Out-of-Character

Ghostintheeyes

18 Years old

Pacific Time/United States

I have a very good grip on the english language, though admittedly I’m not the best in the world at spelling.

I’m described as a nerdy-jock by friends. I love things like World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings, Minecraft, RP ETC. but also spend way too much time in the dunes near Yuma driving quads and such.

My schedule is constantly changing due to leaving high school, social life, getting a into college ETC, but I estimate around maybe 5-9 hours per week.

Role-play, at least as I see it, is when one creates and acts through a character to immerse themselves in a storyline.

I have roleplayed for a very long time, hopping from one site to the other and I have roleplayed actively on World of Warcraft since vanilla.

Speaking simply, it is using information acquired out of game to affect decisions made in game.

I have very limited knowledge on power-gaming, but I think it is when one is being focused on progressing toward a specific goal in a game, usually directed by an admin. or admins.

I assume that this server will be peaceful (generally speaking) with a few battles here and there, with an interesting storyline to it and interesting rp.

I understand and accept the rules.

I promise to abide by all rules of the server.

A friend directed me here after watching a video on youtube.

This is my first application.

In-character

Thurin Deathgate

Dwarf

No sub-race

Thurin was a true child of the smith. His father, and his father before him, had been blacksmiths. Thurin had been an older-brother to his younger sister Vilka. The two were as thick as thieves, causing mischief and havoc across the entirety of anything the crossed. Like the most of his family, thurin was naturally drawn to the smith. He thrives in the power that comes with blacksmithing, where he is the Divine One, the master of Makers, the creator of art. His father passed to Thurin much information before he died in a raid. A ragtag group of Orcish hunters had come to Thurin’s home during the night when he was but a lad and butchered his family. When Thurin, who had been on a mining trip, returned to find his family slaughtered like lambs, and his house razed to the ground, Thurin took up his hammer, his tool of making, and used it to destroy.

He tracked and found the bandit-orcs and single handedly killed them all (most of which were sleeping). When he returned, he was not the same. He had a blazing fire in his eyes and his heart from then on, and earned himself the name ‘Ireheart’ for his wild and crazed battle tactics. Without a home, he simply wandered. Borrowing the forges of other smiths, he made weapons and other craft for money to keep moving. To this very day, at age 28 (in human years, given that I don't know the dwarven life-span), he continues to wander. Thurin is always the first to raise a mug and laugh the night away with hearty celebration with whomever he sat with, and always the first to raise his blade at the first sign of trouble. To his friends, he is a loving and passionate man, and to his enemies he is the ruthless, mad Ireheart.

Thurin is very well-muscled, lightly tanned from years of wandering in the sun, covered in a thick coat of battle-scars. He is average size with green eyes and a few black tattoos along his head and arms.

No other

Open-response

Thurin would brandish his blade, the fire of Ireheart lighting in his eyes, but he would not attack right away if they were not already attacking, just as a warning would he draw his sword.

“I don’t think I have the money for any of your wares quite yet. If you’ll point me to the nearest smithy, I’ll see if I can’t make anything to catch your eye worth a bit of food, eh?”

He would leave it. They do not belong to him, even if the place is abandoned. Thurin is no thief.

“I implore you, sir. Have you anything to eat? I will gladly pay you back later, but I have been wandering in these blasted woods for many days and I am starving!”

At the first mention of bandits he draws his sword, cursing in the dwarven tongue. A thousand curses upon these rats! A reward is welcome, but he would have done it anyway.
