Sorry about the colours and messiness this editor is very confusing and difficult to use. Colours only show up sometimes when I want them too, and all the letters are turning blue and purple! I have no idea what is going on, nor how to fix it, but I hope I will still get accepted.

How old are you?: 11 years old, but turning 12 on January 23.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: my time zone is Pacific Standard Time, I live in the USA.

Do you have a good grip on English grammar and the English language?: Yes, I have lived in the U.S. for all my life.

Have you had any previous experience in roleplaying?: Definitely, although I have never played on a Role Playing server before, I have played dungeons and dragons for over a year.

Have you read and understood and agree to the rules?: I agree to them, they seem very fair.

How did you hear about the Lord of the Craft?: I searched "Top 10 minecraft servers" and found this website: http://www.gamefront.com/top-10-best-minecraft-servers/. I thought this server looked nice, so I started poking around on the wiki and stuff.

In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is: Roleplaying is the act of creating a character and a game world, and acting that character out, preforming his actions, moving him, and sometimes even talking for him/her.

In your own words, define what meta-gaming is: Meta-gaming is using out of character knowledge to influence your characters behaviour. For example, I was playing Dungeons and Dragons a while back, and my Dungeon Master told me there was treasure on the floor. I said I would get the treasure and he double checked, "You really want to go for the treasure?" If i were meta-gaming, I would have realized that there was a trap from his behaviour, but my Character did not know that, do I went ahead and activated the trap.

 

 

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: For example, power-emoting is like when you are playing a chat-based video game, where everyone says in chat what they will do and not do. If one person walks up to another person and says: "Stewart kills bob" that would be power-emoting. Not power-emoting would be saying something like this: "Stewart punches bob".

 

 

In-Character Details

 

 

 

Character Name: Doctor Equinox.

 

 

Character Race: Human Southerner.

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Equinox became very, very, sick at at the age of 14, but the local healer could not help him. His parents left their village to try to find somebody who could cure their child. They travelled far and wide, and at last found a man to help them. His name was Jacob, but instead of being called Healer Jacob, he was called Doctor Jacob, a term which he said was from the village in which he was born. He cured Equinox, but it took a very long time. When he was recovered, he decided to become an apprentice to Jacob. He learned medicine, and when he was graduated, he travelled around the world to find out new forms of medicine. He travelled far and wide, and saw many things worth seeing. He also learned much medicine, and how to cure even the most sick of people. He became a great Doctor, and a great man.

He is tall and skinny, and has black hair and tanned skin. He is down to earth and polite, and does not tolerate being unkempt or slacking off. But when he is also a kind and caring man, always trying to help those in need, and find greater forms of medicine.

What are your characters ambitions?: He wants to be able to cure anything, and make it so that nobody is unhappy or sick.

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: He made a Doctors oath called the Oath of Equinox, which he makes all his students swear to. (The oath is actually the Oath Of Hippocrates) and I will carry it in a book if that is ok. If not, please tell me :)

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

 

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? Equinox checks the shopkeepers wares. If he finds items that would be useful to him, he buys them, but tips generously, and also gives him a potion of healing. If not, he just leaves a tip and a potion for any sick he may have.

 

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? Equinox tries to calm things down as best he can, even going so far as to bribe both parties if necessary. If he cannot calm them down, he gets waits until one emerges victorious and then carry's the unconscious one away to heal him. If it seems that one is going to kill the other, he yells for help.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: Equinox immediately helps the old man, paying no regard to the money. He helps the old man up, checks for injuries, and gives the old man his own staff. Then he gathers the coins together and gives them back to the old man.
