Dominion of Almohads
With the (misread) misinterpretation of the false siege of Valencia, the Sultan moves his 6,000 troops towards the Castilian forces crossing the border to attack his own flanking force. Furthermore, with the establishment of an alliance with the Mamluqs, 4,000 footsoldiers and 1,000 bowmen travel over the strait to reach the Iberian Peninsula.
- A combined force of 7,900 troops meet against the Castilian force.
- 5,000 troops cross the strait from Morocco to Granada.
- 14,600 troops are idle in the Iberian Peninsula.
With the threats of a coalition forming against the Almohads, the Sultan hires 4,500 mercenaries that stand idle along the Castilian border. Because of the terrain in favor of the Aragon forces, Mograko orders 6,000 footsoldiers, 2,000 Bowmen, 300 Lancers, and 500 Mounted Bowmen to march across the Castilian border towards the city of Toledo. The 4,500 mercenaries march close behind them.
