In-Character Details

Character Name:Adeilad Destinado (Means Destined Builder)

Character Race:Human

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:Adeilad is a young man of twenty years. He has very dark brown hair and equally dark brown eyes. He is of average stature standing at 5' 10" and is quite skinny.

Adeilad was born into a family of eight siblings of which he was the second oldest. His father, Saer, was a ship builder in the Duchy of Westfall, where the family resided. With the meager salary of a ship builder, having nine children was planned rather than accidental. Death would be a common acquaintance in their household and no one could predict how many children would make it past infancy. Of course with eight other siblings, competition was fierce. Adeilad learned to eat fast and fend for himself.

Tiring of a crowded household and seeing few prospects for himself in the Kingdom of Renatus, Adeilad left his home to explore the world at only 15. He wished to seek his destiny and determine what he was meant to do. Adeilad visited many of the great cities of men and explored their markets. The life of a merchant did not impress him. One day Adeilad came across an unlikely sight in the city of Solace. He came upon a Dwarf traveller much like himself. The dwarf, whose name was Aur, was selling meager wares in hope of getting food for the night. With the few coins he had, Adeilad bought a loaf of bread to split between them. Considering the Dwarven stereotypes involving the arrogance of men, Aur was taken aback by this gesture. The two agreed to be traveling partners and after a few more minor adeventures became unlikely friends.

Befriending Aur gave Adeilad the opportunity to visit the dwarf's home at Mount Ire. Although Adeilad was not heralded upon his arrival, he was still able to gain entry with his new connection. Adeilad was able to witness the industriousness of the dwarves in both warfare and mining. Despite this, the bloodshed seemed pointless and the mining redundant. As Adeilad walked through the great Dwarven halls and reflected, he had a realization. He had seen the greatest structures of man and witnessed the beautiful inner-workings of the dwarves. Architecture was Adeilad's calling.

Adeilad's young adventure ended at the age of twenty and a new chapter began. He has returned to the Holy Oren Empire and is determined to become a famous builder; even if it must start with a tiny tavern.

What are your characters ambitions?:Adeilad hopes to become a world-renowned architect and study the structures of Asulon. He is eagre to visit thegreat elven dwellings in Malinore.

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character?

Open-Response-QuestionsEach question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? As I walk into the market of Arethor, I see a poor dwarf attempting to make a living. It is obviously a new world for him and he is trying to make it just like I am. I enter his shop and buy a loaf of bread despite already having plenty for a meal. He wears an astonished look on his face to see a human willing to buy from him. I am happy to show him that not all humans are arrogant and as I leave the shop I wish him luck. He manages to stammer back something about "safe travels".

You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?Upon seeing the enourmous orc begin to bully the dwarf I begin to panic. Although dwarves are known for their excellence in fighting, the size of the orc is daunting. Furthermore, while life on the road has led to my basic knowledge of handling weapons, I am no match for an orc in battle. I know I cannot wake the monk; I would be disgraced for annoying one so honorable. Luckilly my wits kick in just in time. I stroll over to the two and remind the orc of the consequences of fighting on such a holy place. For a few seconds I fear I will be pummeled, but not even he will dare anger the monks.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:Being raised in a household of eight siblings meant strict rules for me. I remember the lessons of my mother to respect my elders. I also remember the distaste I had for the merchants whose sole value in life was gold. I live for greater things than a few Minas on the ground. With these thoughts in mind I help the old man up and return his coin. He graciously thanks me and attempts to give me a Minas for my kindness. I gratefully refuse. I hope the young will do the same for me when I become an old traveller.
