A city of glass and flame, of quartz and stone. Built from nothing but a vision and the will to forge it real. The era of stillness is over, and now begins the age of motion.

The time has come for citizens, friends, and newcomers alike to take up the mantle of service and shape the legacy of Helious. Be you a scholar, soldier, builder, healer, or dreamer, your hands are needed.

Below are the current roles and offices open to those who would see Helious flourish. These are not mere titles, they are responsibilities, honors, and bonds to our people.

PRIVY POSITIONS

Appointed by the Lord or Lady of House Mah’nel, these roles are the pillars of Helious’ inner workings. Trusted, respected, and expected to lead.

The Aeon Jirech’ti -

The high arbiter of Helious’ law. This individual is responsible for interpreting the city’s legal code, judging criminal and civil disputes, and ensuring the just application of order. The Aeon may write and revise laws in consultation with Helious and oversee the appointment of Judges. They are the balance between mercy and justice.

 

The Master of the Interior -

The steward of Helious’ soul. From the planning of festivals to the operation of guilds, inns, and public events, the Master of the Interior is responsible for ensuring the daily life of Helious thrives with color, culture, and unity. They manage citizen outreach, cultural projects, and work closely with the Tavern Owner and Event Planner.

 

The Captain of the Watch -

The sword and shield of the city. Tasked with organizing the house guard, patrolling the streets, training new recruits, and defending the city’s walls and nobility. The Captain of the Watch also enforces law in the field, coordinating closely with the Aeon Jirech’ti to bring justice to the unruly and peace to the commonfolk.

GOVERNMENT POSITIONS

Open roles for citizens and residents. These offices are essential to the city’s heartbeat and offer the chance to rise in trust and standing.

Tavern Owner - 

Keeper of warmth and welcome. Responsible for the operation, upkeep, and atmosphere of Helious’ tavern. This role includes managing the tavern staff, coordinating drink and food supplies, hosting events, and ensuring it remains a beacon of life and laughter in the city.

 

Chief Medic -

A guardian of life. The Chief Medic oversees the clinic, healing injured citizens and travelers alike. They manage medicinal supplies, mentor apprentice medics, and may accompany the guard on critical missions to ensure lives are preserved. A role of compassion, discipline, and wisdom.

 

Chief Artificer - 

The spark behind Helious’ ingenuity. This inventor is tasked with developing automatons, crafting advanced mechanical tools, and researching new innovations to bolster the city’s technological edge. Collaborates with guards, medics, and builders alike to ensure function meets brilliance.

Tavern Keeper - Assists the Tavern Owner with serving food, brewing drinks, and keeping the tavern lively.

 

Medic - Trained in healing arts; works under the Chief Medic to treat the sick and injured.

 

Judge - May be appointed under the Aeon Jirech’ti to oversee minor trials and civic disputes.

 

Guard - Upholds the peace of Helious; defends against bandits, intruders, and threats.

 

Librarian - Maintains archives, historical tomes, and magical records. Ideal for those who love the written word.

 

Scribe - Assists in documentation, missive writing, and maintaining civic records.

 

Cleric of the Temple - Keeper of the city’s faith and spiritual rites. Leads prayer, blesses events, and provides counsel.

 

Event Planner - Works under the Master of the Interior to bring celebration and unity through organized gatherings and festivals.
