  1. As someone who has been reading and writing the Religion lore from multiple posts now- I am excited and hopeful for this to be approved. It gives a physical representation of lore that was approved previously as well as actual events that have happened on the server previously. Glad to see it being actually offered to LoTC officially instead of in OOC limbo. This tree is a huge deal for us within the Princedom of Fenn- and to have it officially recognized as lore would be amazing.
  2. Datura is internally screaming at the bar fight- but also rather happy watching. “Take it to the pit you idiots, I do not want to clean more blood up here.”
  3. Why not cannons? I do not like the ideas of guns on LoTC because there are a lot more creative ways to make ranged attacks then just pushing us forward technological eras to make it more ‘interesting’.
  4. Have you ever had a negative experience with the monks? Yupper-do I sure did. I watched a Monk bring a Snow Elf to HELENA before Fenn even though players were in Fenn. Though I heard that that got taken care of it was still alarming As someone who is helping run a nation that is really reliant on the new Snow Elves that come in I feel that a monk should check the person’s application really quick to ensure they are being guided to the right place. If they say that they are from such and such nation they should be brought there and even be able to ring the rally bell if necessary. There is more than likely someone who is willing to come on and help the new player rply and oocly if we are told about it. The lagpocalypse hit nations hard and trying to recover from it can be difficult for more race built nations, and you cannot expect one or two people to idle for 12-14 hours a day doing almost nothing waiting for the new players to come back if there is a notification system. We didn’t even get an incoming-new player ping for someone into they were already in our Nation with the Monk guide that brought them. As a New Player, were you helped by a monk? Yes- and it was a wonderful experience since they made sure I got to the nation I needed to get to and introduced me to a few people who could help. You specifically Muffins. Did the monk guidance give you a better understanding of how the server works?\ Yes it did, because they taught me everything about emotes, emote colors, chat channels, the whole works. Granted- this was almost a year ago now (I came onto the server the last week of June last year). They were kind to myself and were even willing to rp with me a little and made sure I was fully settled in and talking to other players before leaving me for my RP journey. Though I never saw that Monk again- I am still thankful for them. Do you think that monk guidance is beneficial to players who are new to the server? Yes, specifically for those who need a specific destination they need to be brought to. Once again, as a race-based nation and a player who had chosen my character for that nation they should be brought to the specific place as needed to prevent people from swindling them and bringing them to the wrong place. Bandits are also a pretty big issue as well since new players know so little as it is it can be overwhelming. As a new player, were you left feeling more confident after being helped by a monk? Yes. Do you feel that the monks are necessary for assisting new players on the server? Yes. I do. Of course certain races like Elves and Humans are free to explore and chose their new destinies- but if a person wants a specific nation they should be helped by a non-biased member to get them to that nation. And to teach them the rather complex nature of the server itself- though I do agree with the point of few that if we had a cleaner UI to the help system it would be so so much better.
  5. how big is Xavis’ family tree..? it.. seems LORGGG.
  6. So wait bandits are murders are upset they have to give effort on who they bandit- instead of being able to take advantage of new players? If this an April Fool’s its fine as well.
  7. Datura is probably somewhere smiling at the mention of her tavern.
  8. I don’t know why but this made me laugh harder than it should’ve.
  9. I would highly appreciate an update post when and if Korvic ever gets the permission he needs. It would be happily received from myself. Even if its not a post, a ping in discord would be delicious.
  10. Boy lets be real; I have been helping you edit the spelling mistakes. I love you though. xD
  11. Gimme more about flat shells please. I love the rest of it though. ❤️
  12. Datura nods approvingly at this sentiment; hoping others will also read this. Datura’s skygod can not help but snicker.

Datura Ithil is the only child of her family, and is highly cherished by her mother, a librarian, and father, a professor. Her mother was almost 500 years of age when she had Datura. Since Elves are cursed to end up completely infertile by 500 years old, Datura was a miracle to even be born. Her parents swore to keep their precious bundle of joy safe the moment she was born; for they had tried so long for her to be brought into their arms. Since a young age, Datura has been sheltered from the harshness of military life other Mali'fenn know. Instead, her parents allowed her to dream, to be creative, and to read as much as she pleased. As long as she stayed safe. However it was hard for them to keep her reigned in during her adolescent years, she constantly wanted to explore past her family grounds within the Citadel to see the world around her. She wanted to see those plants she had read about in her books, to hear others stories that have not been written down in such a historical fashion, and to illustrate things outside the family estate. As she has matured into adulthood her desire to explore only grew; and her parents knew they could not keep her locked up forever. They were both about to hit the age thought where Snow Elves were believed to go insane, and they couldn’t bare to not see her fully blossom before then. She has now been blessed to leave the family estate to gain the experience needed for her life long dream to become a Botany Professor. Datura now plans a few goals of her travels. Firstly is to illustrate every piece of flora that she sees, labeling them with the information she’s memorized from her favorite books. Secondly she plans on writing back home every once in a while to update her parents on her journey. Lastly, she wants to make new friends and hear new tales. She thinks it is an awful shame that there is a lack of more personal tales in the libraries of the Citadel, and she thinks that she could write these more emotional depictions of life.
