  1. Dame Leoni of Acalonn, Orphan of the Sunlit Lord and Devil-Knight, read the missive with a scowl. "I no longer fight the Titan in honor of the Aengul of Tyranny, the Aengul that my Haelun pledged her life and soul for. I fight for the defense of my family and my community." - "The last thing you should do is invoke XAN when asking people to fight Azdromoth with you."
  2. Name: Dame Leoni of Acalonn Age: 21 Inhabitant?: Yes.
  3. Dame Leoni of Acalonn read the missive with barely contained rage. She would send a letter to Ser Sterling. Ser Sterling, You forgot to mention in your recent report of how you and the others abandoned the Paladins to their doom. Your actions were an extreme act of cowardice and callous disregard of your kin of arms in the face of the forces of Ruin. Not even attempting to defend the Paladins so they could get away, you willingly let their evil plans flourish before your very eyes! You and the other church-men retreated with the excuse that they were 'heretics' and that some 'didn't like paladins anyways.' Now a Keeper of Xan is dead, and Azdromoth's plans for the complete destruction of our world as we know it have gotten ever-closer to fruition under your watch. Sincerely, Dame Leoni of Acalonn
  4. Dame Leoni of Acalonn, Devil-Knight and Orphan of the Sunlit Lord, watched the skies crash, rumble and turn a multitude of colors with great shame. "I'm sorry... I couldn't save you, llir. I have no more love and reverence for the Lord you and my mother serve, but I hope you tell haelun that I miss her."

  6. Dame Leoni of Acalonn heard of this new group developing from her partner while she resided in her home. Bedridden, the Devil-Knight grimaced at the news. "An even more extreme group of valah than the last... I suppose they gotta keep themselves occupied somehow. God forbid they actually help against the likes of Azdromoth as they attempt to destroy ALL of us, regardless of creed or race..."
  7. It's cause Xan, the Aengul of Order is very picky when it comes to his followers not just in their actions and words, but also the state of their souls. He's the Aengul of Order, after all. It's the same reason why Kha can't be paladins. Their souls are marked in some way by another daemonic entity and Xan doesn't like that. I don't think either being cursed from birth or by ritual should have no effect at all on the deific magics that they can wield. Some of the gods will scorn you as a cursed child/tiefling, and that is something that I think can make for some genuinely interesting roleplay. A people that even certain gods deem unworthy of their gifts. We can let the members of such community decide how they deal with that information.
  8. Funnily enough, I wanted to remove the line entirely in my original post, but because people interpreted that as me trying to take away the drawbacks of the cursed children, I opted to change it to repeating the lore instead. Either way works for me. I just wanna have the lore be consistent.
  9. I totally get it! That's why I wanted to make the amendment in the first place. No hard feelings! :)
  10. Thank you! That was what I originally put, removing the line entirely and letting the feat lore explain it. I decided to mirror the feat lore instead to make it more clear that I'm not trying to remove the drawbacks of the blessed children.
  11. No I'm not. This is mirroring exactly what the Blessed Children of Ixris feat lore says, which is the main deific magic that is unable to be made is paladinism. Everything else is fair game, with the rules that are currently written down.
  12. That's what I've been told, but I've had other folks say otherwise. Originally I wanted the line to be removed and have the feat lore alone explain which magics you can do, but having it mirror the lore instead is better. Edited the proposal to make more clear what I wanna do, which is have the ritual lore be clarified and mirror what the feat lore says, not remove a drawback of becoming a cursed child through the ritual. Edited the proposal to make more clear what I wanna do with this, which is to have the ritual lore match the feat lore and be clarified, rather than to remove the limitations of being a cursed child.
  13. That's pretty much my intent by removing that line. If it's changed to 'They have a corrupted soul and therefore cannot be a paladin, but can do these other magics,' that's also fine. I'm just trying to make sure the feat lore and the ritual lore match up, or at least be clarified.
  14. Old: Redlines: - Requires [3] Naztherak, all of which must be at least tier [3]. - Cursed children will always inherit traits that are reflective of the Lord of the Naztherak who submerged their grimoire. - Requires OOC consent to perform. - It takes [4] OOC days for the striith to return from the High Hells. - Cursed Childern created with this ritual will have a corrupted soul, meaning that they cannot practice holy magics. - Becoming a Cursed Child is permanent. - Cursed Children follow all redlines of the Blessed One’s lore piece. New: Redlines: - Requires [3] Naztherak, all of which must be at least tier [3]. - Cursed children will always inherit traits that are reflective of the Lord of the Naztherak who submerged their grimoire. - Requires OOC consent to perform. - It takes [4] OOC days for the striith to return from the High Hells. - Cursed Childern created with this ritual will have a corrupted soul, meaning that they cannot practice Paladinism. They can practice all other deific magics. [Templarism, Druidism, Shamanism, Seers, etc.] - Becoming a Cursed Child is permanent. - Cursed Children follow all redlines of the Blessed One’s lore piece. Reasoning: I've noted this issue with what the definition of 'holy magics' is with plenty of Story team folks, only to have conflicting answers as to what sort of magics a Blessed Child of Ixris that is made from this ritual can perform. Due to the very vague wording within the ritual lore that seems to contradict the feat lore itself without adding sufficient clarity, I propose that the 'unable to perform holy magics' line be changed so that the information for what magics a persona with this feat can do can be simplified and made much more clear. If there should be a difference in magical access between those made by ritual and those made from birth, it should be clarified in the lore with much more accuracy and clarity than how it is made now within the Naztherak ritual lore as it stands.
