I, personally, feel that for this to function well or better, the Knights of Malinor should not be just a militaristic order. I feel it should encompass a variety of things; like the art of writing, formal representation to certain events (when deemed by the High Prince/Council), attain and uphold a certain level of chivalry, a library, self-provided sustenance, a sense of glory and honor, and finally, a strict process for outsiders to join the order. One of the most important, I feel, is the strict process for joining the order. As they say, "One bad apple spoils the bunch." If the requirements for the entrance are weak and/or insufficient to this order, then, there is a chance a being of a corrupt nature will introduce his/herself into the order, and mayhap rise to power. If said corrupted person does rise to power, or even if they do not, they could poorly represent the princedom of Malinor, and disgrace the Elven race. As you mentioned, there would be 6 trials to gain entrance, which, with enough development, would root out and unwanted/undesirable individuals, and keep the order pure and clean. These are just a few of my idea for how to run the order, if it ever does appear. -Private Cirdan Tiwele

((I haven't been on LoTC in a while(around 2 weeks), been busy with school stuff. I recently found out that my house was actually put up for sale after this event, as I wasn't there to claim it. I suppose there is no way to reclaim it now, that it is up for sale...? I guess it would be hard to prove that it was mine. :( )) Edit: I should of probably put this above, but it just came to mind. Worker's Application: (Repost sort of, Fealnor died :()) MC name: MrHobo IC name: Cirdan Tiwele Main Job: The main things that I would do the best in with building is creating either a semi-simplistic structure, or a "base plan" of sorts for a building. Aside from this, I can run a moderate income farm, whether of trees, wheat, or sugar cane (I haven't been able to get my hands on pumpkins or melons). I am flexible, and will do what is asked, but, I will not be as proficient as with what was previously stated/ Description on why you'd like to join: I have just recently migrated to Aegis, and before my father died, he wrote in his journal that he recently sent in his application to join this guild. As he passed before he achieved this, I have taken it upon myself to complete the duty he had set before himself. And, apart from reasons of honor, I have not yet found a source of income. This seems to be my best bet in excelling in this new land, as in my homeland, there was little, if any, fighting, apart from the occasional drunk or trouble maker. Skills: I can build the structure for a building that isn't too overly complicated or so intricate that it is confusing to even look at. Aside from this, I can build homes, mine shafts, farms, and other small-ish things like that. In a group, however, the structure will be built faster and better, as we will have multiple people working on the project, and multiple ideas and expertise to create the best structure we can.

That was "Fealnor." It was basically me wrapping him up as a character. Now, since he is no longer an active part of Aegis, I can move on to someone else.

Well... We could have more ships for a display of wealth... Or, as Eternis said, use these ships to teleport to the possible "colony" idea thingy that I have seen thrown around.

Worker's Application: MC name: MrHobo IC name: Fealnor (Soon to be Cirdan, as Fealnor will die soon) Main Job: Either building a semi-simplistic structure, or harvesting resources like stone, cobblestone, wood, tree trunks, and etc. Description on why you'd like to join: I have been looking for some sort of job to do besides fighting the undead, protecting a base, or being a merchant. I like to build when I can, and, this is what I would choose out of most jobs. Here, I would have the chance to impact the look of Aegis in a positive way, and, with a team (if there is one). This would also let me interact with more people, and help the guild progress with the people I meet, as I will make sure they know who to call if they or a friend need something built. Skills: I am good at collecting resources and building a basic outline, but, one area were I could develop my skills more as adding details to a building. I can do all right in it, but it is not an area I would put myself as the leader. I almost always, before building, make an outline of a building, so that I can see exactly what I/we are doing. Collecting resources is something else I am very adept at, as I have had a tree farm before, and it ran well during the duration of it.
