My minecraft account name is juanito3000. It is not the most original name out there but it suits me well. Everyone I know knows me by that name.

No, unfortunately I don’t live near the place where minecon was held. I’m also quite young to be able to go there by myself.

How old are you?:

I’m currently 14, but I hope to live longer

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?

I’m not the national spelling bee winner but I learned the English language 5 years ago and I’ve practiced it over those years. You could say my English is somewhat… decent.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I’m a Colombian gamer boy, always looking for more to do. Always wanted to join this group of role-players and test my own skills of roleplaying. I can speak 3 languages, including English and French. I love pc gaming a lot. I usually play minecraft, league of legend and terraria, but I also enjoy playing other platform games.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

As much time as I can. When I get back from school, I do my homework of course, but after that, I spend as much time as I can on playing games. I’ll play minecraft more if I get accepted.

What do you know about Role playing? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

Roleplaying is taking control of a character’s life. It’s like living another life, from scratch! You have the power to change his emotions, decide his every movement. You need to be very wise because in this server, you only have one chance.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Meta gaming:

Meta gaming is when you use a certain set of knowledge in the game, that you're in game character does not know. People usually use it to get advantage in the game.

Example:

The player has knowledge that his character doesn't and the player uses that knowledge in the game. A character saves another character just because the players know each other in the real world, or are in love in the real world. That is meta gaming.

Power gaming:

Power gaming is sort of giving yourself an unfair advantage on the other players to achieve your goal, even though what you say that you are doing isn't technically Rp'lly possible.

Example :

Me: I will slay you with my sword!

The man: You cannot slay me I have a diamond armor on!

Me: That’s not a diamond armor! It’s a leather suit with the same color has a diamond armor!

The man: No you can't slay me because if you hit me, I will hit you with my sword and you'll turn into water!

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I expect it to be more than amazing, with huge buildings and great roleplaying players that seek more and more adventures. With tons of plug-ins that will make the adventures even more realistic and pleasant. I’d love to see all the cities this server has to offer!

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I used to play in a french server called Graphicraft. It was not so populated but we we’re all really friendly and we knew each other well. It had pretty cities and I played with friends of mine. I stopped playing because all my close friends left and came to this server. They always tell me how good it is.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes, I have read, understood, and agreed to the rules and I shall never do anything that might ruins someone else’s experience.

How did you hear about us?

I heard it from friends who play on this server. They always tell me to come play with them, so I’m trying to get accepted. They tell me it is really organized and beautiful.

Yes I voted for LOTC and my vote number was 2,623.

The name of my character is Vince Dragon-Heart

What is your Race?:

Vince is a human.

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.

Vince was born in the city of Salvus. His parents were both really poor and all his other family was slain by an undead invasion. He lived a hard life during the first 13 years of his existance because of bad economic situation until he met with another kid. His name was Elandorr. Together they dreamed of the same thing. To one day, yes, one day become rich and known all over the world! that was the greatest ambition of Vince.

They both grew, lived and trained together for a really long time.

-'Training will make us stronger and more popular!' thought Vince!

-'Living together will make us inseparable!' added Elandorr

-'Elandorr, one day, maybe one day we will become rich! I'm sure of that!' happily said Vince.

They always thought that they could go trought any obstacle and defeat any enemy if they stayed together.

A lot of changes happened to the world of Asulon. Such as the temporal defeat of the undead and the change of names in cities. They both tought about it very well and they finally decided to go live in a new city called Seventis. Elandorr joined a family called Dracaena but Vince wasn't to sure about joining just yet. Elandorr opened a shop in city and is doing very well. Vince, on his part, always liked working hard for his money. Sometimes he helps at the shop but he prefers going into the wilds for hunting or fishing.

Vince was always really quiet, he does not like to talk much. He always has a hood on and is really agile. He loves swords, bows and arrows and he thinks that he is going to achieve his ultimate goal by using his skills on those weapons. He is not Evil but he loves black! He only has black clothes that make him look very ghostly and fast.

Your characters ambitions:

Since he was really young, Vince always wanted to become really rich. He never knew what it felt since he was born in a poor family. Together with his friend Elandorr he is confident that he will achieve that goal no matter what!

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

Vince comes in and attacks the two bandits. When the two bandits are killed or defeated, he asks the elf if he could give him a reward. If the elf gives him a reward, Vince would appreciate it but if he doesn't, he would just walk away angrily. He would say nothing and show no emotions.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

Vince would tell him “I need a ______”. That would be the only thing he would say. Vince is known for being quiet. If he doesn’t need anything, he would just make a hand gesture saying no.

Vince is a great warrior that can handle sword as well as bow. He is very strong and can be very dangerous when he needs to. He is extremely agile!

Do not worry though; this does not mean you cannot apply again, quite the contrary! After two hours you may apply again which gives you plenty of time to fix up your application, plan it out as well as use all of this advice which I have given you in this post to make your application one of the best. Luckily for you there are plenty of ways to learn the correct definition. First of all you can look on the lord of the craft wiki and then search for "Powergaming", you can join our Team Speak channel (You can get Team Speak from http://teamspeak.com/?page=downloads ), or you can do a google search.

Your biography needs improvement.

There is not much wrong with it, but for two major things.

You said:

Asulon is a relatively new continent, in the sense that the people have only been here for a few years. The old continent was called "Aeigs". I suggest you do some research on such and find out what happened to it.

Both the RP situation answers need improvement.

You cannot just write that “I kill the bandits” or “I help the elf”. There must first be some role-play such as talking and some warning before the combat takes place. Be as descriptive as possible when writing about the situation. Include all of the bandits and your actions, as well as all of the speaking that takes place. Instead of writing it like “I would do this, and then this and then the elf would thank me.” Write it like a story so: Zolgash would bellow in an attempt to scare the bandits. “Get away from that elf or you will taste my steel!” The bandits laugh at the orc and turn towards him, but still keeping an eye on the elf. “Ya don’t scare us, green flith.” The bandits charge at Zolgash, meeting steel on steel. See the difference?

You need to write a lot more for the second one. Everyone (and I mean everyone) just writes that they buy something, and leave. What is that? It shows a lack of effort in my opinion. All you have to do is use your imagination, create something innovative, exciting and fun for the reader. There are endless possibilities, for example you could write that the shop keeper is actually a bandit who is luring victims into his shop and then he gets his thug friends to come in from the rear to block your escape, or perhaps the shop keeper tries to cheat you of an item and you respond by calling the guards and something exciting happens. The possibilities are endless; all you have to do is be creative.
