((Would have done something like this earlier but I though the server would be up...Nope))

*Aris wakes to the mid-afterneen sun with a headache. He had been out all night drinking with friends and had come home to promptly passout on his living room sofa. A plate and glass bottle still lay on the table from his earlier dinner meal. With a moan Aris rolls to the edge of the couch shading his eyes from the needles of the sun. His feet hit the ground with a heavy thud and he begins to push himself up. As Aris stoops over to grab his silverware he hears and odd Thump... Thump... Thump. As he turns to face the window he yells bloody murder. There stands a spider nearly as big as he is. Blue and black stripes running from the back of his abdomen to form a point at his head. As Aris realizes the spider is outside the glass he looks down to see the the cause of the sound. Huge mandables the size of a man's hand! Aris takes a few steps closer and the spider spews a green liguid from it's jaws covering the entireity of the window. Knowing that it can't get to Aris the spider scurries off along the path headed twords the snowy forest.

Aris runs out the front door pulling on his trousers as he goes. Pausing for a moment he runs back to grab his spade. Aris thinks to himself "Lost 'im fer sure no way 'e could be tha' slow". As he looks across the river he sees it, the spider stopped in place seemingly waiting for him. Without a second thought of it Aris rushes forward, shovel raised high in the air. Only after Aris stumbles through the shallow part of the tookwater does the spider resume his escape. Pushing branches out of his way and trying not to slip on the melting snow Aris chases the beast. A good ten minute run brings them to a small snowy clearing. A wall of rock to the spiders back. Aris savors the moments smiling as he knows he has caught his pray. A hiiissss comes from the ring of trees to the halfling's back. As he turns he sees dozens of spiders some with white stripes to match the snow others with green sitting in the trees, all with the same beady black eyes. The eyes watch as the halfling shudders in terror.

Aris runs screaming twords the first blue spider his shovel now discard in the snow. The wave of spiders rush forth even more coming from dark holes scattered around the clearing. Aris tries frantically to climb the stone wall but the spiders reach him before he's more than three meters off the ground. The spiders spit acid at his back stinging his skin. The spiders grab in haste at the halfling's feet and trousers tearing the later to bits. Kicking and yelling Aris grabs the top of the cliff. The spiders shoot thin strings of silk trying to pull the halfling back but it only hits rock, Aris is long gone running for his home. He makes a wide loop back to Branborough where his partners from the previous night are waiting in the Inn.

Aris explains to them all that has happened in the past hour trying to get every detail out as quickly as he can. "Spiders in the southern woods! Te seem te 'ave a nest underground and t'ere 'e dozens O' 'em!" Aris plomps down to exhausted to say more*

Elki sits in her bed, thinking about her past. She thinks she hears something, but shrugs it off, thinking it's the wind.

Bili returns to the Vale, a slight skip in his step. As he walks along the path from the Salty Salmon, without his crutch, he sniffs the fresh air of the green country, and sighs as he does it. He stands under the cool shade of the trees, and sits down for a moment, just looking around the area in peace. A few minutes later, he enters the town, only to be greeted by the empty town. He shrugs, having encountered this a lot, and steps over to the Drunken Sheep.

It is then that he notices where all of the Halflings are, shouting and exclaiming inside the Inn. Bili opens its wide doors, and stands in the corner. He waits there, until someone notices him.

Ambros looks up from his sleeping place with a pipe held firmly between his teeth. Taking off his hat, he rubs his retreating hairline.

Lyra is huddled in the corner of the sofa, clutching an almost full teacup. She notices the halfling standing in the doorway, trying to make out who it is through the small crowd,

"Bili? Is t'at you?"
