Maps?

While I prefer to create a background through role play and the like, I understand to have something more concrete worked out before being approved.

 

That being said, I am going over the wiki as quickly as SQL server 2008 will allow me to.

 

That also being said, I have only found one map on the wiki, and it is pretty hard for me to visualize mentally what is where as far as countries, races, bodies of water, climate, terrain and the like without some sort of visual representation.

 

Am I missing a map somewhere?

You can always explore the server as a wandering soul if you want to get a feel for where things are. Simply log into the server. If you haven't been accepted, you are a wandering soul that can fly around and observe others RP.

I attempted to do that at lunch, but sadly it wasn't even close to the same thing.

 

You are unable to see faction or racial boundaries by doing that and I really would rather avoid writing in my background that I grew up in X mountains for the last 100 years in a perfectly decent dwarven town, when in all actuality its orc, human, or elven lands and thats always been the case.

 

On the flip side of that, its really odd to say my character was raised in the jungle on the outskirts of Al'Khazar, only to find out that it is situated in the exact center of a desert. ( I realize this is not hte case and al'Khazar does have forested land near it, albeit to what scale I do not know as the Wiki entry is lacking in that detail)

Thats all I could come up with my quick search, It may be a bit clumped but remember this most likely wouldn't be know by your char, its only a refrence so you might have a better understanding of the world oocly to plot you character, I hope this helps! ^3^
