Pain...

Kernith tried to shift again, to remove the pressure he felt on his injuries. Nothing he did, nothing he could do eased the pain. Whenever he walked, or bent his knees, or moved at all it would strike once more. Although the sword had struck the back of his legs, he could feel it all over. His whole body ached and screamed for help, for any sort of relief. Kernith had none. He could do little but try and bear it. Well, there was one thing he could do...

It had taken him days just to gather the strength to be able to leave his bed. Longer still to be able to gather his fragmented thoughts into a coherent structure that he could write. Even as he created the notice, he knew it would not be entirely correct. But there was little he could do about that. The experience would have to be recorded with what little he could remember, for it was all he had.

It took him nearly a whole day just to create the notice. It pained him to realize this. Usually, it would be a matter of mere minutes to create something so simple, so short. When it was finally completed, he sent it to the library with a bird and strict instructions. The librarian was to create more of the notices, and then distribute them. Birds, couriers, notices, posters, the usual. And Kernith definitely wanted them distributed. Although he couldn't know for sure, he thought it was a good sign that his orders had been carried out when one of them blew past his door several days later. Surely, this would help bring those guilty to justice.

Bounty on Several Bandits!

Several days ago, bandits approached the Royal Scribe of the Holy Oren Empire Kernith Timothee and demanded several things from him. When unable to meet their unreasonable requests they physically assaulted him, resulting in severe damage to the Royal Scribe. Although saved from death by the swift work of many near the incident, it is believed that the Royal Scribe will suffer permanent damage as a result. The attack occurred on the road leading from the Cloud Temple Sanctuary to the Holy Oren Empire. Such a brazen attack on the Royal Scribe and Baron of the Holy Oren Empire cannot go unchallenged! A reward of one thousand minas is offered by the Royal Scribe for each bandit, dead or alive. Anyone with more information on these bandits should contact the Royal Scribe.

There were four bandits, all male and seemingly Human. All appeared to be young to middle-aged. One, called 'John', had blond hair and crude armour of leather. Another was dressed in peasant clothing and had an eyepatch. A third also had crude armour of chainmail and leather. Should these men be met, be cautious! Although seemingly not of high intelligence and poorly armed, they are still dangerous.

Signed,

Royal Scribe of the Holy Oren Empire Kernith Timothee
