Gladuos 869 Share Posted August 3, 2012 As Gladius lies motionless, he struggles to get up, but cannot. He screams in horror and frustration trying to move. As Gladius lies on the icy ground down below, his muscles do not flex and he begins to hear a faint whisper. Gladius stops struggling in vain as the whisper becomes louder. The whispers turn to unrelenting screams. Gladius does not understand these screams, but they scare him nonetheless. He is presented a familiar vision of a hulking beast chanting before him. Gladius tries to scream, but he cannot. It's not long before Gladius is presented with familiar visions and stories, unable to stop them. He tries to stop it, but to no avail. The visions stop and Gladius can just about start to move. Gladius' eyes open to reveal a murky grey covered in frost. Soon after he leans forward on his elbow gasping for air atop the icy hill. Gladius painstakingly begins to crawl up the hill towards the sanctuary's path. Gladius gathers up his broken staff and crawls down the path. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
