Darius approaches the west gate of Kingston. Upon finding it closed, he would look inside to see who could open it for him. He then sees multiple of his Shields lined up in front of the line statue, and shortly after he hears a shout coming from the walls above him. He recognized this voice, it was Thomas Chivay. After the shout, he stood hopelessly on the other side of the gate as he watched bolts rain down on his fellow Shields. He watched as his Lord Commander was slaughtered among them, and shortly after he quickly moved around the outside of the city to avoid being seen and possibly facing the same fate as his comrades. While watching the entrance to the west gate from a distance, he saw multiple armoured men leaving the city, and Thomas Chivay was among them. He would not forget what happened that day.

Upon reading the edict, Darius would then begin shaking his head. "We knew the day would come... We knew it all along." He would then organize a small patrol and head out to the city streets, for possibly his last patrol of the city.
