Henrietta von Preussens scanned over the missive with a saddened gaze, the complete contrast of demeanor that a soon-to-be bride should carry. She falsified a faint smile as she redirected her gaze to Arnaud @KaiserJacobII, the man she was betrothed to, "Indeed," She replied bluntly before she tucked the written announcement away.

Penned by the Vienne Grand Mistress of Attire, 11th of the Sun's Smile, 1881 Modesty, a virtue that all men and women must possess, is characterized by their apparel. Honor, another persona of virtue, is often linked with material possessions such as property, jewels, and more. Honor was also linked to physical appearances, discernible through clothing. Physical appearances are principal when determining an individual’s attitude, an assumption like such would also apply to how a foreigner may perceive a kingdom. The people of the court are expected to maintain not only their position but also the finest of their appearances. Yet, fashion is not just limited to the ladies of Vienne and the court, it extends to all classes and precedes gender. A mere outline is provided to express the expectations in the guide continued below. TABLE OF CONTENTS I. COLORS, TEXTURES, AND TEXTILES II. APPROPRIATE ACCESSORIES PER CLASS III. THE IMPORTANCE OF SOCIAL SITUATIONS IV. SILHOUETTES AND DRESS STRUCTURE V. NOTABLE INDIVIDUALS I. COLORS, TEXTURES, AND TEXTILES The dull and boorish colors that were popular in the past have been left behind. Right now, bright and vibrant colors are the desirable palettes for modern fashion. The idea of crossing colors, textiles, and textures alike is highly encouraged right now. Furs of many species are very popular amongst both genders, as many are worn as trophies. A variety of fabrics are available when it comes to choosing, but unfortunately, the fabric is not almost chosen under the pretense of comfort. Fabrics such as silk are rarer than other types, so, therefore, it is more expensive. Silk is typically worn by royalty and nobility as a sign of their class. Wool is worn by those of any class who can afford it. A cheaper alternative could be linen, which is commonly found to be worn within the common class. The combination of differing colors, fabrics and such distract from the simplicity of the silhouette that is popular in the II. APPROPRIATE ACCESSORIES PER CLASS On the topic of accessories, there is a range of objects that fall under the category. This includes headwear, jewelry, and anything worn that isn’t attached to the clothes. Most headpieces, particularly those forged in gold, are exclusive to Oren’s nobility. Common jewels and brooches are allowed to be worn by any of the public, gentry, and all houses. As the ranks ascend, the terms of what is acceptable to be worn accessory-wise expands. Peers may find themselves donning sashes, while others may not. Circlets are only allowed to be worn by those of Ducal Houses only during certain occasions such as Debuts, Weddings, and Formal Events. The Royal Household, as long as they are main-line, themselves may don whatever they wish, aside from Crowns, Barbettes, and Diadems. Meanwhile, the heir of the Kingdom is limited to brooches, circlets, and sashes. Barbettes are a signature piece donned by the Consort herself. Diadems are a symbol of sovereignty, therefore, it would only be appropriate for, his Majesty, the Regent to wear such an exclusive piece. Crowns are unshared with any other rank except for the Queen and King of the kingdom themselves. Outside of ranks lie a vast amount of options to decorate oneself with. Many, especially men, don belts and sheathes to place their tools and weapons, while others, particularly women and children, adorn themselves with flowers. To distract from the simplicity of the new attire, many can be seen wearing capes, mantles or shawls. III. THE IMPORTANCE OF SOCIAL SITUATIONS It is a sign of honor to dress according to one’s situation. Celebrations and family events differ in style when compared to a ball or royal party. When attending balls or parties, it is common courtesy to dress along with the assigned theme (if any) or in the finest garbs one owns. If an individual is a part of the military or owns ceremonial clothing, it is acceptable for them to arrive in such. When one is in mourning, it is socially expected for them to don black or darker clothing in general. One must also adorn themselves with the appropriate accessories per occasion, specifics can be found listed below IV. SILHOUETTES AND DRESS STRUCTURE - In contrast to the standards of previous years, the gowns aren't as structured. The feminine dress silhouette is more free-flowing and structureless while the masculine attire is less form fitting to allow less constricted movement. - Modesty is still an important concept within society, so it is asked of the citizens of Oren to maintain an appropriate appearance by keeping their skin– particularly the shoulders, arms and legs– concealed. V. NOTABLE INDIVIDUALS Many look to prominent societal figures as a muse when it comes to updating their own garbs. There are many individuals who can be credited for establishing or inspiring the current fashion. HER ROYAL MAJESTY, Vivienne of Savoy @Spicii can be credited for popularizing the beauty of simplicity worn in modern gowns. HER IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Anastasia I @Eryane revived the use of half-head veils. HER EXCELLENCY, Maria von Preussens, the Lady Seneschal of Oren @slattador Notable for her vast collection of simplistic, yet beautiful, dresses. Lady Mathilde de Falstaff @amyselia Popularized the use of vibrant colors and designs. HER LADYSHIP, Aloisia of Rivia @Fie Notable for her expansive gallery of beautiful gowns that fit this period of fashion. HIS ROYAL MAJESTY, Frederick I @Lionhz With the use of his platform, his majesty can be credited for shifting male style. HIS EXCELLENCY, Conrad de Falstaff @Chennster Notable for his vogue appearance and intricate style. HIS LORDSHIP, Hannes de Vilain @Ryanark Garbs himself in a simplistic, yet refined manner that others should follow. SIR Gustaf of Acre @M1919 As longer tunics come into style, Sir Gustaf can be used as a good reference. It is important to regard the fact that fashion is constantly shifting at an alarming pace that may seem impossible to keep track of. The purpose of the Orenian Practice Collection is to keep an accurate record of what is current in the terms of fashion, modesty, and procedures. Penned by Henrietta von Preussens, the 18th of the Sun’s Smile, 1881 Once a place of gossip between feuding peers and discussions about the next balls and events that occurred within the palace, Vienne has found its most recent fixation– war. Such a topic stirs up a combination of many emotions, both negative and positive, depending on the individual. Though, war is not favorable amongst the younger age groups of Oren. Parents desperately advise their children to lock themselves away in the safety of their keeps and homes. The war has taken away our right to peacefully leave the walls, and explore! Unable to create a compromise that would allow us beyond Vienne’s fortifications… The ever so wise, Lady Adelaide Keen and Lady Johanna von Preussens, conjured the idea to host a gathering of Orenian youth within the safety of the Stassion Palace. The ‘Folly of the Fables’ Costume Party shall occur on the 4th of Horen’s Calling, 1882 EXPECTATIONS Every reasonable person knows that rules are boring and unnecessary, but the ones about to be discussed are vital in terms of remaining civil and avoiding further conflict. The young Lady of Ames has taken precautionary measures to list what should be the guidelines of the Orenian children during this assembly. Children of all ages are encouraged to convene in Stassion’s Kid Kingdom. If you are not familiar with the directions, it can be located on the uppermost floor of the palace. Please note that it is more fun to pass through the ‘magik portal’ Due to Lady Adelaide’s unwavering love for fairytales, It is also recommended that anyone who wishes to participate in this event dons a costume to represent their favorite story, fable, play, opera, ballet, or their favorite mythical creature. Lady Johanna also insists that if you possess any of these traits listed, you should not attend: old, boring, annoying, whiny, or a tattle-tale. PROGRAM OF EVENTS I. INTRODUCTORY GAMES All attendees shall participate in a variety of fun games in order to familiarize themselves with one another. Examples of these games will be simple icebreakers such as Truth or Dare or Two Truths and One Lie II. SNACK BREAK The palace staff, particularly the kitchen servants, shall accompany the needs of the party attendees. An extravagant feast shall be prepared for the children, including candy and the best juice in all of Oren. III. SHOW AND TELL Those willing, will be asked to come forth and share information about their chosen costume, or any item or their choosing. Ex. You may present your doll or any other unique item if you wish. IV. COSTUME CONTEST For the Grand Finale, all kids will be asked to cover their eyes as the judge calls out names. As each name is called, kids will raise their hands to vote for who they agree has the best costume. It is guaranteed that there will be no bias for the competition. As the results are counted, the individual who collects the highest number of votes shall be granted the title– King or Queen of Kid Kingdom. ALL CITIZENS AND ALLIES OF OREN, BELOW THE AGE OF THIRTEEN, ARE INVITED TO ATTEND. SIGNED, LADY ADELAIDE VICTORIA KEEN LADY JOHANNA KARLOTTA VON PREUSSENS LADY HENRIETTA WILHELMINE VON PREUSSENS

"I have a few moves myself," Naevys chortled at her own words, finding the idea of herself dancing rather amusing. Her playful demeanor quickly dissipated as she set the missive down, "I'll go just for the wines," She replied to Maevarienn with fleeting interest as she perched a cigarette between her lips once more.

A SOLICITUDE SHARED BETWEEN TWAIN
sondher replied to slattador's topic in The Grand Principality of Minitz
The young von Preussens, broke her recently reclusive nature by exchanging a conversation with the soon-to-be bride. Henrietta's brows lofted with genuine surprise before she falsified a smile, "I was starting to think I was going to get married before you..." She teased her relative in a light-hearted manner, "Congratulations!" Carolina received the letter while she was travelling abroad, her pale-blue orbs lightening with delight, "A shame I can not make it," She remarked quietly to herself while the corner's of her lips furled into that of a frown, "At least, I don't think I can..." The auburn-haired woman hummed thoughtfully before gently shrugging her shoulders, promptly turning to arrange a gift for the couple. -
"He's practically a ghost!" Henrietta von Preussens exclaimed amidst the gossip that occurred between the gaggle of girls. Her palm hovered above her lips, discreetly giggling at the other comments that the dinner party's participants contributed.
-
Upon receiving the pamphlet, Henrietta's periwinkle orbs gleamed with excitement as they darted about the page while she read over its contents, "Lady Mathilde!" She called for the Lady Seneschal before she indicated her name on the list of invitees with her index finger, "Rally the seamstresses! Elisa and I shall prevail!” The youthful von Preussens declared confidently.
-
Henrietta's cerulean eyes gleamed with delight after admiring the canvas that had been painted upon by various artists. Her tawny curls that framed her face bounced as she enthusiastically approached the flaxen-haired Pruvia, Mathilde, "My Lady! We must have flowers like these in your garden!" She exclaimed whilst displaying the entries. Her youthful visage hardened as she shot a glance towards her friend, Emir de Rosius, "Vote for me, pleaseee."

From the midst of her confines within the Stassion Castle in Vienne, a certain flaxen-haired woman grinned upon seeing her name printed amongst the ranks.

Marya subtly stopped in her tracks, eyes quickly sweeping across the man's frame. The woman's eyes softened at the man's rather cordial greeting. "Eja!" The girl jubilantly responded, cloudy orbs frequently darting amongst the environment that engulfed the duo. "Truly, I'm not sure why I've brought myself here. I feel I need to explore this wonderful city before I figure my purpose." She'd chime in the man's direction, pallor-tinted tips fiddling with the folds of her dress. "Would you mind possibly showing me around a bit?" Marya inquired of the man, the corners of her lips folding north as she awaited the his response..
