A terrible disease that swept through the countryside and all who were unfortunate enough to succumb to it were killed within days of infection. Heartbroken after his wife’s death, Thomas’ father, John, fell into a deep depression, forcing Thomas to take care of his father and the small farm that they owned. Although Thomas worked hard to earn enough food for him and his father, it was not enough. 15 years later after his wife’s death, John passed away from a broken heart. However, Thomas’ work did not go in vain. Once every week while Thomas was working his small field, and while his father lay in bed, a wealthy merchant would pass by and admire Thomas’ handiwork. One day the merchant asked Thomas about the plot of land. “This is a nice farm you have, young lad. Is it yours?” said the merchant, curiously stroking his beard. “No sir, it is not, this is my father’s land. I care for it because he cannot.” replied Thomas wiping sweat from his brow. “Ah, I see. Well if your father ever considers selling his land, keep me in mind.” “Ay sir, but I highly doubt he will want to.” As Thomas finished burying his father, he thought of his conversation with the merchant, and something came to his head. The next week the merchant came by, Thomas accepted his offer of selling the farm. With a small fortune, by Thomas’ standards, he went to school to obtain his dream of becoming a writer and scholar. Now a middle aged man, Thomas has finally saved enough minas to travel the world, recording tales of heroism, acts of bravery and the stories that are passed on from generation to generation. Ambitions for the Future: To become a great Scholar and writer. Personality: Proper, adventurous and curious about life. Skills: Writing, Fishing, and Gardening Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Thomas is about 6 foot, with brown hair, blue eyes and has a short beard. His hair is untidy and his clothes are worn from travel. Any other details you wish to share about your character: Thomas loves to eat apples while fishing, and sitting under a large oak tree. It relaxes him. Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Bandit 2: turns to face Thomas "Hmmm. It looks like you are right. Well, we will just have to mug you then won't we?" Thomas: "Well then, at least you won't be bothering that old man anymore. Merchant: "I'm afraid not, what about 100 minas?" Thomas: "That is a little steep for me. How about 70? Times are tough and I'm sure there are many other shop owners that would be willing to part with their merchandise more easily."
