I like what I'm hearing so far. If nothing else I would love to just see the combat update make it onto the server. It doesn't conflict with our own skill system very much, if at all.

I like the idea of Goblins buildings fortifications. Perhaps they aren't allowed to wield weapons or attack, but build 1-2 block high barricades? I imagine Goblins building barricades in the back and then having the orcs retreat behind them and using them for battle strategies.

Darn, and I never even got to beat up my little brother.

Goal: 100 swords 50 mining 10-20 farming That's about it so far. Every other role has been taken, so I might play with Wrestling more. And/or cooking.

I've played in hardcore and casual settings from WC3 custom maps to very strict roleplaying communities like Shadowclan that span multiple games. Shadowclan itself is a hardcore roleplaying community that requires you to be in-character at all times. -What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect an in-depth roleplaying experience completely controlled by the community. I'm looking for a developed in-character experience. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I mostly play on the Shadowclan Minecraft server (http://www.shadowclan.org/), but it's not a roleplaying server. His parents were slain when they rode out in the name of the hunt to fight back the zombie hordes. Left with only his older brother to care for him, Gragarn’s diminutive size for an Orc caused him to realize that brawn would not be how he could contribute to the Orcish warmachine. So Gragarn turned to his studies. He began researching in depth the culture and architecture of the various races and the anatomies of their enemies. With each passing day Gragarn learns more and more about the weaknesses and strengths about the battlements of other nations and the people that man them. Gragarn recognizes however that few other Orcs have interest in his theories and research. Therefore he spends most of his time acting as a peon, building and mining and gathering for the Orcs. For now only his brother, a blademaster seeking to perfect his weapon skills, pays any heed to Gragarn’s research on where to strike an opponent for maximum effect. One day though Gragarn hopes to see all the Orcs using his knowledge to build impregnable structures without weaknesses, and fight with eerie precision and lethality on the battlefield. -Character Age: 22 -Character Appearance: Gragarn always has a solemn look on his face when not researching. He has a scar or two, but doesn't have the gruff of other experienced Orcs. He's smaller than the average Orc and doesn't quite have the same bulk as other Orcs. -Character Personality: Gragarn mostly keeps to himself as he knows most other orcs are not interested in his research. He doesn't trust other races very much, but can be persuaded by money to help his research. He's always looking for more information and performing more research to better the orcish warmachine. He's also extremely loyal and will follow any command unquestioningly by others who have proven their honor. He won't shy away from a fight, but prefers to be more creative. -Your ambitions: Gragarn wishes to understand the anatomies of the different humanoid creatures and their architecture to discover their flaws and weaknesses. He hopes to someday provide the orcish warmachine with enough knowledge that they will be able to conquer nations by simply targeting their weak points. -Can your character read or write?: Gragarn can do both. -Can your character mine?: Yes. -Are you a capable builder?: Yes. -Can you wield a sword?: Yes, but Gragarn is not the most proficient with it. -Enjoy Farming?: No, but will do it out of necessity. -Does your character have any special skills?: Gragarn always looks for multiple options, and more creative ways of dealing with a problem. While his parents always took joy in the killing and maiming of their enemies, Gragarn took pleasure in the study of the corpses. Even from a young age he would stay behind from the Horde and study the dead humans, elves, and the occasional dwarf. He would drag home trophies and study how their bodies functioned, and the effects of different herbs and weapons. As he got older and began to make his way through orc society he got more and more adventurous with his studies. The more 'traditional' orcs would make fun of him, but Gragarn always ignored them. Gragarn knew that his research would yield far better results than what the normal orcs would see. When he finally reached adulthood he began to use his knowledge with other teams of orcs. Although the other orcs would give him awkward stares when he actually aimed his axe at specific parts of his victim while the other orcs would swing wildly. A well-renowned blademaster named Blawharag was leading a raid one day that Gragarn chose to take part in. Gragarn decided to put his skills to the test and wander away from the group. Blawharag took notice as Gragarn disappeared away. His curiosity pushed him to follow. Blawharag was shocked to see as Gragarn didn't just shot away mindlessly, he actually aimed for specific locations on the humans. With each hit of Gragarn's axe the human's body would spasm and contort in ways Blawarag has never seen. Blawharag took note of this younger orc. Blawharag challenged Gragarn's adopted parents to honorable combat. He defeated them easily and took Gragarn under his wing.
