He meandered through the streets, rain once again dowsing his body. He was use to it, the rain. Use to the feel it put into his bones. Though it didn't make it any better. Rain dripped from the rooftops above, leaving a gentle tap tap tap upon his Tophat. He dipped his head, tipping his hat down and tucking his pale hands into his pockets. A shiver rolled down his spine, a rumble rolling through his stomach. He was starving, but he had nothing on him. He lifted his head and peered in front of him. Last nights hit was unsuccessful, but he had another shot right now.

House Winter Manor... That sounded fancy to the poor Urchin Sabel. And like most nobles in the area, they were arrogant. All the gates were wide opened. He strolled into the courtyard like he owned the place. Truth was, he usually avoided places like this. Rob a few things from the middle class and the most you would get is jail time. Steal from a noble and you risk losing your hands.

But he was hungry. He was poor. And he didn't care right now.

He glances across to his right. A sign. He squinted and moved closer. Under... He shrugged lightly, it didn't matter to him. Whatever it meant was just useless gibberish. He was the king of the castle right now. He stepped inside and looked around his temporary home. Finally, a working fireplace to warm his wet bones.

That was his first priority, and he quickly shuffled across the wooden boards to get to it, water making a steady drip upon the boards beneath him. The heat came as a warm relief, he stuck out his hands and warmed them. He felt better than ever, a burst of energy sweeping over his body with the new found warmth. He stepped back and looked towards a doorway.

He was not very literate, but he knew at the very least two words. Ale and Wine. He sniffed the air, these nobles never knew what good wine was. He may have been a peasant, a Urchin, but he was a king when it came to taste. A smile crept itself across his pale lips, and he stepped into the doorway.

A staircase down. He shrugged lightly and made his way silently down the stairs.

It opened up into a large basement, support by luxurious pillars. He was going to gorge himself with the lovely wine of nobles tonight. He crept inside and looked around. I spy with my little eye...

Chests. Chests galore. Lovely beautiful serene GORGEOUS chests. At last his lucky break finally came! He scrambled over the make shift well to his side and lept off the small ledge. His boot met the chest with the vigor of a warrior, smashing it open. His lips formed into a smile, a pearly grin gazing down at...

Melons... Peering down at... Melons.... "****" his voice echoed out, a growl following. Sure, he was hungry, but he wanted to score some expensive wine. He knew he could peddle it off with ease and make some quick cash. Who in their right mind buys melons from a Urchin, let alone Sabel the Urchin. He growled. This world truly ******* hated him. His mind was rushing thinking about a million things, though it all escaped his mind when the deafening rumble of his stomach came back. Well... He was hungry... And Melons were quite good... He reached inside and pulled a few pieces out, munching down on them.

Well. He didn't find riches. He didn't fine wine. But damn, these melons were some of the tastiest he had ever had. He slides his tophat off his head and grins, looking inside. A shot worth of his favorite ale in a hidden pouch. The perfect occasion. He downed the shot and shrugged lightly. What can you do but move on? He slid out a bag from his back pocket and took as many melons as he could hold, tossing the sack over his shoulder and strolling out of the mansion.
