Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying to me is being another person in another world and to enjoy the fun of being someone else then yourself, kinda like acting, to be put in a character and a scene. and to stay in that chacacter no matter what the circumstance, and to really be free of who you are in the real world, and enjoy who you are in another. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have had some fun in other Roleplay servers, nothing for to long but I do enjoy it, also I have played MMO's if that counts which I don't really think they do since I don't really think of it as an roleplaying game even though they claim to be. What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): I've always though of myself as a notherner, but I'm not entirely sure. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): I was born in the nation of Renatus, on my father’s farm east of a small village near a river. My mother was a Dark Elf and she grew up among a band of traveling merchants. One day when she was eighteen, she met my father. My father was a Northerner who became a squire to the Emerald Knights, he spent most of his young life learning and waiting for the day he would become a knight. On the day of his twentieth birthday he was sent out to get some sugar, ale, and other things necessary for a feast. When he was to return they would have the ceremony and he was to become a knight, he’d even gotten the armor. But after he left, he met my mother. They fell in love that night, and instead of going back to the Emerald Knights he stayed with her. They ran off together and built the farm we live on today. Seven years later I was born on a warm, sunlit evening, the leaves were tinged with hints of autumn and preparing to sleep. I had always thought of myself more a Human than an Elf, my skin is tanned easily, eyes a sky blue, dirty blond hair, a small scar near the right of my mouth, I possess a striking resemblance to my father, so I often wear white and blue robes with a hood as my father does, since the Emerald Knights don’t appreciate desertion. When I was younger, my father taught me how to wield a blade, while my mother tried to teach me how to make potions, but I’m not really the scholarly type. Besides that, I helped on the farm, normally in the fields, so my arms are powerful. I only had a few friends growing up, and they all ran off to follow their dreams as scholars, knights, priests, among other various professions. When I was nineteen, I remained at the farm for a few more years while everyone else ran off to begin their lives, for my father became ill and I didn’t want to leave him when he could die to keep. While I waited and hoped, I found and adopted a stray dog I named Luke. We never really left the farm; we simply played inconsequential games when I was bored. For the few weeks he was ill, one of us would stay with him at all times while the other would tend to the farm, the times I watch over him, he told me stories of his childhood becoming a knight, and the ridiculous adventures the knights would send him on. It was a happy time for us, while at other times I would be harvesting, planting, or preparing the fields. Four weeks after my father became ill, he died. My mother could do nothing to stop his death. Not knowing what to do now I spent one last year with my mother, then I said goodbye to her, Luke, and my home. I went to travel all of Asulon and discover who I am. I am now twenty-three years old and still on my great adventure, and I am still not sure what lies ahead. What is your Character's ambitions?: To travel across all of Asulon and to one day have my own house back in my fathers home land of Oren. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): My favorite tool is a hoe, since I spent all my childhood on a farm useing one. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?: One is my great agility, I could dodge an arrow shot 10 feet away with my reflexes. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): Other Information about your Character: I am fairly quiet around people most people, and try not to attract to much attention to myself. Though if it is nessacary, I will do things I normally wouldn't. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?: If I knew I had enough time I would run back and get a nearby guard, if not I would try to sneak past them without being noticed, knowing if I tried to fight them I might as well dig my own grave. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?: well I never really was to buy things from random people, I prefer to buy things from people I've encountered in my journeys. So whatever he was selling I wouldn't have much interest. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:I would stay around the hut for a few days and use it as a place to sleep, if no one comes back after a few days I would take them for personal use, if anyone where to come back claiming it's their house, I would walk away and let them do as they wish Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Well, hopefully there arn't hostile, if they arn't then i'd ask for some food and repay it in doing some tasks for them. I'm never in a rush to do anything so I could spare some time to help them out. Then after some time I would leave and continue on my journy. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: knowing I have a team with me I would accept the offer and help, knowing a group of bandits couldn't take down all of us down. Twilight Druid 188 Share Posted May 4, 2012 Denied, just three minor things to sort. There are several spelling errors that need to be addressed, most of the mare in the first half of your application. Your character is quite good other than the 'I can dodge an arrow at 10 feet'. Also a little bit of personality to your character wouldn't hurt. Your Open Response Questions are lacking a Roleplay feel. Try writing it in the present and not like what you character would do. Because when you are ingame you aren't going to tell the people you are Roleplaying with what you would do but you will being acting it out in the present.
