What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is pretending to be a character, that you have invented. It can be as simple as a knight or a hobo, or a blacksmith. Sometimes your character can get a higher place in the community such as a king noble or knight. I prefer playing as a knight who is trained in honor and to fight. You must be your character at all times. I love roleplaying because it is like living another life.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I watch Shadow of Israphel and another server.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Metagaming is when you take information you have learn in an out-of-character etc TeamSpeak, and using it in-character. An example of this is, if I was in a TeamSpeak channel and heard Carl say the co-ordinates to his house, and I went and used the co-ordinates to find him I'd be metagaming. Also if you know someone irl and you call them by their real name and not their roleplaying character thats also meta gaming.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Powergaming is when you actually enforce something upon another player, and not giving them a chance to react to it. Powergaming doesn't make the game fun for anyone except the person who is commiting the act. An example of powergaming is if Tom was chopping down a tree and jorge came and started hitting Tom with a diamond sword. Tom would be dead before he can even turn around.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I think the server will be fun with all NPCs and quests.Overall I think the server will be outstanding.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:I didnt leave the servers I play on Antares my cousins and a zombie server called project zombies.

So you want to hear my story huh? Well I am human, humans in Asulon usually have blond, black, or brown hair some humans have their hair highlitted with lighter colors such as pink green or red. Well I was born in Oren I looked like my strong father who fought in the millitary. My father had straight brown hair. He was cocasion like my mother. My mom had pretty green eyes they sparkled like diamonds in a glittering cave.I was about five when my mother gave birth to my brother Erik sadly my mother died giving birth to Erik. My father then worked at the inn on top of the majestic mountain where middle class and higher class lived. My brother and I stayed at home which was a little farm at the bottom of the mountain. Erik and I worked on the farm and we got wheat and cooked it into bread which was usually dinner. When dad got home he would train my brother and I dad knew a storm was brewing and he wanted my brother and I to be able to defend ourselves. When I was about 15 dad showed Erik and I dad's iron armor he wore when he was in the service. The armor shined like an ender pearl at night. The next thing my dad pulled out of his sturdy worn down chest was a diamond sword forged in the mines of dwarven fairship. My dad gave me the sword and Erik the heavy armor. One day my father was called by the government to go to whisper isles like many other men. There he went fishing. One night my father was told to go get some extra fish for the crew. Unfortunatly a band of visious bandits saw my father and attacked my father, my dad drew a small sharp blade from his pocket. My father knew this was his last battle but he would take down as many bandits as he could. My dad's fishing friend came the next morning and saw the blood bath my father was beatten beyond his known appearance. The next day it was snowy and there was a white sheet of snow on the ground in Oren. A guard knocked at our door with too important things to tell us. Obviously it was the death of our father, and to evacute the city because undead are on their way. In a hurry Erik and I ran into the house with tears falling, eveything we knew was changing we had no clue what was going to happen with no parents. Erik and I only took the armor and sword that father gave us. I grabbed Eriks hand and the only thing I remember was running through the cold snow with tears frosting on my cheeks. I now live in the wilds right by the cloud temple Erik Joined the military of humanity. In the future I would like to join the military of humanity because I know that i'm good with swordsmanship thanks to my dad.

Enough of my past like I said I look like my father I have brown hair and dark brown eyes I have a light skin color. I will help people in need of money or food as long as they dont constantly spend it on beer. I always take risks but heights have never been on my side. I wear a green cloak which stands for blending in and being sneaky. I also wear knee guards which represents wearing armor and protection in my family.

What is your Character's ambitions?:Serve his country even if it means death. Zachary has alwys wanted to serve humanity his dad told him of saviors of Asulon. His father also told Zachary about epic battles between humans and other races.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): I like the diamond sword because it inflicts most damage. Also it's waht my father passed down to me.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Leading others into battle and the sword. Zachary was tought howto lead others into combat from his retired battle scared father.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

As Zachary explored the cloud temple he hears screaming."Help help someone!"Zachary peaked his head around the wall, he saw the halfling being mugged he drew his sword and quietly slit the warrior's neck.The other one was to slow to react the next thing he knew his head fell to the ground."Thank you sir would you like a porkchop?" commented the halfling."Yes thank you friend!"Zachary was then on his way.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

"Hello sir do you have any torches I may buy today im off exploring caves again?" said Zachary"Hey kid im selling these half price but Only if you dont tell no one that these items are stolen." Whispered the clerk."HELL NO" screamed Zachary, Zachary then runs to the nearest guard post and reports the illegal dealer.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

As night falls Zachary ran into a shed.Before he goes to sleep he checks the chest.He sees iron bars enough to make some nice armor.Inside his heart he knows what is right he puts the bars back in the chest goes to sleep wakes up in the morning and walks away with a warm feeling in his heart.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Night arose across the land zachary starving and lost comes across a a trading camp."Good sir please let me buy food!" Zachary begged."Yes me mate for fifty minas ill give you a side of apples"Barked the clerk""Fifty minas!" zachary commented. I can't do that please sir im gonna starve to death "Fine there be a loaf of bread for ye"said the clerk."Thanks be to you" Zachary praised, the next moning as Zachary left early in his shadow there was a thank you note with a diamond in a chest

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

As zachary draws his sword from his belt he meets up with friendly guards.Zachary knows bandits are tough fighters Zachary worrys he also knows bandits left his father slain. The plan is to split up, archers flank and hit them on top of trees while swords men hit from the front.As zachary and other brave guards attacked, bandits were being peppered by arrows.After half an hour later of fighting the battle ended with the bandit leader in the jail Zachary had his award given to him he gave half of it to the guards and the rest for spending money for traveling and eating.

The yogscast do not "roleplay" in shadow of israphel; that is more of an RPG. I would like you to tell me how the server you were on was roleplay, where was it etc.

You need to have a character last name.

Unless you have a specific reason for why you do not have a last name of your character, you need to write a last name to show that you have put some in-depth thought processes into developing and creating your character.

Your biography is poorly formatting. We do not like "walls of text". This means that you must break up your biography into multiple paragraphs, not doing so would be bad grammar.

You made this up. Please FOLLOW the lore in cases such as this, do not enforce a general "rule" of your own which says humans usually do this, or usually have that. The humans know what the humans do and have, that is not for you to decide.

Caucasian* Please check the grammar and spelling of your entire application as it is very erroneous. Words such as Caucasian are very modern words, I would like you to use words which fit the time period of the server (which is around the medieval ages), such as "fair skin" or a "light complexion". You do not have to speak in "Ye Old English", but we would like you to refrain from using blatantly modern words.

Which such mountain was this? Please do your research on towns and places like I said on your previous application. You are allowed to make up small things like this, but having an inn on the top of "the majestic mountain" is a little far-fetched.

Again this is very modern. The governmental system in place in the majority of locations in Asulon os a Monarchial one; this means a King or a Queen will rule a Kingdom. As such there is no government.

In general your application was written sub-standard. I would like you to re-read your application after posting it to make sure you fix all grammatical errors from your application. I think your story needs a little fixing as it seems to be created out of many small events which when jammed together do not make much sense. Try to find an area of Aegis, focus on it and only write events concerning the times and places around that area. Of course you can make your character move around due to different events such as the Sinking of Whispering Isles etc. But you need to make your story make sense.

The destruction of Asulon was 23 in game years ago (or around there), so your character would be around his fourties if you include all of this.

I would like you to be more general in terms of weapons. For example if you were good with a diamond sword it is inherent that you would also be good with a steel sword because they are both swords. But do remember this is a roleplay server, thus swords are not limited to minecraft. You can have throwing axes, battle axes, bearded axes, Two Hand Swords, Zweihänders, Broad Swords, Longswords, Great Swords, Daggers and maces... This list goes on! You ROLEPLAY these things out. Just because minecraft has a single type of sword does not limit your imagination to that. Be CREATIVE!

I do not mean to be mean, but I instructed you to re-embed your image which you failed to do. I understand that it is on your other application, but this does not stop it from "working" on this one as well. It really takes less than 5 minutes to do.

If you need help re-embedding give me a DEATILED description as to why it is not working in a private message.

I would also like you to "crop" the image, as right now it is filled with white and just doesn't look very good. Part of the "whiteness" also covers part of your skin. While it does not cover too much, I would like you to embed a higher quality image than that.

Short and simple: Powergaming.

I do understand that it might be hard to "give the other player a chance to react" in this situation, but it is quite simple. You GIVE THE BANDIT A CHANCE to react to your action. For example you write that you ATTEMPT to hit him in ac ertain location. You don't just "Slit his throat", you slice the blade along his neck. But it jsut so happens that he blocks it in time or... this is your situation but you must write realistically.

This brings me to my next section...

You powergamed and godmodded. One does not simply kill bandits. You need to write some REALISTIC rp. Chances are these bandits will kill YOU/knock YOU unconscious. Bandits are players and are very powerful characters. If you are by yourself in-game and you try to just kill bandits you will be banned for no-rp killing (read the rules) or at the very least completely destroyed by the bandits whom have had a lot of combat experience since they are BANDITS. We encourage RP pvp on this server, which means each party will demonstrate their actions through emotes. When responding to this situation you need to write DETAILED and DESCRIPTIVE responses. This means no "slices through the bandits neck" but write what your character aimed for, how much force he put in, what weapon he was using, how the bandits responded, what tools they are using, how they used them, how they blocked/parried/dodged, their skills and abilities. You have so much to write, this is what we expect of you.

This is the BEST roleplaying minecrat server and as such you need to be on par with the rest of the server in terms of RP skill. Those who display sub-standard RP skills should not be allowed onto the server lest they make everyone else's minecraft experience bad.

Instead of describing what your character would do, you need to assume that your character is in the situation and acting as they would in that situation. You need to describe a scene of RP. This means that you cannot write “If this happens, then my character would do that.” As this shows that you are not Roleplaying, you are answering the question from what you think that your character might do. You need to show us that you know who your character is, you know what the situation is and you know how your character is going to react.

This also means that you need to write in full RP. For example:

Josh talks to the shopkeeper, buys a few apples, pays the shop keeper and leaves. X BAD

Josh walks up to the man standing behind the rough oaken market stand. The sounds of a busy market can be heard all around him. An annoying fly buzzes around his head, so he absent-mindedly begins to inefficiently swat it away. “Ah, greetings shopkeeper! I was just browsing your wares.” The shopkeeper nods at Josh and then turns towards another customer to attempt to assist them the way all market shopkeepers must. Suddenly Josh felt a slight tugging sensation on his belt. He was about to brush it off as nothing, perhaps just someone bumping into him until he realised his belt was slightly lighter. He noticed a man beginning to run off in the opposite direction of himself. He glanced down to see that his coin purse was missing. He put two and two together and then shouted at the top of his lungs. “STOP THEIF!”… √ GOOD!
