Katara walked about in Cerulia, it was a beautiful day, and she was rather enjoying it. As she walked back towards her house, she spotted something. No, more like someone. She glared at Sylvia Root. What happened on Kalldur would stay there, for all she was concerned, however, Sylvia still was no friend of hers. She continued her walk, admiring the beauty of the cave around her, when she reached the bottom, she walked about, reading each of the house signs. “Residence of Sylvia and Terminus Root” Katara scowled. They were her neighbors? She sighed as she headed up to her house, this was going to be interesting.

As a consequence of Katara cheerfully ignoring those baleful circumstances, the town guards promptly showed up to her residence and showed her an arrest warrant. "According to Penal Code 302," the first Lurinite began, the Captain to be precise. "You have breached the law by allowing that building to sink without helping the people who were trapped inside."
For Katara, she might now have memories of her nemesis Sylvia crying out for help before she was swallowed by the murky depths of her collapsing floorboards. "Take her away," said the Captain, before Katara was ushered to the county jail for an evening. Now, she would await trial. -

Katara entered Cerulia, it was indeed beautiful in the new lands, as she wandered around she saw a steward working around one of the buildings. “Excuse me, are you the local steward?” Katara said. The woman turned around, and upon settling her gaze on Katara said “Oh yes I am, can I help you?” Katara smiled “Indeed you can! I'm in search of a home.” The steward thought for a minute. “Do you want a river front or an underground property? One is cheaper in a way.” Katara raised her eyebrows “In a way?” “Well, river front homes cost 20 mina, and underground cost 5-20 depending on which one.” the woman said. After looking at different homes, and deciding on an underground home, the woman helped Katara move in most of her things.
Katara dusted off her hands, looking around her now full home, she moved upstairs and looked over the view. It wasn’t perfect, but it was hers, she thought to herself. A feeling of security settled over her as she pulled more of her things from her bag.

Katara rode her horse across the Alba bridge. The voice had conceded to her returning the head. It had been three days. The head was starting to smell and she had started storing it in a cleft of rocks. As she rode across the bridge she spotted Adrian. She led her horse to the railing, then walked up to Adrian, handed him the head and promptly jumped off of the bridge with her horse. She realized when she hit the water, that someone had been next to Adrian. “Oh well” she thought. She led her horse to shore, then started riding towards Grense. Dramatic flair was fine and all, but she needed to explain why she had the head. As she walked up to Adrian, who didn't look very well, and saw a shorter woman walk up to her “Hello” Katara said, trying to be polite. The woman reached up and grabbed Katara’s ear and yanked as hard as she could, trying to bring Katara to the ground. “HEY” Katara said, The woman had a firm hold on her ear and it hurt quite a bit. She turned to Adrian the best she could. “Adrian, can you get your lady friend to release me?” Adrian threw up. Katara’s eyes widened. The woman yanked on her ear again, trying to pull Katara down to her height. “Why would you do that? Why did you give him that?” She yelled. Katara sent a pleading look to Adrian, who was recovering from throwing up. He hadn't taken a head being handed to him very well. “Adrian it wasn't my fault, he made me do it.” Adrian turned to his lady friend “Let her go, it wasn't her fault” The lady gave her ear another hard yank and let go. Katara straightened, and promptly swiped her leg under the ladies, taking her feet out from under her. Adrian threw up again. “Adrian I am so very sorry, please don't tell anyone, I must go now, but I shall see you later.” She turned and after sending a look to the lady, who was getting up, she mounted her horse and left.

Katara followed the guard, curious. The guard had come up to them earlier and had needed the boy and Adrian because he had found the site of a murder. They had gone to the boy's house to get some paper and a pen. The guard opened a door and the group followed him through. A decapitated body of a woman lay on the ground, beside her a chest lay, slightly open. They opened it and found the woman's head, as well as a note explaining who killed her and who she was. She felt a small pain in her head and heard “Take the head” from the voice. She grunted, no, she couldn't. The family would need it, and it would be dangerous. “Take it or else.” She shifted, she knew she had to. The men turned their backs for a second, and she slipped her head into her bag. The guard noticed the head was gone, but since there were four of them, it would be hard to know who had it. As they discussed it, Katara spoke up “I don’t have it, but I am going to Haelen’or, if anyone needs me, I’ll be there," she slipped away from the group. “Good job” The voice congratulated her. “If you make me do something like that again, I'll get rid of you the only way I can.” “You wouldn't dare.” The voice said, taking on a darker tone “Try me”

Katara ran out of the house, her head pounding as she tried to get out of Alba. "What is happening?" A voice ripped into her thoughts "You know you want me. I own you now, for eternity" Katara leaned over the railing of the bridge from Grense to Alba. She felt herself jump off. Landing in the river she swam to shore and dragged herself into the woods. Her bag spilled onto the ground, the strange idol pulsed, a tealish light beating like a heart. The voice returned "They will all leave you now. No one will understand. Don't tell them." Katara panted, " How... did you make me do that... She stared back at the bridge. The voice answered " I am in control, you will bend to my will, if you do, this will be quite... painless." A sharp pain exploded from her hand, she ripped off her glove and watched in awe as the cut on her hand disappeared. "I can tell them what happened, what you did, who he was..." "NO" she screamed, an unhuman sound that ripped through the surrounding area. She fell to her knees, I'll obey, I'll obey..."

Katara walked back into Grense, she hadn't seen Evelyn in a while, "Hmm, maybe I should check up on her" she thought as a young boy walked up to her. "Excuse me ma'am?" Katara looked down at the boy "Hello, how can I help you?" The boy blinked, and Katara looked up to see Adrian coming up behind him. "Hello again" Katara said, greeting him. "Why hello! where you able to go to Norland yet?" he said, a sparkle in his eye. "Nay, the mountain has made it difficult to visit." Katara shook her head. The boy spoke up "Can I ask my question now?" "Go ahead" She said, wondering what he could have to ask her. He looked up to her and said "Would you go on a date with my uncle?" Katara nearly snorted. Adrian raised his eyebrows and started inching away from the conversation. Katara sent him a glance that said "Don't you dare leave, help me get out of this" He stood still. Katara looked back down at the boy and sighed. "I'm currently not looking for a suitor I'm sorry" The boys shoulders sagged. "Oh" he said. "Well your to pretty for him anyways." Katara reached into her bag and pulled out a cookie and an amulet. He handed them to the boy and said "Here, when you find a lady for your uncle, give her this" The boy grabbed the amulet and smiled. His expression suddenly went very serious "Can you promise me something?" She heard Adrian whisper "Uh, oh your in it now" Katara crouched and said "As long as it puts me in no peril, sure" He looked her in her eye and said "Never, ever, date my brother." Katara's eyebrows now raised as she looked to Adrian "Who is his brother?" Adrian whispered it into her ear, a look of confusion flickered across her face. "I don't think I've met him." The boy smiled "Well that's a good thing." Katara laughed and moved away, back to business.

Hey! This sounds like something that would be done through an MArt. You can't just say "my character has this condition" in LOTC, even if it doesn't give you a combative advantage. Anything even mildly "supernatural," which this malflame would certainly fall under, needs to be obtained in-roleplay.
Basically, you can't say your character has this condition. LOTC sucks in that way. :(

"Miss?"
Katara opened her eyes, a young man leaned over her, she heard the voice say, "I'll be back, consider your options"
The man sat back at bit, visibly glad to see her awake. "Are you ok?" He said looking over her as if trying to tell if she was sick. "Oh yes, just tired, I did not mean to fall asleep in the street though" she looked around, trying to get her bearings, she didn't remember moving here, but could the voice have done that? Probably. She sat up and looked at the young man "Oh my" she thought, he was handsome, human she'd say, around 20? She shifted to lean on the wall behind her. "Is something wrong?" He said, Katara shifted uneasily. "Its ok I won't tell anyone" He pulled up two chairs, which they sat in. She didn't know why, but she wanted to tell him, a complete stranger, but there was just something about him. "Ok, I will tell you, but please do not ever tell anyone." She said. "I will not say anything, now please" He gestured for her to start.
About 15 minutes later, she had explained most of what had happened. She had left out some pieces, Something about telling him about the Idol piece, and the flame, just hadn't fit right. He sat for a moment, thinking. "I think you should find a shaman, I believe there is one in Norland." Katara blinked, a healer? It made sense. But Norland? She sighed, It had to be done. But not now, something told her she should stay here.

Katara's head throbbed, the voice hadn't left her head for five days. She was tired, her hair was changing color, she had walked by a shop window and seen herself and she nearly cried out. She was a mess. Ack, he was back, and taunting her again. "I know I know, stop reminding me" Katara sighed, "I'll stop threatening you when you start obeying me." The voice responded. Katara laughed out loud, "So far this great pain you threatened me with hasn't showed up, so I don't know if I shall obey you." The voice made a sound that was almost a laugh "Alright then..."
A searing pain ripped through Katara, she crumpled to the ground, It was like a hot iron all over her. She saw a flicker of blue light as she faded into darkness, a cry escaped her lips as she drifted off.

Katara stood up and walked to a nearby table. Taking a glance back at the fire, she took out three long poles and fashioned some makeshift fishing rods. She handed one to each child. She led the children down to the river and showed them how to cast a line into the water. They fished in silence for a while, until they had enough fish and brought them to Aaron's house to cook. "Why are we helping them?" A voice said. Katara stopped and turned, seeing no one, she continued to help in the kitchen. "You know that one of them is a high elf, they despise us" The voice was loud, like someone was in front of her, speaking. Katara walked out of the kitchen and into the dining room. "Who are you, where are you?" She whispered glancing around the room again. An uneasy feeling was beginning to settle upon her.
