Out-Of-Character

Minecraft Account Name: My account name is _PH4NT0M_, which stands for Phantom.

How old are you?: I am fifteen years old, and turning sixteen in March.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: I live in Canada, Ontario. My time-zone is EST -5.

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, I have an excellent grasp on the English language, and also know proper grammar.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a friendly, caring, patient, gentle, loving, kind, and helpful person, I also believe I have good judgment. I love to roleplay, and I also enjoy playing creative games. I also love to play sports, video games, and hang out with friends.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Most likely somewhere between twenty to thirty hours per week.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is taking the place of another character other than yourself. You must act like the character you chose to be, for example, roleplaying as a bandit or a tradesman. You must remember to only act upon actions that you experience with your character who you are roleplaying as. You also have remember at all times to not meta-game.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have had a great amount of experience with roleplaying. I play a game called Garrysmod which has a roleplaying game mode that people have made, and I have played on many roleplaying servers on that game, I have 870 hours worth of gameplay on Garrysmod, and over 90% of that time is on roleplaying servers. If some of you have played on a Garrysmod roleplaying server before, I'd like to let you know that I have not only played the "DarkRP" roleplaying game mode, but also on much more serious roleplaying servers.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-gaming is acting upon OOC information and using it IC. Here is an example, you see in OOC that players are discussing that they were soon going to plan a bandit raid on your town, so you alert the town guards to prepare for a bandit attack. Another example would be to see a player's name above their head, and walk up to them and calling them by their name, when your character wouldn't have known it.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power-gaming is forcing an action upon someone without giving them the chance to react to that action. An example, a player runs up to you and immediately starts attacking you without giving you a chance to prevent it. Another example could be if you started a brawl with another player, and they agree, but as soon as you start, the other player emotes "I begin to swing punchs at my opponents head, and to my surprise, I immediately knock him out". That would be considered power-gaming because you never had a chance to counter his or her action.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect it will provide a very entertaining, roleplaying environment for me to participate in.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have only played on one other Minecraft roleplaying server, which is MassiveCraft. It wasn't really a serious roleplaying server, because the only thing that I think would be considered roleplaying about it was the fact that you chose what kind of race you were by the type of skin you had, and that it was medieval themed, but it wasn't like you had to roleplay a character that you chose to be. It is a factions server. Why I left it? Well, I mostly stopped playing on it because I just got bored of it. But if this question is not only referring to Minecraft, then I have played on many Garrysmod roleplaying servers, one of them is called Notorious Gamers, and I am a "Mega Admin" (above Super Admin, but below Co-Owner) on it, which I still actively play on. I also play on a Garrysmod roleplaying server called The Epsilon Role Play, and still play on it from time to time. These are just two of the Garrysmod servers that I am more active in, I have played on other random roleplaying servers as well.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I have read, understood, and also agree to follow the rules.

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I agree to all of the rules, and will follow them accordingly.

How did you hear about us?: I actually heard of Lord of the Craft from my brother, his Minecraft account name is Viper3X.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: Yes, I have voted three times. My vote numbers are 4,065, 4,203 and 4,280.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Hmm, where to start. Well, my name is Averir Akalir, I am 204 human years old, I am a male, and I am a wood elf along with my parents. I grew up in the world of Aegis with my mother Yuln'mayilu Akalir, and my father Lirrame Akalir, then, when the population of Aegis began to travel to Asulon for known reasons, we went with them, and settled in the Wood Elf City of Elandriel.

I grew up in a little village, we owned a farm, but mostly my mother and I had to care for it, because my father was a traveling merchant and also a hunter. I didn't see him very often for he was out traveling to various cities selling his merchandise. Though, when he was at home, he would often take me out with him on some of his hunting trips and we would usually bring home many deer meat and pelts. We weren't a poor family, but weren't rich either, we tried to survive just as any other family did.

It is our family's heritage to become a traveling merchant, and that is what I aimed to become. Eventually, my father started taking me with him on many of his travels. We would travel to cities, towns, villages, and even camps to sell our merchandise. We mostly sold common foods and other necessities, but from time to time, we would sell precious gems when we acquired on our journeys, and since my father was a hunter we always had plenty of furs to sell. It was a good life, but as my father got older, he stopped traveling as much as he used to, so I had to take over as the merchant in our family, and it was my honor to be it. So while my parents stayed home and looked after the farm, I was out traveling and exploring the world of Asulon, trying to sell my merchandise to all of the places that I traveled to.

OOC: Averir is light skinned, has dirty blonde hair color, and as well has blue eyes. He also wears a hat, vest, satchel, and fur cloak. Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Averir responds by observing what is happening with the halfling and the two warriors, he then carefully approaches the three people and asks "What's going on?", one of the warriors replied with "Uh, n-n-nothing, w-we were just...", not being able to think of what to say next, the other warrior added "He was searching through our bags!". The halfling, shaking in fear, responded with "They're lying! I never touched their bags, or any of their stuff!". Averir, not believing the warriors, handed them a small pouch of twenty minas, and saying "I think this will solve our issue?", hoping to persuade the warriors. The warriors, smiling at the sight of the minas, ended the conversation with "Yes, I think it will.", then turned and walked away. Averir asked the halfling if he/she was alright, and the halfling said "Yes, now that those warriors are gone I think I will be just fine. Thank you for your help, I don't know what would have happened if you didn't show up when you did!". Averir smiled and patted the halfling on the shoulder while saying "It's the least I could do.", then continued on his travels.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Averir, while browsing the mans wares, replies with "Hello, I am in the need of some iron axes. The man responds with "Alright, I think I have a few around here somewhere. Oh, here they are, I seem to have three currently in stock.". "That will do." said Averir. "It will cost you thirty minas per axe." stated the man. Averir, hoping to make a good bargain, looked at his bundles of wheat and pile of furs, asking "Would it be alright if I traded a few items for the axes?". The man answered with "I think something could be arranged, if I can get enough items to compensate for the minas.". Averir, replying to the mans answer, said "How about three bundles of wheat and five deer pelts for your three iron axes?". Pondering the offer, the man responded saying "I think that will do just fine.". Shaking the mans hand, Averir replied with "That's great, thanks!". So they traded the items with each other, and Averir continued on his walk through Alras.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Averir would respond by slowly walking up to the hut, scanning the area for any form of life. "What's this?" he thought to himself as he noticed the chest in the hut. "Hmm, this hut appears to be abandoned." he also thought. Carefully entering the hut, he lifted up the chest's top, and noticed three iron ingots, and a gold sword. Looking around outside again, he confirmed that no one was around. So, he went back into the hut and opened up his backpack, he then carefully picked up the ingots and sword, and placed them into his satchel. He went back outside and continued wandering through the wilderness.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "Hello!" Averir said as he shook the traders hands. "Hello, and welcome to our trading camp!" replied the traders. "If your interested in anything you see, don't hesitate to ask.". Averir responded with "Well, do you have any food? I am very hungry and am willing to pay.". The traders answered with "Yes, we have plenty! Take a look around at our food and let us know what you want to buy.". After a bit of examining the traders food, I noticed some freshly baked bread and some cooked fish, I asked the men "How much do your bread and fish cost?". The men answered with "Three minas for a loaf of bread, and five minas per fish.". Carefully inspecting the food, I said "Hmm, how about two minas per loaf, and three minas per fish? If you accept my offer, I will take five of each.". The traders quietly discussed the offer, and finally said "Alright, you got a deal!". "Thank you gentlemen.", I replied with while handing over the minas to them. Then, they gave me the food, and I carefully wrapped them in a fine cloth and gently placed them into my backpack. While waving goodbye to the traders, I said "Goodbye gentlemen. Thank you for selling me that food, I don't know what I would have done if I didn't come across your camp.", and they replied with "Goodbye sir. It was our pleasure to sell.". Walking away from the camp, I looked for a nearby tree to rest against while I ate my food in peace.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Averir, hoping to make some minas out of this, approached the leader and said "I am not much of a fighter, but I can provide weapons and armor to anyone that needs it, as well as potions and food.". The leader then responded with "Perfect, we might need some weapons and armor for the volunteers.". "Alright, If anyone needs weapons and armor, or food and potions, just come and see me." stated Averir.
