Although Jayce was willing to help his father with the farm, Fenair was quite reluctant, mostly staying inside playing with the herbs and plants he found while adventuring around outside, infact most of his knowledge of herbalism is from personal experience. Although his father, Borasker didn’t really appreciate him messing around with the potential poisons, he let him, for he knew that Fenair enjoyed it so much, and hopefully he could make a living from it one day. In their teenage years, the brothers and their father left their home and bought a farm on the outskirts of Abresi. Jayce and Borasker would tend to the farm, as Fenair would stay home to hone his skills in alchemy. He also cooked meals for his siblings, and cleaned the house to make sure he wasn’t a complete waste of space. After the Dwarven kingdom of Urguan broke their alliance with the Holy Oren Empire Jayce’s father was required to help provide the Holy Oren Empire’s military with food and provisions. This drained all of his father’s resources and seeing as the Holy Oren Empire lost the war, these resources were never repaid. Fenair’s brother Jayce set out to earn back some money for his father by any legal means necessary, but Fenair stayed home with his father keeping the farm in check until his brother returned. A year had past, and Fenair was growing inpatient, so he decided to leave home to reunite with his brother jayce and assist in earning his father the fortune. Ambitions for the Future: to reunite with his brother Jayce, and return his father’s fortune. Personality: immature, but can be serious if needed. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer: I approach A the nearby guard subtly and inform him of the suspicious actions, I then stay back to watch the confrontation, being ready to be of the guards assistance if it is required. 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: I start sneaking hastily towards the bandits, but notice a familiar plant in the grass, from my knowledge of nature, I know that this plant can temporarily blind people and cause serious irritation to the eyes, I grind the plant up in my hands, and sneak up to the bandits. I throw the ground up plant into the first bandit’s eyes, then quickly disarming the second bandit with a solid kick to his hand, then finishing him off with a swift strike of my longsword. I then insure the man is okay, and continue on with my travels. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: I would like to buy some alchemy ingredients. I see that the shop owner has limited experience of these goods, due to how he names them incorrectly. I use this to my advantage, setting prices only a little bit under the standard as to not cause suspicion, I then leave a happy man, with a swag of rare plants and herbs. IrishPerson 693 Share Posted August 11, 2013 (edited) ~Under Review~ Sadly I have had to deny your application, here are some things you could improve on: Your definitions are incorrect and/or need to be expanded on with added examples. All three of your ORQs are too short and need to be expanded on greatly with dialogue. Along with the above two, there are quite a few grammar errors along with spelling ones too. I suggest fixing this in your next application Also if you have not already I suggest you read the alchemy lore on the server. Link: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/62560-finished-alchemy-lore/ Please wait at least a full twenty four hours as of this post's edit (seen below) before posting your next attempt. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message. Good luck with your next application. Edited August 11, 2013 by MrGreene
