A MISSIVE ON NATIONAL MUSEUM ESTABLISHMENT

FOREWORD

  populace learns their national identity through a shared collection of methods: through beliefs and convictions, through warding guardianship, through mentorship instruction, and a myriad of other accessibilities. Thus, a populace recognizes their national identity specifically through the expansive application and utility of their historical resources, as translated then into their cultural, economic, political, and social conducts. Yet, as I sit upon our nation’s apex circle of governmental leadership and peer from the precipice, I take heed of the weak and strained resources behind expressing and understanding the nation's history and development. History is not taught best through just the means of reading pages upon pages within tomes. To see and understand history is to interact with it. Emboldened by change, I tasked myself then with envisioning a bold ambition - to procure the Portoregne National Museum.    

 

 

 

ESTABLISHMENT STRUCTURE

 

  Procuring a national museum involves balance between its interests and exhibits. As such, the Portoregne National Museum will encompass several wings to its construction. Each division will possess a select theme for the exhibits in possession as currently defined:   

 

• Of National History, denoting national archaeology and anthropology.
• Of Reign History, denoting progression of noble reigns and pedigrees.
• Of Artisan Works, denoting pieces produced by artisans reflective of anthropological history and significant impacts to social, cultural, religious, and national identity.
• Of Flora & Fauna, denoting plants and animals relevant to the climates and environments throughout points of time.
• Of Open Space, denoting murals, sculptures, and other grander works reflective of cultural awareness and expression alongside monumental marks in history.

 

  Per convenience, the Portoregne National Museum would be constructed in the space of the Academy of Godfrey. Renovations will also be pursued for creating a separate space for academic work and instruction as warranted. Additionally, select museum wings will provide areas for hosted activities, ranging from artisan and mural creation to tours and open discussions, and will also cycle through different exhibits and works based on a selective theme to offer fresh interest for the populace. A museum is to serve more as a live body rather than a filled warehouse. Such is the pinnacle goal I aspire to achieve.

 

 

CLOSING REMARKS

 

  It is with my fervent hope that both governmental leadership and fellow citizenry offer, at the very least, an open discussion to this proposition I propose. Senate candidates, soldiers of the Regiment, neighboring peerage, and other folk have expressed support on the matter. The prospect of a national museum is not solely for the sake of advancing scholarship within these walls, nor for the sake of creating a storage for replicas and materials of all sorts.

 

 

A national museum is to honor a people’s history over the expansive tapestry of time, and to further uphold that honor through teaching and learning its knowledge.

 

 

     With Senate elections upon our horizons, and with future steps towards each and every next day, I call upon support for establishing the Portoregne National Museum. Through this project, I aim to not just inspire those within our walls, but to those across the realm as well. History has always stood as one of the most difficult subjects to entertain with.

 

Yet, it is not impossible to do so.
