[Ammendment] Let Telekentic Atronachs Explode Too!!

Contingency [Combat]  - When near death, a Telekinetic Atronach can expel the remaining mana in their core completely, exploding into hundreds of pieces of jagged shards of their plating which fly in every direction. Such an attack can be deadly if one is unprotected against its wrath.

Mechanic

Spoiler

Contingency causes the Telekinetic Atronach to explode into hundreds of jagged shards of whatever material their plating is made of, which go flying in every direction around the center of the explosion.
The projectiles themselves can be up to four inches in length and can vary greatly in width depending on the material.
The projectiles are sharp though and will fly up to the speed of a crossbow bolt in every direction, embedding themselves in the skin and causing severe bruises or puncture wounds.
Contingency has a radius of up to seven blocks and the projectiles will remain upon landing.
The projectiles depend greatly on the material the Atronachs plating is made of, and if the material or a material adjacent to it is not listed then common sense must be used.
- Metal plating can puncture most armor, the tip often at least breaking skin, while more blunt projectiles may cause bruises beneath plates. Unarmored sections of a body would be cut up and pierced with little difficulty, potentially also fracturing bones
- Stone and similar materials will mostly be blunt, often fracturing bones of armored folk or breaking unprotected bones. Though scrapes and bruises are still possible.
- Crystal type plates (or glass) will mostly cause dozens of cuts and scrapes over unprotected flesh, enough to pierce light armor but plates will only be damaged, protecting the wearer.
- Wooden, cloth, or other weaker materials will only shove people back up to 2 blocks, scraping at flesh or causing splinters.

Redlines.

Spoiler
  • This attack can only be used when the Atronach is at critical core level or is about to perish.
  • An Atronach using Contingency is incredibly obvious and is not something that can be done subtly.

why cant telekinetic atronachs explode when they die unlike ALL the other types? who knows. This amendment will hopefully fix the first to words of that question of "why cant" by saying "they can"

so I also had a bit of fun and made the plates exploding being what causes the damage, and different kinds of plates having different effects (someone asked why I added glass, and I said because people are crazy and I wouldn't be surprised if they made one)
