My name is Cole Mertz and I am a 9th grader. I love to play organized american football in the falls and go to the shooting range with my Father.(yes, stereotype Texas with guns)

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Well since it is the summer now I can probably put in around 5 hours per day.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

The definition of role playing in my words is pretending to be something you are not and have fun doing it, most everyone is role playing without even noticing, seeing how you username is probably different from your name in real life, but in my case I made my username my real name heh.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I have played on a ton of minecraft role play servers, but haven't really found one that actually enforces it and encourages it, and has a playerbase, but yea, I have roleplayed on about 4 servers with varied themes such as Fallout.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Meta-gaming is the act of gaining information out of character and using in character, a example would be private messaging your friend for the co-ords to his house and using them to get there in charater.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is:

Power-emoting or power-gaming is the act of being in character and role playing a character that can never be beat and always wins. A example is fighting a bandit who obviously hits you, but then you say something along the lines of "colemertz- *Dodges strike, and snaps bandit's neck with his feet.*"

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I aspect this server to be a mature, role play server with a great community.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have play on a tekkit server "Terra Novos" for the past 7 months, I am not really leaving them, just looking for a server that enforces role play and is a bit more... structured.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Lance Mertz stands at a average 6,1 ft, with shaggy brown hair and beard, and white skin and brown, almost black eyes.

Lance was born in a small frontier fort in the northern edges of Oren, a god forsaken place that was constantly attacked by the monsters of the night. Lance learned at the age of 5 to wield a sword, taught from his father who was stationed at the fort as a guard. He spent his free time in his adolescent years practicing with the sword his father gave him in the woods outside town, endlessly slashing at trees and learning slowly. His brother would duel him with wooden sticks and they would always fall down, laughing in the end.

When he was 18, he was drafted into the fort guard, quickly breezing through basic training as he saw his fellow soon to be comrades struggle. Him and his brother, Ulric guarded the western part of the fort, going out on patrol every once in a while, life was quiet and good. For now...

One night while his patrol group, including his brother were patrolling the outer reaches of the fort, they were ambushed by skeletons. His brother was wounded badly and was bleeding out, with no choices left, he dragged him to under a tree and said his goodbyes. The remains of his group rushed back to the fort to find it under siege by Skeletons and necromancers, Lance fought wave after wave of skeletons, but the fort was falling, and in a last ditch move he rushed through a mob of skeletons and slashed the head necromancer, but was quickly slammed into a tree by a magical spell, sending him un-conscious and presumed dead.

When Lance woke up, he found himself covered in dead bodies, when he crawled his way out, he found his home in ruins, he wandered around the fort, yelling for his cohorts and comrades, but no one responded, he found his house, with his father dead, he took his bloodied sword off his dead hands, gathered what was left of fort's rations, and left.

Lance now wanders from town to town, as a sell sword finding business where it is needed, sometimes he settles down in a town, but he doesn't stay for more than a few months, carrying the remains of his family name as a burden to the past.

What are your Character's ambitions?:

Lance wants to see the world, not constrained by his home anymore, while he does want to make a good bit of money, he would rather gain valor and bravery as a guardsman or a sell sword.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

Lance's tool of choice is a sword. He has grown up learning how to use bladed weapons. While he is not the best swordsmen around, he prides himself with his skills with it, and always carries his father's sword where ever he goes.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

Lance excels in melee combat seeing how he has grown up fighting and was a fort guard at one point, he knows many techniques to fighting the creatures of the dark, as well as other men and woman.

Another skil Lance is quite proficient at cutting down trees and clearing land, he enjoys chopping trees so much that he almost leveled the whole forest outside he town as a child.

Lance has a tendency to wander off into the wilderness and get lost.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Lance would run up to the warriors and tell them to back down, he would then return the half-ling's possessions to him/her and challenge the warriors to a fistfight, which he might lose just too show he is the bigger man. He picks himself up and is greeted quickly by the half-ling, rewarding him with a bag of apples the marauders were trying to steal. Lance quickly thanks him and limps to the monks for healing.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Lance quickly says "16 pieces of flint please.", and watches the merchant walk into the back of the kiosk to fetch the goods. While Lance is waiting he hears a nearby Jester preforming an act, he throws a single mina into the hat on the ground and quickly gets back to the kiosk, pays the merchant and goes about on his way.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Lance stumbles upon the hut and wanders in, he knocks on the front door and gets no response, he checks the chest to find valuables, but he leaves them knowing if someone lives here, they would suffer for it, as a nice gesture, he leaves a apple in the chest with a note saying to hide your valuables better. Lance walks out of the hut knowing he did something good.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

As Lances stumbles into the camp, he is relieved that he has found friendlies locals, he responds with a simple greeting and asking for food and water. The camp is hesitant at first but sees that Lance is very Tired and hungry. They give him a sleeping mat and a bowl of mushroom stew and soon after Lance quickly falls asleep. He wakes up in the morning with a small burlap sack filled with produce, he thanks the Camp as he leaves.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Lance quickly accepts the offer knowing it will pay well and help the town for the greater good. The battle sets place in a forest, along side a stream, the team is 15 well armed men against 20 of the bandit scum. Lance quickly dispatches of 2 of the bandits but gets lashed in the arm, Quickly bandaging the wound he gets back into the fight. He slays one more bandit before they start to run, him and his team yell for victory as the cowards run. Lance returns to the leader for his payment and joins the town in a victory feast, with a warm feeling in his heart.

Other Comments:

Considering how we are in Asulon, necromancers do not exist on this land, or at least, none have the power to summon large hoards of skeletons. This would not be the case in Aegis, but it is certainly the case in Asulon. Please add some other antagonist to your biography, one that isn't an Orc or Undead. Bandits or Mercenaries would be a decent replacement.

Just because you play RPG's, doesn't mean you have RPed before.
