  1. The lady of the house rejoiced upon reading the official letter. Leaning on the railing of her balcony, she looked to the children playing in the courtyard. "Our work has paid off. May our family prosper for generations to come" Ysabel met the eyes of Felipe and raised her glass to him.
  2. This. The amount of people I see taking rp so seriously, grovelling for power like their lives actually depend on it. It's sad. I wasn't around in the early days, but boy do I wish I found the server sooner so i can at least appreciate how good LOTC can be.

  9. The Rebirth of New Valenza Since S.A. 163 Issued to the people of Valenza, As the former duke, the supposed ‘protector’ of Valenza, spoke to the consul, the words that spilled out his lips were of extremist superiority. A discussion between the consul was overruled immediately, many thoughts that plagued the consul had been overruled before. As if the work of the Consul was a poison that was creeping throughout the land, threatening him, somehow, threatening his power. I, Ser Arthur Winters, General of Valenza, Lord Regent, one who has paid in blood and sweat for Valenza since the very beginning, gave a look of great disturbance. “Alessandria, is the power you hold over the Republic all you care for? Do you not appreciate our loyalty and friendship?” I questioned. A long silence followed. “Your loyalty, your work, Lord Winters, is essential. But only I know what is right for this country. Only I can grant power to others, I don’t have to, but I do. Valenza will fall without me.” Another silence, I stood stunned upon his insincere, delusional response. His insulting lack of faith in not just I, but those in our elected positions was evident now. “What I have done in my regency is what the Duke should be doing, do you expect me to continue doing all the work, while you continue as Head of State?” I asked. “Yes, I do, I want you to continue all your work as my Chancellor” Our former Duke wished power over the people, without the burden of work. That his decisions were final, no matter if the people voted otherwise. He cried democracy until it wasn’t in his vision. He cried democracy while only appointing an advisor, and clerk positions. He cried democracy until an appointed Lord Regent stood up for the people. Our former Duke was angry. Scared when someone spoke against him. “No more” The consul cried. After refusing to hear our prayers of respect, the consul had had enough. “Respect us, or you shall unburden the land of your presence” The former Duke accepted a peaceful banishment. As an old light fades, a new dawns upon us. Our colours now draped in unity blue and silver, not the greed of gold. I am issuing a call for all citizens of Valenza to join us for court, the date will be posted in the next coming weeks. There we will determine and elect our new head of state family, along with various other decisions that will create the future of this settlement. Also invited are neighbouring halflings and any others that wish to witness. Issued and signed, Ser Arthur Winters, Lord Regent of the Republic, Cavaliere of Valenza, Lord of House Winters etc. Ophelia Barden, Elected Lady Mayor of Valenza.

  14. I've helped a few new players out this map and each time is confusing for them to wrap their head around the system, its cool in concept but it is so much more complicated then it has to be. The carts on Almaris were very simple and effective.
  15. First Bonfire Gathering of Caritas S.A. 137 Today, on the evening of the 4th of Sun’s Smile 137 SA, the people of Caritas gathered around a bonfire on the beach to celebrate the union of its peoples, inviting those from the quest guild as well. A group of great diversity shared lots of laughs, drinks, sharing their life stories and experiences on a peaceful night by the warm shores of Dunfarthing. Human, elf, dwarf, wee folk, and even Golem were united on this peaceful night. It was my pleasure to see, and will be my pleasure to host again in the future. Arthur Winters, Marshall of Caritas

  17. Here ye! here ye! Dear people of Dúnfarthing, Dúnwen, Caritas, I spread this message in hopes of warning all who live in the area. Bandits that have harassed us Caritans from Failor have been spotted wandering around the Riddermark of Caritas and the surrounding area. It is not known if they are armed, but please be careful when traveling around the area. If you feel threatened, please don't hesitate to ask for help from the Riddermark. Signed, Arthur Winters Marshall of Caritas.
  18. Directions to the Riddermark of Caritas Township of Angren S.A. 132 As of now, there are no direct signs that lead to our city, and as such, there is a near impossible chance for visitors to come across it. This post will provide directions on how to get to Caritas. First, at the cloud temple, use the pillar that is closest to Darfarthing. Second, take the path leading to Darfarthing. Thirdly, head down the path on the left at the intersection without signs. Keep going and you will see some windmills and some wheat fields, keep going down the path. Head towards the stone walls that reside to the west of Dunwen. Welcome to Angren! You have arrived.
