Definitions

In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is:  Roleplaying id taking the role of someone else, a made up character or an existing one such as a king or a scientist, and pretending to be that person in a game. It can be online or in real life, such as dungeons and dragons. Most of the time, the role play is set in renaissance times or in the future, or in a fantasy-science fiction place/time.

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is:  Meta-gaming is using external sources of information such as wikipedia pages or character cards to find out information your character shouldn't or wouldn't RPly know, and then using it in RP. I believe Meta-gaming can be bannable.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: Power emoting is giving your character unrealistic strength or advantages.  An example would be this: Player X shoots Player Y in the heart and kills him. This is power gaming because Player X is attacking player Y without his consent.  For it to not be power gaming, it would be said like this: playr X Attempts to shoot Player Y in the heart to kill him.

In-Character Details

Character Name: Ananda Fenton

Character Race:human

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Ananda was born by accident to a young lady named Bethina. She was abandoned on the doorstep of a random house in Salvus 2 days after her birth.

Odetta opened the door to her home after hearing 3 loud and impatient sounding knocks on her door. her husband was in the kitchen busily cooking dinner at the time, and the entire house smelled disgustingly of raw turkey.

She swung open the door, and not seeing anyone, huffed and was about to close it when she heard the laugh of a baby. She peered down and saw the little baby Ananda in a basket, along with a locket and a tag that said:

" My name is Ananda. Please take care of me, because my mother can't."

Odetta was overjoyed, her prayers of a child had been answered. a few tears slipped out of her eyes. She lifted the baby out of the basket, along with the locket.

2 weeks before her 11th birthday, Her house was broken into by a criminal.

Odetta, not knowing what to do, told Ananda to hide and be as quiet as a mouse. Ananda dove into the broom closet and locked the door behind her.

From in the closet, Ananda listened carefully to make sure that her family was alright. she heard rushed footsteps, whispering, and the jingling of chains and bracelets. Ananda was in the closet for 20 minutes when she suddenly heard a strange voice yelling:

"Tell me where she is or i'll gut you like a fish!"

It was a woman.

Her mother began to scream, and the woman yelled obscene words at her. Ananda shivered, scared, afraid that her mother and her were going to die. She thought for sure her father could fight off a woman.

That was, of course until she heard the sound of a dagger slicing through flesh and gristle. at first, she thought that her mother had been killed, but she heard her mother yell " You Murderer! My husband! honey, are you Okay?"

Ananda was paralyzed in fright.

Minutes later, she heard her mother get stabbed in the stomach. The murderer started searching the house for what she knew was her, but with darkness aiding her, the murderer could not find the door to the closet, and Ananda was safe.

The murderer eventually gave up on her search and left. Sn hour later, Ananda left the closet, gathered some clothes, food, and almost left until she found the murderer had dropped what looked like her mother's locket.

"To remember them by," she said to herself, and put it on.

Ananda ran away that night and never returned.

Ananda is 20 years old and is tall and slender, with a muscular yet dainty build. her skin is very slightly tanned, and her hair is long, flowy black/brown. Her eyes are dark purple, unusual for a human, and always seem to be twinkling, like stars are trapped in them. She is trained in martial arts, and wears a maroon cloak with a hood over a simple brown dress with a rope belt. She has a leather sheathe on her back in which she keeps a curved steel sword.

What are your characters ambitions?: Ananda wishes to find the person who murdered her parents. She also wishes to be an excellent author who writes children's stories and novels about mystery.

Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here:

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Ananda is a true and loyal friend, and a great help and aid; she is very knowledgeable, having been tutored by a librarian who was friends with her mother when she was young. She had a very strong bond with her mother, who taught her how to read, write, draw, and sing. She is an absolutely terrible cook and once managed to burn a glass of water.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?  The shop intrigues me, and i enter it, scanning its wares. All the items seem useless to me, being mostly pots and rope. I ask if he sells any food.

" I have some cheese and bread for sale in the back," he tells me.

I myself am not very fond of cheese. wishing not to offend him, i walk to the back of the stood and look over his options.

The only types of bread he seems to have is dwarven; hard crusted, soft insided bread stuffed with flavorful cheeses or meats.

The cheese he has, however, has many different types, some hard and aged, others soft and spreadable. The smell of cheese overwhelms me and makes me feel sick.

I pick out a loaf of bread filled with pork and walk up to the counter, asking how many minas he wishes for it. he responds with a reasonable price and I accept. On my way out, I suggest to him that he might want to get some cured meats for his store. he agrees and chuckles a bit. I leave grinning.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I don't wish to pick a fight with an orc, but the fight seems uneven and unfair. I gasp in horror as the orc bashes the dwarf over the head with his fist. The dwarf falls over, knocked out cold, but not dead, and I get the feeling he intends to finish the job.

I call over to him, and he looks up with a mix of surprise and rage on his face, and i can tell he is not happy to see me.

He storms over, and i reach for my blade.

Her grabs my arm with a grasp to firm for me to wriggle free. I kick him in the stomach, but all that does is make him angrier.

I want to scream for help but the only help is bleeding out of his forehead.

I can think of only one thing.

I bite his arm, and he yelps, letting me free in an instant. I begin to flee, but remember the dwarf.

I throw him over my shoulder and hide, which is something i'm very good at, until the orc leaves.

After he is gone, I tend to his wounds, not waking him, and carry him into a town, where i know he will be safe.

I hope.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:  I know that stealing is wrong, and at first, opt to do nothing, but as i watch him struggle to stand back up, i help him, holding his hand.

Afterwards, I begin to wonder what to do about his minas.

I snap a branch off a nearby tree to give to him in replacement of his broken cane. after doing so, I ask him what I was going to ask.

As he responds, i feel so sorry for him, and hand him a spare bag I have, as well as a piece of bread, and we begin to collect his coins up in a bag.

After we have finished, he thanks me, saying that I am kind, and respond politely.

" It was no problem, sir. You are very welcome."

I smile as he hobbles on his way.

I am not completely sure what this is, but I am going to deny it. Example applications should be found in the accepted area to show a rather well-done application as long as they don't plagiarize.
