What happened to Ariel and why was he/she replaced by the Creator?

lolwat. Aeriel is the caretaker for souls and whatnot. On the other hand, the Creator is part of the human faith and considered the one true God, with the Aenguls as his servants in said religion. Aeriel was never "replaced" by the Creator and still does things like being the patron for the Ascended.
