Your application has been denied for the following reasons: - Your answer for gender confuses me a little. Your character is 'clearly' male in their bio, but you claim they're 'both', but wishing to be male...? While wishing to be another gender is perfectly acceptable, in character and out of character, and does not infringe any of our rules, it would be preferable if you stated your character's birth gender here to reduce confusion. - Your answer for your character's age is unacceptable; your character 'must' have an age, everybody has one. Please give your character a suitable age. Also, Elves age at the same rate as Humans up until 20, at which point their body stops aging (they themselves, however, do not) until they reach around 1000. They hit puberty at the same time, but are infertile until they reach 100. - Your biography is rather nonsensical, too fas and too shortt; You keep moving on to new events without giving much detail on the previous one. Please give more details on all the events in your story to make them more interesting, such as training with his father, his mother's death and his father's death. I'm also a bit confused as to why your character suddenly decides to forgive his father's murderer in the same exact sentence he plans to seek revenge. Try to put a bit more detail in to the process of wanting revenge to later forgiving the murderer and wishing for a peaceful life instead. Furthermore, give plenty of details on how your character acquires skills/is taught things; Simply saying his father 'taught him how to make a bow' is extremely dull, has no detail and seems quite lazy. The same goes for training with a bow; 1-liners are not acceptable. Finally, expand on your bio by adding events that have had an impact on your character and made them in to who they are today. - You haven't included much server lore in your bio. Please include mention of at least 2 cities or villages from Aegis, Asulon, Elysium or Anthos, depending on your character's age, and mention of at least one of the other races. If you need help finding server lore, check out our official wiki here: http://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/ - You seem to have 'metagamed' in your bio; How did your character know their father fell in to a trap, 'then' was discovered dead by Wood Elves later? If this were from a third person perspective, it would have made sense, but your entire biography seems to be written from a first person stand point and therefor knowing this seems illogical. Please either change it so it makes sense or completely rewrite the biography from a third-person perspective so it makes sense (for future reference, writing in third person for things such as roleplay and stories will help avoid problems like this) - Your weakness isn't really a weakness; I can't see this putting your character at a serious disadvantage in any situation. Please give your character a weakness that could actually cause problems for them (doesn't necessarily have to be related to combat). Also, you should probably expand on your skills to include the hunting and fishing he has learned throughout his life. The out-of-character section of your application was very good, however, the in-character section needs a lot of work and some of your answers are very confusing. I think you've mistaken the gender question as asking for your own gender and the age question as asking how old your character's race is. These are both questions about 'your character', and they must have definite answers. Your biography also needs a fair amount of work. Your application has been denied for the following reasons: - Your powergaming definition is incorrect. Please research the correct definition and provide us with the answer in your own words. I'd recommend using this page to research definitions: http://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/Roleplaying - Your biography was a bit incoherant. In the very first sentance, your character's parents are already being attacked by the Scourge. Being attacked by the Scourge is fine, but not in the very first sentance; Before we've even gotten to know your character or his parents. It's also worth mentioning; Anthos is a realm, not a city. The whole part about the people thinking the basket was a cursed child was a little funny, but not exactly plausible; All these adults didn't think to just look in the basket that whole time? Also, Elves and Humans are quite easy to distinguish; Elves are usually fairly taller than Humans and have much longer, as well as pointed, ears. The last part of your bio is extremely confusing... Who exactly was this note from; His 'real' mother or adopted mother? If his real mother, how did his foster parents get the note if they never found his real parents? If his adoptive mother, how could she have written the note if she was being attacked...? Your biography really needs a lot of work to make more sense and explain itself rather than randomly throwing in nonsensical events. I will say, however, you did include sufficient lore. - Some of your skills need a bit more explanation. You can't just have skill in magic without having any explanation of it in your bio. Please add a few in-depth sentences explaining how he acquired his magic skills. Most of your application wasn't bad, but your biography was extremely confusing. Try to work on it so all of the events are well explained and make sense to the reader rather than throwing together a series of seemingly random events. For the most part though, not bad. Also, if you could, please give a short example of both metagaming and powergaming at the end of your definitions for each. If you need help researching their meanings, I'd recommend using this page: http://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/Roleplaying (Remember to always use your own words!). - Your bio is extremely confusing, and contains a lot of 'filling' (useless information). You didn't explain what happened with the guard very well. Why did your character's father give him a knife, why did the guard then kill his mother and why did his father restrain him to try and stop him from escaping? This just seems like a completely random event that makes absolutely no sense because you haven't explained anything about why it was happening. As for 'filling', the first third of your biography is nothing more than explaining everything your character's family did in a city one day. None of it was exactly important, nor interesting I'm afraid to say. Instead, tell us about some other interesting events that happened in your character's life that have had an impact on them. - Your biography didn't contain any server lore. You even had 2 chances to name some villages and cities in the first 2 sentences. Please add mention of at least 2 cities or villages from Anthos (especially your character's birthplace) and reference of at least one of the other races in Anthos.
