Out-Of-Character:

Minecraft Account Name: Tryalll

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No I did not, I didn't have to time to go to minecon. The main reason is because I don't live close to America.

How old are you?: I am 14 years old.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: +1 GTM.

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I do.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am an experienced roleplayer, I've been roleplaying for quite some time. I've been playing minecraft for one and a half year. This would be my first roleplay server.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: It depends on how much I like the server.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:Roleplaying means playing a certain role. You would develop and IC character that would encounter dangers and whatnot. It also means that it would be realistic. You can't powergame or metagame.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. ((Why is metagaming and powergaming with a capital letter?))

Metagaming is where you abuse your out of character (real life) knowledge when playing in character. An example of metagaming would be reading John's nametag on his head, which only your real life person sees, not your character, and making your character say "Hello John". In real life, you do not know the person's name until he or someone else tells you it. If he tells you a fake name, you may have to go by it as you have no knowledge of what his real name is.

Powergaming is when you would force someone to do certain things. You can't push someone on the ground. You can try, but he can block the push, if it is a valid reason, though. Powergaming also means that you cannot do unrealistic things such as flying through the air.

What do you expect this server will be like?:I hope to have a good time with my friends, I also hope to have some high-quality roleplay.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I left a few server before. Lack of interest, mostly. I've been playing on my friends server mostly.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:Yes, I did.

How did you hear about us?: A friend told me about it. Seems legit.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? No, I did not. I want to see the community, the roleplay and such first. So I can think of my vote. I don't give votes away.

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:Cleaning

In-Character:

Character Name: Bob

What is your Race?: Human, of course.

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Bob is a 25year old guy, that has been wandering around for quite a long time now. He found some friends and is wanting to make some cash with them.

Chapter 1 : How it all began.

Bob was born in a small village named "Balzor " he was the oldest one of 2 brothers. His father had a big farm and could provide his family with plenty of food and shelter. When Bob was 14 years old he had to help is father on the farm. He never liked working on a farm, but he was good at it, and that was the most important thing. When Bob reached the age of 18 he left the house after huge arguments with his father about the farm and the house. He left to start his own life, things didn't go as planned. Things went out pretty badly.

Chapter 2 : Money

Bob took some money with him when he left the house, after a month half of it was gone to buy food. He was wandering around, like always. He saw some guys with bow and sword in the distance. He needed money so bad, that he went towards them and offered his services. He spent 2 days with them, that night, he woke up, seeing them running away. He checked his money...

They stole it! They stole his money! Once again he was walking around the forest, with no money this time. He became a different person.. Not the nicest one to say. His clothes were old, and he had nowhere to go. Then he found 2 guys, they seemed trustworthy.

Chapter 3 : The plan.

The 2guys had a plan, then wanted to buy and sell houses, and they would split the money. Bob was happy about how stuff was going. It is still going on, actually... Bob is now, still haning with these guys, waiting on what is going to happen.

Your characters ambitions: He want to make money, and rebuilt his life, with a new house and family. With help of this 2 new friends, ofcourse.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? He wouldn't bother helping the elf, he thinks about it though. If he would see that he would remember it for a few months. He wont help because he is weak now. If he would see the bandits again, he would get them.

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? What do you want? Oh, I don't have any money, I'm afraid. I'm so sorry, maybe another time. **Bob slowly begans to run abit, trying to get away from the shopkeeper**

Denied.

Your biography seems underdevelopped, it doesn't really tell me what kind of a person Bob is. Some parts do not make sense, such as buying and selling houses. That's generally a job for the wealthy, and Bob had absolutely no money on his person. Being unrealistic like this is a form of powergaming. You will need to explain how he got this money, and also why these two men are willing to share their profits with him when he cannot help them in any way.

Your open response questions need more work and detail. You need to write more than your character's justification and initial reaction. You need to pursue the scenario to its completion, describing everything that happens, including the other character's reactions. This is an opportunity to show that you can roleplay and avoid metagaming and powergaming. For example, if your character does not bother helping, it's unlikely the bandits will simply ignore him when they're done with the elf. Does he hide? How does he hide?
