This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): When I was a boy, I lived with my father in a small town in the mountains. He was a master blacksmith who I was apprenticed to for most of my life. My mother died giving birth to me, so I never really knew what she looked like, but my father tells me I have her eyes, which were hazel. My brown hair I got from my father. I was fairly tall at that age, and I still am and I also had a moderately muscular build from working the forge with my father. My personality wasn't exactly the best in the world on account of that I was shy, and stayed to myself. You can assume that not many girls had an interest in me back then, but I still lived a good life with my father. Unfortunately, I was only with him until I was six-teen. My village was raided by a group of savages...they killed any male above the age of twelve. and enslaved the woman and children. I know you might think, “now he is going to tell me how against all odds, he was able to save the day”. That's not what happened at all. To tell you the truth, I survived because I was lucky. I was out, getting lumber for my father, when I saw the smoke coming from the village. I ran back, hoping maybe it wasn't that bad, but when I got back, the savages saw me. I ran back to my home to get my father, but when I got there, he had been beaten to death. The shock was bigger than the terror, but I knew I had more to worry about. I went to my father's room to grab his prized armor that he had made in his younger days. I couldn't leave that memory behind. I Also grabbed his sword that has been passed down through the generations in my family. I also took as much food as I could and then I left. It wasn't an easy task, let me tell you. It involved all my my stealth and cunning to escape, which I had none of. So as soon as I stepped out the door, they saw me. I had barely any experience with a sword at that time, so I just ran as fast as I could, which wasn't very fast. I suppose it was a bad idea to try to escape with the armor, but I couldn’t leave it behind. I was running when one struck me in the back with an axe. Luckily for me, my father was a good blacksmith, so the armor held. One was about to finish me off, when all of the sudden, there was an arrow protruding from his throat. Before the rest could even react, they were full of arrows themselves. The men and woman that saved me were from the next town over. They too were attacked by the savages but they held them off. This group was going to try and protect other nearby towns from them as well. But...they were too late for my town. The rest of the savages fled after this attack, with the rest of my village. There was nothing left for me here. I traveled with this group of warriors south for months, learning from them to protect the weak. When we finally parted ways, I could hold my own. I knew how to survive, but that didn't necessarily mean that I was great. I traveled the land for a year, when I finally met a man, a master swordsmen who was willing to take me into his home and train me after I told him my story. I stayed with him and his family for years, and after a while, they became my family too. But one day, everything changed. Thieves raided the town and killed my mentor...my, friend. I loved him like he was my father, and they killed him. I was blinded by rage. I tracked them back to their camp, and I...killed all of them. I spared no one. I learned that they weren’t even bandits. They were just a starving group of people with nowhere to turn. I even killed the children. I couldn't bare to face the family that had kept me warm and fed for years, so I left, never looking back. I traveled for two years, I was twenty-six and drowning in my self hatred and shame, when I finally decided that I need to find my purpose. That is why I have come to this land, to find my role in the world, to find my greatness or my death, that is why I am here, telling you my story. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I was walking down the steps from the Cloud Temple, when I heard angry voices. I went to go have a look at what was happening, and I saw two men yelling threats and pushing a halfling. I immediately was disgusted by this and ran up to the men. I shoved one of them and yelled, “what the hell do you think you are doing? What reason could you have for doing this?”.They did not respond well. He shoved me back and said I should leave now if I knew what was good for me. Obviously I didn't because because I went to draw my sword, when I remembered that I left it back at my camp. They grimaced at me and started walking towards me. I grabbed the halfling and through him over my shoulder and started running. I ran into the woods, dodging back and forth between the trees trying to lose them. After a good five minutes of running, I looked back and saw that I had lost them. I put the halfling down and he thanked me for rescuing him, but then he asked a valid question,” umm...where are we?”. I looked around, and after a minute all I could say was'” good question....”. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? I said, “what kind of food do you sell?”. After spending ten minutes haggling over the price of a piece of bread, I was off. I was walking down the street with my bread, when a boy bumped into me. By the time I noticed he stole my coin purse he had already started running. I chased him into the ally and caught him. I took back my money and was about to start yelling at him, when I noticed how underfed and dirty he looked. I just looked at him, and all I said was, “it's okay”. I gave him my bread and left. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond? I completely ignored the iron bars and picked up the golder sword. It was a masterpiece of craftsmanship. I was going to walk off with at my belt when I thought, “maybe someone still lives here...”. I put the sword back knowing how it would feel if someone strolled into my home and took my things. I was no bandit, so I left that hut, exactly as it was when I found it. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? I immediately went to the nearest place selling food and I ate my weight in food. They were happy to help me, considering how bad I looked from days without eating. I stayed for a while and then left, this time carrying more food than I thought I would need, just so this would not happen again. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information? I volunteered to help the guards take out this nuisance. We were walking down the path when a horn blew. It was a very clever ambush. The bandits dropped from the trees and came out of the bushes shouting and swinging their swords. They killed three men before we even could react. I drew my sword and started cutting down bandits as I saw them. Only a third of the group was left after the ambush. Some bandits ran off and the rest we killed. We were bloodied but victorious. The town spent days mourning the brave men that died in that battle. Anything else you would like to say?: No, I think what I have said so far covers everything.
