Strom's Recovery

[Hobolympic 1093]

The night was cold, colder than most. The stars glimmered high up in the eternal sky, with the moon shyly peeking down from it. A couple of blonde elves are carrying a seemingly wounded dwarf on a bloodied plank, arriving at the dwarven hold. Moaning can be heard as the elves head through the iron door, with several dwarves looking at them expressionlessly. They carefully carry him towards the forge, where a lot of dwarves are discussing the future plans for the walls bordering the hold. The elves carefully lowers the plank down.

One of the elves clears his throat, trying to get the dwarves' attention. A loud, rumbling "Nae nuw!" is heard from a grey-bearded dwarf, but as he peeks over his shoulder, he turns around frowning.

"Greetings, dwarves. We found this wounded bortu near the docks of Eyveror, and thought perhaps it was best to bring him to you" the elf says and looks down at the wounded dwarf. A loud grumble is heard as Strom wriggles around on the plank, followed by more moaning. The speaking elf looks up to the group of dwarves staring at Strom, before he continues.

"He is badly wounded, with approximately two broken ribs, a pierce wound in his shoulder-" the elf stops up, tilting his head slightly. "And an unknown, quite fatal-looking burn on his left arm."

The dwarves look at each other, before one utters: "Who 'e be, eh?"

Another dwarf scratches his head, looking at the bloodied dwarf while shaking his head. "It beh Strom. T'at silleh dolt."

The gray haired dwarf snaps his fingers, and about five dwarves emerge to help carrying the wounded dwarf. Strom is carried to his room and lowered down onto his bed, while groaning and clenching his teeth. The elves are waved off as several curious dwarves stand by his bed, while Strom is carefully inspected by the medics. What, or who could have done this?
