We don't go around just unlocking chests of banned players (we don't even have a way to locate or remove all of a specific players' locks). In the case of most maps, GMs will usually only unlock a locked door/chest/whatever if either An owner of the region within which the locked item resides (or a parent region) requests it orThe locked item has not been accessed in over a month (/cinfo for GMs tells us the last time it was accessed)However, due to the lack of regioning in the Fringe the rules on removing locks are currently rather... undefined. Currently I'll usually remove a lock if it hasn't been accessed in about a week and (in the case of chests) it doesn't contain too many valuables. If it does I'll ask the person to contact the owner of the chest and get them to remove it themselves. But I'll see if we can come up with a more concrete policy for lock removal in the Fringe. That aside, a permabanned player isn't going to have any use for their items anyway.
