  1. Nastasiya, freshly recovered from the sickness that took so many of her kin, spent the consecutive days training-- striking dummies made of straw with her wooden sword. After each successful slash she would habitually glance to the side, seeking a certain raven-haired girl's exclamation of praise, the kind she used to receive from her best friend Milena... but the girl was no longer around. With the exception of the creaks of the old barn she trained in, and her heavy breathing, there was an unwelcome silence that resonated. Her arms finally went limp, weak after what felt like days of relentless beating. She had spent so long trying to distract herself, only for it to ultimately fail. The harsh reality had stricken her cruelly. . . Milena vas Ruthern was dead.
  2. Nastasiya shot an askance look to each youth she passed by from then on, wondering which one of them had snitched to her mother about her partying and antics.
  3. Carolina Temesch boasted a rather proud grin as she spied her husband's name listed amongst the special invitees, "A masquerade, how lovely, Paul! We must go," She finalized without awaiting the Count's approval.
  4. "Nie, nie. They have a point, there is an alarming lack of papej's," The scruffy Ruthern, Nastasiya, commented, jabbing a calloused finger towards the article she referred to.
  5. Nastasiya cheers for her friend, Lorence Arvid Colborn!
  6. Henrietta Halcourt could barely recall the distant memories she had of her great-aunt, whom she had never really had the opportunity to become close with. Despite the estrangement that she shared with that side of her family, the Baroness d'Artois sent her condolences to Eugenie's Preussens' offspring, feeling sympathy for her relatives.
  7. Nastasiya grinned arrogantly upon reading over the pamphlet, before boasting the fact (to her friends and family) that she had engaged in over five duels at just the age of thirteen. There was no one to say whether she won or lost though. . .
  8. Nastasiya vas Ruthern skimmed over the missive with pouted lips, her calloused hands thoughtfully massaging her bruised knuckles-- a result of the Princess and Falstaff's argument.
  9. Carolina Temesch pushed her spectacles further up the bridge of her nose as she closely examined the Constitution. The ghostly-pale ginger beamed a bright smile upon spotting her signature. Her bony hand reached out, extending a glass of Port de Province towards the ladies gathered around, "To a glorious future, with many opportunities!" The Countess toasted cheerfully, "Now let's get to work."
  10. Carolina eagerly read over the missive, beaming a broad grin before dipping her head in approval, "AVE PETRA!" Exclaimed the patriotic Countess, her periwinkle irises peering out a window in Temesch Hall, overseeing the vast beautiful fields that bordered the keep.
  11. Nastasiya never knew the name of the man, she didn't need to, she called him papej. Despite being aware of his passing, she didn't understand the permanence of death. The youth frequently found herself waiting for the man in the square of Karosgrad, her broad emerald irises desperately roving over the faces of those passing by, but even as time went, she never saw the face of Godric Adrian Colborn. The Ruthern's naive, innocent spirits were quelled as she realized that she may never see him again. . .
  12. "Peace," The Baroness of Artois, Henrietta, repeated her husbands words with a satisfied tone. A doting smile spread across her lips as she turned to face Arnaud, "And just in time too..." She added, her palm protectively hovering over her visibly pregnant stomach.
  13. "WOO!" Nastasiya vas Ruthern cheers as the boy ascends the stage, though, she pauses for a moment... uncertain about what she is even cheering for.
  14. Nastasiya grinned toothily as her mother read off the invitation to her, "Ooo! Jippieh!" The youth exclaimed, her hands clasping together at her uncontained excitement, "Ea have the perfect costume!" She stated confidently before she approached the wall, pinning the missive to the wall in their cozy cabin with a piece of taffy.

  16. The young von Preussens, broke her recently reclusive nature by exchanging a conversation with the soon-to-be bride. Henrietta's brows lofted with genuine surprise before she falsified a smile, "I was starting to think I was going to get married before you..." She teased her relative in a light-hearted manner, "Congratulations!" Carolina received the letter while she was travelling abroad, her pale-blue orbs lightening with delight, "A shame I can not make it," She remarked quietly to herself while the corner's of her lips furled into that of a frown, "At least, I don't think I can..." The auburn-haired woman hummed thoughtfully before gently shrugging her shoulders, promptly turning to arrange a gift for the couple.
  17. "He's practically a ghost!" Henrietta von Preussens exclaimed amidst the gossip that occurred between the gaggle of girls. Her palm hovered above her lips, discreetly giggling at the other comments that the dinner party's participants contributed.

As a child, Marya grew up in a rather loving and nurturing household. Herself and her other two siblings, Anastasia and Ivan, were always close as children, and often found themselves together for most of their childhood as they ventured throughout the fields of their families' garden. The children grew bound to the sweet smell of the flowers and began to grow a liking to the outdoors. However, the outdoors were soon to cause the family great loss and heartbreak. It was a simple day- the tree's whistling and the birds chirping about as the waves collided with the land the Borgov family resided on. Ivan, Marya's youngest sibling, decided he'd go for a water break without his older siblings- and was never heard from again. The Borgov family searched for the boy, crying out for him to simply return home- but there was always nothing but the wind. They grew restless, and the family had to come to terms with the young boy's death. Days turned into months, and months turned into years before Marya's parents had decided it was time for change. The family shortly found themselves packing, and staying within the Kingdom of Haense to begin a new story. In her free time, Marya began to hit the books. The woman spent most of her time indoors, after her brother's tragic incident- however, she grew attune to the fact that she couldn't be cooped up all day. Now, she finds herself interested in hosting events and getting to know the residents of Haense. Being an introvert and a bit of a narcist, however, may get in the way of such. Where her future leads, may we find out soon.
