House Lycian

((I have decided that my previous House was not fully written with the Lore in mind so I have made a new one based on the Lore and one of the books the Lore is based on.))

House Lycian

Motto: "When winter comes, we shall be warm."

The House Lycian is a relatively new noble family that had come about in the last few generations. They are of a mixed family of Notherners and Southrons. They were originally a middle class family of merchants and soldiers who lived in and around Oren. In the year 1100 or so the eldest, Lorenzo Lycian, sent his children out to seek fortunes outside of Aegis. Many of his children died in their journeys and travels but his two sons of perfectly balanced blood, half Northern, half Southron. Their names were Rafael and Cosimo. They brought back with them gold and news of the lands outside of Aegis. Their father who had spent the last 30 years while his sons were away working his way into the politics of Oren traded the King half of the sons wealth for a noble name. In 1130 of the Second Seed the king created the noble house of Lycian. 2 years later Lorenzo died a happy and rich man. Rafael and Cosimo split up the inheritance equally. Cosimo spent his time in court helping his family grow politically while his brother built their beautiful estate near the city of their birth Winterfell.

Unfortunately after eight years of bliss and riches the estate was attacked by a rival family seeking to gain the Lycians political power. The brothers and their wives were killed leaving the 3 sons and daughter to defend themselves. They let loose their wolves which tore apart the assassins and one of the sons was killed by an arrow to the throat. The three remaining members fought over the inheritance of their fathers and the two brothers poisoned each other leaving the young Caterina Lycian to tend to her family. Her advantage in the affair was that she knew where her father and uncle had gotten their gold and she left in the year 1150 at the age of 30 with the cadet guard branch of her family the Tessels to the lands far to the east.

By the 1300s the name Lycian had been forgotten and their glorious estate to the north had been long destroyed by raiders and Undead. A young dark elf by the name of Miira had gone to Al'Khazar and purchased land in the name of Lycian. She then built the Bank of Aegis (though it shall soon carry another name) and ran it all the while under the Lycian name. Those who heard of this were suprised as they had believed that the Lycians had vanished almost 200 years ago. She stated that her employers had just came to Oren on a beautiful merchant ship with gold and materials for building the bank and paid her to do so. A young man then came up to the palace proclaiming that he was heir to the Lycians and had returned to help the Kingdom as best he could in its current state. they checked his documentation and found proof that he was truly heir to the Lycians. His name was Lord Reynard Lycian, Principe Mercante della Mercante Fiorentino Campionato. He has brought not only his name but several family members and documents of members of the family already in Oren. The Lycians have returned. . .

((So this is my new family and character. I hope this was well written and somewhat entertaining to read. This also includes a Guild. I mean a Guild in the true sense as it is a merchant and banking guild. It will be posted soon as I need more time to work out the exact details.))

Estates: As of yet the Lycians live in small temporary housing in Al'Khazar. They seek to build an estate like that of their home in the lands outside of Aegis.

P.S. Yes I play multiple characters for both IC and OOC reasons so if you notice that in-game I am not Reynard just message me ooc in-game.

Also if a GM or leader of the Human Nation past or present would please give feedback on this family as I would like to have my family fully ready for the rest of this map and for the new map.))
