During the year 267 of the Second Age, three priests of the Kirkja Dverga and others convened to discuss the ascension of the fallen Gror Ireheart to Paragon status. After a lengthy discussion about the life of Gror Ireheart, in consideration of the Petition of the Hero of Dungrimm Sigrun ‘Undeadslayer’ Stonehammer, the personal testimony of the Rhun Prophet Norli Starbreaker, and the wisdom of Thromdrick Irongut; the three priests came to a conclusion to put forth to the High Preceptor Grelu Silverbraid.

By declaration of the High Preceptor, Gror Ireheart is proclaimed ascendent into the halls of our ancestors, Khaz’A’Dentrumm, entered into the ranks of the glorious Paragons as ‘The Oathkeeper’, Servant of Dungrimm. Let all dwarves remember the heroic life led by the newest member to join the legendary list of dwarven Paragons for his legendary feats and characteristics.

Paragonhood was never meant for those who sought it. It was carved for those who carried burdens without asking to be seen. Gror Ireheart did not live loudly—he lived true. Oaths were not words to him, but bindings stronger than steel, kept even when the keeping cost him everything.

 

If the Kirkja names him The Oathkeeper, then let it be remembered why: not for victories alone, but for the quiet moments where turning aside would have been easier—and he did not. May his name be spoken not only in reverence, but as a standard. One others measure themselves against, and often fall short of.
