  1. This all started during man’s war, when she had lost her husband, the father of her child. The first thorn had pierced her heart, having her love bleed and ruin. The second thorn would scratch at her mind, “Awful mother.” “Your child is doomed.” “Selfish husband.” Words that stung and picked at her everyday. The third thorn would caress her ears, a leading song that would call to her, wanting her to approach. She would ignore it, focusing on trying to be a mother, but it grew louder, it begged for her to find it. So she did, she found the song, and it devoured her. Her body, her mind, her soul. All eaten and remolded, spat out as something new. The fourth thorn was horror, what was she now? Was her body made of plants? How would others react…. Her son ran away from her, being adopted by one she called a friend. She tried her hardest to understand, but every time something new would happen. Yet she felt more in control of herself than she had ever been. She felt ready for the world. Through time many more thorns would try to pierce her, to harm her. She was stronger now, and with the merging of her soul and a fae’s soul, she was able to handle more. Stronger together, is what they were. She became a druid, she learnt more about her new body and nature. Her son talks to her, she even has a daughter now. Life was well, so why did this one thorn prick her. Why did she gamble with the musin? It was just a game, no real harm was meant to happen. She was losing the game at first, but then she started winning and winning and winning, she felt cocky, and said they could do one more roll. She lost. The gamble was her eyes, but her new body could regenerate her eyes, right? The pain, the darkness, it started to make her panic. Why aren’t her eyes healing properly, why can’t she see yet. Even Fae couldn’t give her an answer, she began to lose herself. It felt like thorns were growing where her eyes used to be. She started to become desperate, every stumble, every corner she would bump into. She was strong, but now felt weaker than ever before. She prayed to the aspects, she asked for help from her fae, she begged for help, but would help arrive. Deep within her mind, her fae stirs and speaks, "I merged with this dark elf, and I have seen much of the pain she has experienced. I have seen others harm her, and choices she has made which harm herself, even her children aren’t safe from their own choices. " "It seems it is time I start to play my cards. As her fae, and for the sake of our own survival." "I call out to a higher power, grant us something, so we may see again, so we may move forward. So that I can help this poor girl reach higher and finally protect those she cares about." "Whatever the cost…"
  2. Aldith who was with her Epiphyte plant, watched as her friend's plant slowly died. Her eyes widened as she knew what it meant, her ears lower, the fae around her gently flying close to water trying to check on the plant. She took a moment to compose herself before finally speaking. "Rest well my friend... you will be greatly missed." Tears slowly travel down her face. As she returned home, the letter had arrived, as she read the final words given she would breath in sharply. Taking the words to heart.
  3. Aldith would read the missive, roll it up and keeps her mouth shut. Only time will tell if this missive was on time.
  4. A mother cries, as the book she had left from her dead husband was taken. Why would they take something so dear.....
  5. Aldith would kneel infront of the flowers where Lenore had been buried. She would gently close her eyes, trying her hardest to find words to say. "Eja mum... y hope vy are free within the Enternal Forest." She would pause a small smile on her face. "Worry not, y will be okay and so will Grisha. So rest easy." Tears form in her eyes. "Thank vy... for everything, for being there when y needed vy most. For helping with moya son." She would then stand up and bow her head. "Thank vy moya mother."
  6. It was a normal day, sunny, quiet. Aldith stepped out of her house to get the mail, a note with hand writing she did not recognise. She waited to return home before reading it. As she did read it, the sunny day felt like a cruel heat, mocking her sadness. Her husband gone again..... Denied a goodbye again... She was on the edge of breaking down, before her son appeared. She held back the tears and gently huged her son, staying strong for him. Like Onyx would have liked. WIthin her mind she would say three words. "Goodbye my love."
  7. Another cared for gone.... rest well friend. Thank you for everything.

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) A bit timidly Aldith takes a seat as instructed. "Apologies kind lady, this is the first time I have journeyed so far from the forest." Aldith thinks carefully before smiling warmly "My story is complicated but I'd be happy to share. My name is Aldith, I was born to both my parents being dark elves, they were great parents all things considered however I never liked their way of life. Trading goods or dealing with merchants wasn't something I ever liked, especially with how some humans would treat my parents. I'd spend most of my time in the forest near the city, peaceful with only the sound of wind and animals to keep me company. One afternoon I had eaten some wild berries, they weren't poisonous however it did make me feel full and so my mother allowed me to go to bed early without dinner since I wasn't hungry. However when I woke up, I found my parents dead in the dining room. A merchant had sold us poisoned food, I had been lucky and though sad to have lost my parents I was thankful that I had eaten those berries." Adlith pauses and wipes some tears from her eyes. "Fast forward a few years, I am 13 years old. I had managed to get some housing by helping a herbalist with gathering herbs from the forest I would play in. It was hard work but I always made sure to keep an amount of herbs still planted so more could grow. One day I saw a human boy being bullied by a group of eleven kids, they were around my age. I hated what I saw. How could we ever hope to care about each other or stop discrimination if we are both equally bad to each other." Adlith would sigh and lean back a little to try and relax. "I was too weak to help him, but from that day on I disconnected from my people. At 15 years old I finally gained the courage to carve that belief into me." Adlith would move her long white hair to show her ears. Her ears were clearly eleven however heavily scared and missing their tips. "I cut them, shortened them down to a length between human and elf. After they healed I thanked the herbalist for the food and shelter. I then went to live in the forest away from everyone. I was at peace and for years it was nice." Adlith smiles a little from the memories. "I wanted to do more though, so I ventured further, leaving the forest. I heard rumours about Druids and I've decided I want to become one. So hopefully I'll find someone to teach me. Afterall what nature can give it can also take, I think both humans and elves have forgotten just how much we both rely on nature." Adlith then bowed her head "thank you for listening, Kind Lady. I hope it's not a bother but I'll rest here until morning arrives." With that final sentence, Adlith lies down and gently drifts to sleep.
