Hail, denizens of Azuras. I seek a being, who I believe walks somewhere amongst you.

I seek a phoenix. Not just any phoenix, no. A specific phoenix, who may take the guise of a man.

This phoenix goes by the name of Aesingyr.

If you have ever heard of this person, or have any information you can share regarding him, please write to me back.

Sincerely,

Jay Amaranth

"I knew a guy like this, but he was a parrot." The mountain ascetic tosses the paper into the wind where it slowly glides down from the peak.

The Phoenix, the vampire kind and not the one they search for finds this missive somewhere in Azuras, perhaps even the black church. As he peers at it he wonders how his alias was discovered, only then to realize it is not him they search for.

Somewhere deep up a wintery mountain peak, a dragonkin recently awoken from lengthy slumber clutches upon one such missive that had filtered from on high. As though it had recently been thrown from somewhere further upon that peak.

Smoke claws from the heavy tilt of a frown upon her lips as resigned eyes scan the page, and but a single thought does call to her:

⥑ Aesingyr, bird of white plumage. What have you done? Where have you been? ⥏

A foul creature lofts its unholy gaze upon the missive, that which fell far too close to home. Bright red and spiraling eyes gave the words a reading. Mal intent dripped from it in waves that crashed. It's flickering stare, obsession made manifest. . .

"Jay. . . What are you . . Hoping. . . to find. . . from  t h a t. . .  Flying. . . too close. . . to the. . . s u n. . . Old. . . F r i e n d. . ."

It let the missive drift away in the wind then crawled back into the shadows. Skeletal fingers left to scratch and drag the dirt from behind.
