Gold ingots to Minas

Hey,

I haven't looked, but there has to be a plugin that turns gold ingots into a currency, and vice versa.

This would allow for people to have their 'banking' system of keeping their money safe although stagnant and not getting them more money. Of course this then devalues the price of death, but as the dev team said earlier they are planning on ways of making death more severe.

I wouldn't know the best conversion rate since I've never been in the mines, but I would think 1 gold ingot = 500 minas would be a good exchange rate.

That is a possible idea, however you could just simply buy peoples ores instead, making a more organic economy.

Yeah, but if you can turn minas into ingots then you are guaranteed to get your money back 1 for 1 while buying and selling ingots (or any item for that matter) off of PC's may result in a gain or loss in money depending on changes in the market. So instead of hording your money you're buying shares in gold ingots, iron ingots, or even some thing as random as dirt.

but that is how a market works! dont you understand this is what real life is you will almost never come across a 1 to 1 sale/buy, and selling it like this brings more interaction and more rp!

I say no to this, All city's are expanding their Marketplaces and NPC Traders are already there. Just sell them with RP or sell them to a NPC.

this idea isnt that bad becouse it could create jobs in banks as they could start this exchanging from minas to g ingots the biggest problem with this would be that gold would lower or raise in price and the search for gold would raise or lower aswell so i dont think this is the best idea out there altouth it would be nice for bandits to be abel to steal money as you keep it yourself or creating safes where you can keep your money without losing it upon death... but if you could make a new item that is not abel to be made and only spawned this might be a good idea.
