The village was small, only held about 100 dwarves and was often the target of raids from bandits. His mother worked as a barkeeper at the local tavern and his father worked as the clan’s blacksmith; forging armor, weapons, and tools for the miners and militiamen. Yulri’s education was limited to war training for fending off the bandits. He started in his second season and during his third year in war school, Yulri fended off a bandit raid with the help of his friend Nandor Yelmi Ryd. And when he was done with the village’s war training, he had great confidence to become a militiaman, but under his father’s influence, he was forced to work in the mines at the season of 3. His friend Nandor joined the local militia and later became the head of the village militia. He lead an exhibition to take care of the bandit raids and died in combat. Yulri would then mine for a good deal of his lifetime. He would mine by day, taking every shift he could work, and forge by night, becoming his father’s apprentice in his blacksmith job. And once work became too much, he would turn to the local tavern where he would drink his cuts and bruises away with a fine Blaze’s Brandy. But the more he worked, the more he found himself at the tavern. Lucky for him, that same tavern would be the place where he met his wife, Eileen Ang’dyny Itir. She was the most beautiful and respected dwarf in the village, all men respected her, even those who don’t respect respected her! She had gorgeous amber eyes with red braided hair that was decorated with the most ravishing gems. It was love at first sight, for him at least. It took awhile to convince her to marry him. He brought her Red Roses and Blonde Blossoms everyday after his mining shifts, he even learned to play the lute for her, singing the most romantic songs to her at the tavern. And when he was in his fifth season, she finally said yes. But in their sixth season together, a bandit raid took Eileen’s life. Yulri never bounced back from her loss and he now spends most of his nights at the local tavern, drinking his sorrows away. He quit his job as a miner and took the head blacksmith job when his dad died of Ki’katta. He now lives a lonely life of smithing for the clan and late and frequent tavern visits. Ambitions for the Future: To leave the village and move to Karik and forge armor and weapons for its army. Personality: Before his wife’s death, Yulri was a kind and cheerful dwarf, whistling tunes as he worked and taking the extra working hours for his father. But when his wife was killed by bandits, he became a bitter, rude, and lonely dwarf who angers a bit too easy and has no friends. He back mouths the bartender, stole gems from the mines that reminded him of his late wife’s eyes, and curses at the villagers. Overall, though, he is a tough dwarf who takes no orders from anyone. Skills: His skills started out as fighting when defending the village from raids and attacks but it soon would become mining when his father forced him to work in the village mine. Mining would be his primary skill throughout his life with the additional blacksmith apprenticeship. But when his father died, his smithing skills improved when he quit his miner job and became the village blacksmith. Smithing is the only thing he does now-a-days. Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. Whilst mining deep in the undergrounds of Kalos you see a large deposit of diamond ore at the other side of the ravine you are on. There is a very thin rock bridge that looks precariously unstable, but it is the only way to access the deposit. What do you do? Answer: Despite the unstable rock bridge, I'd carefully shimmy across the rock bridge and mine the large diamond deposit. I’d then shimmy back across and leave the mines immediately. Upon arriving at my home; I would store the gems away or make use of them. I would probably forge a nice diamond sword or a strong, mighty diamond helm, I might even decorate my braided beard with them. 2. You are sitting in the local tavern with a large pint of ale in your hand - sitting nearby you is a rather young dwarf whom is clearly going through a bad time. He is crying to himself, and clutching a small wooden hammer toy. In the other corner of the room two shady dwarves are sitting whispering to each other and pointing occasionally at the dwarf. They stand up, one with a small dagger in his hand and begin to approach the young dwarf. What do you do? Answer: It depends, if the shady dwarves were planning to give the dagger to the young dwarf, then I'd mind my own business. If the were planning to kill the young dwarf, I'd stand up, fists raised, and curse at them. Due to the uncertainty of the matter, I'd fight them anyway. I’d also yell out curses like “Ye craftless two-faced rust bucket, get o’er here an’ fight like a real dwarf!” and “Ye ladies ar’ so deid.” If I succeed in the intimidation of the two shady dwarfs and they leave, I’d then walk over to the young dwarf and maybe (If I’m in a really good mood, and I mean extremely good mood. Like holy crap, how is Yulri in a good? mood) pat him on the back and tell him “Oy! Everything is gaun tae be a’right!” I’d then give him minas and then pay the barkeeper for my drink and leave before I got feelings for the young dwarf. 3. Whilst wandering through the Dwarven Caverns you hear a voice call out to you; “Oi, ye’! C’mere n’ get ye’rself an ale!”. You spin on your heel and see a heavily bearded bar-owner looking at you - a huge grin on his face, and a mug of ale in his hand. How do you react? Answer: I’d first yell “Oy! Get oot! Ye get nae right bein’ here! Ye’ll get yer’self killed!” and after a long silence I would thenw say: “Noo gie me that ale an’ get yer’self oot ‘o here. An dae it afore ah make ya!” He would then proceed with the giving of the ale, I’d then gulp it down and continue my wandering of the Dwarven Caverns like nothing happened. In fact, i’d probably forget the whole thing at my dayly visit to the tavern with a large amount of Blaze’s Brandy
