Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

I would sure hope I have a good grip on the English language and grammar as I am in an English 1200 course at my community college. Also, I've been correcting my friends and family on grammar since high school.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

Oddly enough, I am very similar to pumpkin_eaters, who created the LOTC template I read over. I am a college student and I do absolutely love Minecraft! I enjoy sushi, whenever I can afford it, and Monster Energy. My major is in Graphic Design and I plan to use that degree to become a video game designer. I am extremely creative as I have been drawing, painting, creating small 2d Flash games and using Photo Shop since as long as I can remember.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Again, like pumpkin_eaters and most college students, I'm looking for a job and when I do, I won't be on as much. Though, until then I will be on every chance I get. I do play World of Warcraft as my main game and I take PvP (Player vs. Player) seriously, so my priority is school>WoW>Minecraft. I'm going to make a guess at around 20 hours a week.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

In role playing, participants act out characters in a predefined situation dealing with controversial aspects of social interactions, physical interactions and character development. When role playing, one will become a character in a world that is real to the character. The player must almost act out a character in this world to meet the standards of the role play and not breaking the mentality of the character no matter what.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I have done some role playing, mostly on Minecraft and a little on World of Warcraft. Most of the role playing servers on Minecraft claim to have the best RP experience but they build up so much hype and fail to provide. I'm hoping that all of this work put into creating this application will be worth it for this server.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Meta-Gaming is a new word to me, therefore I had to look it up. After searching around for a bit I came to the conclusion that Meta-Gaming is a way or means of gathering outside information that your character does not know, then using that information to benefit you in-game. An example could be playing a character race in a game and wanting to know more information about them. You could then search the internet for information, or lore, on that race.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

I must say that this Power-Gaming is new to me, though I looked it up on my first application I failed to understand it. After immense research I found that Power-Gaming is to give yourself, or your character, an OP (over powered) advantage as compared to other players or characters in-game. An example would be claiming that your character is a god and has no weaknesses, which would not be role playing in any way shape or form.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

Well I have heard great things about this server from my friend, Xanivic (Minecraft name), as he tells me how fun and big the world is. I expect to be treated fairly while at the same time keeping a professional role playing experience when interacting with other players in-game. I hope to learn more about this server as I play it and hope that the world, players and experience are as fun and interesting as my friend describes.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have spent the most time on a server called For3verPlay. Though they are great and fun people, the server lacks in everything. I spend most of my time alone on the server since there aren't many people, the areas are too spread out and there are multiple worlds. Also, I have managed my own server. It wasn't and RP server but it was a place to go and have fun with people, a place to show off your creativity. Neither server offered the experience I was hoping for.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

I have read and yes I understand and agree with these rules. They seem to be the most fair and well thought rules I've come across in Minecraft.

My name is Elazar Roifang, son of Varian Roifang.

Why, I am a might Human of course.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

I was born in Jacinto, a huge industrious city near the border of Nethosia and Azinoth. Life in the city of Jacinto is a very harsh and busy one. Though it was easy to become wealthy in this city, jobs were scarce. My mother, Adalie, and my father, Aedaeoses, both worked until the recession hit. Both of my parents lost their jobs withing weeks of each other and days after the recession started. At that time I was 17, old enough to work and do some good for out family. Fortunately, my father saved up enough money to support us, at least for a few months. I would often look for jobs within walking distance of our home. Though, one day I decided to explore and head into an area completely new to me.

Entering this unexplored area I found myself in a completely new city, Grimmoria. This city was similar to my home town but everyone seemed more shady, more shallow. Walking through the sea of unfamiliar and scary faces I found myself lost, unable to return home. I managed to find a job hunting for the local meat market and find a place to stay in the meantime. To this day I haven't mustered up the courage to finally get up and leave this town to search for my parents. Now at age 23 I've noticed how much I've changed. I now have thick, dark hair spiked up and a black goatee on my chin. My eyes are a strange shade of purple, not very common around here. I've grown quite a bit of muscle, lean but not huge and I often wear black robes with a hood. Oh my, I've grown quite a bit! I'm now 6 feet tall. I never thought I'd be this tall in all my life.

I heard word a few days ago about a boat leaving for this place called Asulon. I've never heard of it before but people have been promising new jobs, shelter and protection from the raiding bandits. I plan on catching that boat to find myself an education or some training. Only then will I be prepared for the journey back to my parents. That is, if they're still alive...

What is your Character's ambitions?:

I wish, more than anything, to make it back to my parents and show them how much I've grown and see them once more. I want to make sure they're safe and if they are, I want to be able to return the favor by taking care of them.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

Being a hunter I tend to use the bow for everything. This bow has gone through everything with me since my arrival in Grimmoria and my job as a local hunter in the local market. This bow has become my trusted companion and my best friend in times of extreme tension. This bow is my savior, my friend and my life.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

Ah, my most skilled talents you ask? Well, I would say my ability to use a bow to defend myself from potential threats or to hunt for this weeks meal would be my most keen skill. I do have a bit of experience in tacking as it is needed to find and kill my enemy or prey. At the same time, I have no protection at a close range. A bow can only do so much when ambushed or attacked by multiple enemies. Hopefully it won't come down to that.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

I would stay hidden in the shadows and watch the situation play out. If I noticed that the warriors were mugging the poor halfling then I would jump into action. If they peacekeepers and this halfling was being punished for an offense then I would be forced to move along.

After watching for a moment it is clear that the halfling is being robbed. Aware of my surrounding I jump into action. Before the warriors had a chance to turn an arrow burrowed its way into the brain of the one closest to the halfling. Pulling out an arrow for another shot the other warrior quickly turns and charges towards me. Diving out of the way at the last second I manage to cause the warrior to stumble, his ax falling to the ground blade up and his face landing straight on it. With both of the warriors defeated I return the money to the poor lad and move on my way as quickly as possible.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

I pause for a second to look the man over. It appears he's trying to sell weapons and ammunition. After checking my quiver I notice I'm down to a mere twenty arrows. I politely ask the man for 50 arrows and pay him accordingly. After shaking his hand I turned and started back on my path.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

“Finally” I say quietly to myself. This is just the thing I've been looking for. I scope out the area carefully. It seems to be clear but I'll keep my guard up and be quick. Jumping out of the bushes in a full sprint I hear a rustle in the trees. Suddenly an arrow whizzes past my face nearly piercing through my nose. I jump back just as 7-10 men come running out of the forest. I know there's more in the trees since that's where the arrow came from. Realizing how outnumbered I am I turn and run as fast as I can. While running I manage to pick off a few of the bandits but I dare not return for fear of my life.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

“Hello there!” I say back at the men. They gather around curious as to what I'm here for. “Do you have any food to spare, gentlemen?” I would ask politely. If they had food I would take as little as they could spare and pay them graciously. If they had no food I would kindly thank them for their time and move along.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

I would respond as quickly as I could and state that I would gladly and valiantly fight to defend this humble town. During preparation I would propose a plan to the general, as I have a great knowledge of the outlying area from my recent hunting trips. With the plan in place I would march with the soldiers to battle and fight with these brave men to protect the town.

I'd like to say that after reading your application I am convinced you are a very mature individual that would fit well in our community. I enjoyed reading your application, but unfortunately I have to deny you for a few reasons. I really want you to re-apply when you get the chance because you seem like you would be a skilled roleplayer and would create useful and helpful things here.

I understand you searched it and performed extensive research and I am happy you put it in your own words. (Most don't, lol.). Powergaming is one of the more extensive and technical roleplaying terms, it is one of the more difficult to comprehend for most players. On wikipedia, it discloses multiple definitions for Powergaming. Unfortunately, you chose the wrong one. Not your fault. :P

After I read your last Application, you included Riven which is indeed an existing territory in Asulon.

When you have time (Must be time-consuming in college trying to become an aspiring Graphics Designer / Games Designer, cool and nice work. =D), take a look at our lore. Try to include some cities or Kingdom's and how your character relates to them.
