  1. (( This topic is to be replaced with the current Yemekar's Pick post as this old system will be used once more for Yemekar's Workforce. ))
  2. The Royal Proclamation of Yemekar's Pick -A dwarf in elegant royal clothing marked in the colors of the Kingdom of Urguan stands upon a stone podium in the grand halls of Kal'Azgoth. As Dwarves, Humans, Elves, and other races of the Kingdom of Urguan gather together to hear what the Dwarf has to say, he flips through papers readying what he is about to say- "To tae citizens 'o Kal'Azgoth! I proclaim tae words 'o High King T'orin! Today marks a day where a 'onorable worthy dwarf 'ill enter tae garbs 'o royalty under tae Kings Cooncil! Thoak Gold'and, Clanfather 'o tae Gold'ands 'ill be takin' up a position t'at 'e has once 'eld beck in tae old days! A position of great power, and a position of great burden! I 'ave come to announce t'at Thoak Gold'and 'ill be tae new Yemekar's Pick! May his skills 'o leadership, management, and architecture lead us to great glory in tae years tae come! All hail tae Grand King! Glory be to tae Brathmordakin!" (( Those who hold position with managing farms, mines, or anything resource gathering are to send a PM to Thoak. I will repost the Yemekar's Pick post soon ))
  3. A Dwarf comes across one of the posters, and tears one down for he can take back to the Goldhand manor. The Dwarf makes it back to Kal'Azgoth and makes his way into the manor and reads off the letter to Thoak. Thoak sits upon his throne brooding as he listens to his assistant read the letter to him. After reading the letter Thoak chuckles to himself "Har! Ye cannae just sell property 'o Urguan off like t'at! I dunnae knoo who tis git t'ink 'e is sellin' off wot belongs to tae kingdom 'o Urguan to benefit 'imself. Per'aps t'ere is more bone 'eaded beardlin's in tae kingdom afta' all, harhar!" Chuckles to himself even more as he thinks of the idea of selling Kal'Halla
  4. Thoak turns his head toward Zahrer, and begins to speak "Allyin' wit' such gits 'o tae Dagger-Ears again? Resistant groops? Ye ur askin' fer somethin' tae be flawed in tae next week! Tae Dagger-Ears dunnae 'ave tae 'onor tae fight, an' woold rat'er 'ave some ot'er poor sod tae de oot fer 'em. T'ey did tae same beck on Elysium an' Asulon. An' t'ose resistant groops be nothin' but mongrels, and savages lookin' fer an' opportunity to become rich from such a war, ur try tae gain a sense 'o nobility!" Thoak yet again quickly turns his head toward Dreek and begins to speak to him as well "Oot does nae matter if tae Teutons ur fightin' a war wit' a bloody ragtag groop 'o bandits. W'en tae Pig-Faced Emperor 'o Oren calls tae arms t'ey 'ill come an' fight along side wit' Oren, an' I be sure w'en tae war starts, most citizens 'ill sign up fer tae war an' eit'er join tae Teutons ur tae White Roses."
  5. Thoak turns his head toward Zahrer, and slowly shakes his head and soon adjusts his blindfold "Tae Kha cannae even defend t'eir own lands, an' t'eir numbers ur t'in. T'eir 'elp woold nae 'elp tae war efforts, but make 'em worse! T'ey called fer aid beck on t'ose cursed islands 'o Elysium an' t'ey w'ere crushed- nae crushed but slaughtered by tae Orcs, even wit' tae 'elp 'o tae Legion. We 'ave learned from tae past t'at tae Kha ur barely useful w'en oot comes tae war! I suggest ye choose who tae side wit' w'en tae time comes. Tae cats t'at cannae provide anythin', ur tae Pig-faced 'umans who controls almost all 'o Ant'os." Thoak, after speaking quickly turning his head over toward Dreek and begins to speak "An' ye speak 'o thinnin' oot Oren's rescources? Most 'o t'eir production ur deep in tae Nort' wit' tae White Roses, an' tae Teutons.. unless ye t'ink 'o rippin' throogh Salvus, an' t'eir entire lands tae get to 'em tae spread 'em 't'in', t'en I suggest t'inkin' 'o anoter' tactic, lad." Thoak sits back down in his stone chair staring blindly foward with a slight grin under his beard awaiting for the next Dwarf to speak
  6. Thoak raises from his seat staring blindly foward and adjusting his circlet "An' hoo' let tae pig-faced 'umans de t'is? Tae Legion, an' all 'o tae T'orin's cooncil turned a blind eye on ur allies, an' wot 'as been 'appenin' in on Ant'os. We were also allies wit' tae Dagger-Ears, an' we allooed Oren tae take 'em ova', an' expand t'ey borders. We did nae attempt tae send an' ambassador 'o sorts to Oren tae deal wit' tis, instead we ignored oot, an' noo Oren is oot ur borders an' all 'o ye fear 'o war wit' 'em, an' tae be 'onest, we dunnae 'ave enoogh military strength to fight tae numbers 'o 'em. Tae Legion seems tae be a bloody mess, an' wot ot'er military de we 'ave instead 'o bloody militia men from tae 'olds? We woold be taken by Oren in an' Elven Week if t'ey ur to attempt to take ur lands!"
  7. Thoak turns his head toward the Jarl of Kal'Halla and speaks "Why de ye worry 'boot tae pig-face 'umans? T'ey ur allies until tae blood 'o ur kin is spilled, an' tae more ye speak ill 'o 'em tae more likely t'ey ur t'ey pillage ye 'precious' 'old. Ye gits worry 'boot somethin' t'at is nae a t'reat to us noo. If ye fear goin' tae war wit' 'em, t'en.." Thoak turns his head toward the acting king Dreek "T'en ye, an' ye so called 'cooncil' can make ur alliance stronger, an' send an' ambassador 'o sorts to Oren tae speak to tis new pig-face Emporer, an' tae pig-faced 'umans instead 'o cooerin' like bloody gits, an' worryin' 'boot a bloody fight."
  8. Thoak folds his arms nodding toward Telchar in agreement "T'ese 'olds, ur Kal''Alla oot least 'ave been causing nae anythin' but trooble. Vaer'aven was 'ome to tae rebels, an' hoo knoos wot Kastoria, ur Brom'kah coold be keepin' 'idden. An' I 'ave nae 'eard t'ese Jarls speak once in t'ese 'alls. I suggest collaspin' some 'o t'ese pointless 'olds as t'ey just waste space in ur lands, an' abandon 'olds t'at ur disconnected tae us, an' per'aps citizens 'o t'ose 'olds 'ill live in t'ese barren 'olds such as Kastoria, an' Brom'kah.. ur our barren 'alls oot t'at."
  9. Thoak turns his head toward Dreek "T'ey provide nae anythin' but foods, an' t'ey ur just takin' up space on one side 'o tae moontain slope. I dunnae see much point in 'em."
  10. Thoak slams his fist upon the stone arm of his chair and begins to speak with a rather gravely pitched tone "Tae only reason tae talk 'o greenskin scum came up, is because t'at I was suggestin' movin' one 'o tae 'olds upon tae border between tae Greenskin's borders tae protect us incase 'o an' attack. Right noo I see nae much use fer tae 'olds rat'er t'an producin' w'eat, an' bloody surface dwellers. An' if we move a 'old along tae road, we coold tax travelers hoo' wish tae enter tae greenskin lands." Thoak turns over from his chair, and spits upon the stone and the tone of his voice returns to a normal pitch rather than gravely "An' fer Oren, most 'o t'ose pig-faced 'umans 'ate ur race, an' woold more t'an likely take a shite on ur very stone in t'ese 'alls. T'ey Teutonic Order I be sure 'ated us, an' supported t'ose Greenskin bastards beck on tae lands 'o Asulon, an' tae island 'o Elsyium. T'ey called us 'Mutants', and slaughtered ur kin, an' some 'o t'ose 'ooses t'at ur part 'o Oren ur nae anythin' but looters, an' savages. If ye worry 'boot Oren, t'en I suggest movin' a 'old like tae Brom'kah, ur Kastoria near tae rivers on tae main road tae keep us safe from an' attack by 'em."
  11. Thoak folds his arms across his chest, and sighs at the dwarf, and turns his head toward him and beings to speak "Aye, an' t'at was wot t'ey Orcs stated before tae T'ird Great Orcish War, an' after. I woold nae give a secoond chance wit' t'ose greenskin bastards. T'ey eat ur kin, an' t'ey drink tae blood 'o ur kin, an' ancestors. T'orin, an' 'is cooncil shoold be ashamed fer makin' a treaty wit' such savages."
  12. Thoak raises an eyebrow for a moment at the remarks from Dreek, and fondles his beard slightly adjusting his golden circlet. "T'en t'ey must 'o just crawled oot 'o under a rock. Nae once 'ave I seen 'em walkin' freely throogh tae streets 'o t'eir 'olds. An' wot use is t'eir 'olds? Producin' wheat? T'at is all t'at t'ey ur good fer. T'eir location is nae much defendable, an' a army 'o sorts coold just march past t'eir 'old on tae main road, an' be oot tae gates. An' I 'ave yet tae de business wit' t'eir so called 'population' t'at ye go on 'boot as t'ey must be ghosts, I just must be at t'ose 'olds at tae wrong time 'o tae day kind 'o strange. Thoak turns his head over toward the voice speaking of the rivers. "Ye must 'o crawled oot from under a rock as 'ell. A river 'ill nae defend against rampagin' orcs, ur jungle savages oot t'at. Also ye must be raised by bloody dagger ears tae make such a truce wit' tae Orcs, beardlin'. Thoak moves his head back toward Dreek, and speaks T'ey Orcs ur nae anythin' but savages, an' marauders an' dunnae deserve such a truce wit' tae Kingdom 'o Urguan. Tae bone'ead hoo made such a treaty shoold be casted into tae Deeproads, an' neva' see tae light 'o day."
  13. =Thoak Goldhand, Clanfather of the Goldhands= Thoak leans back in his stone chair staring blindly foward, and adjusting his blindfold every so often. Dolgan, his assistant looks over the large map, and describes the map in great detail to Thoak. After describing the shear size of the Dwarven territories, Thoak sighs slightly, and begins to brood in his chair, playing with his golden braids as he does so. "Hrmm, oot soonds tae me t'at ur borders ur very large. Almost as large as tae borders 'o tae Oren 'umans, hooever tae current settlements in ur lands ur weak, an' almost more barren t'an tae city ootself.. like Kastoria, ur Brom'kah. An' t'ey ur very close together as 'ell an' serve little to tae Kingdom 'o Urguan. I suggest demolishin' t'ose toons, an' move 'em else where.. like tae shores t'at Dolgan described tae me, ur on tae border 'o tae savage greenskins tae keep us safe from an' invasion 'o sorts."
  14. Thoak Goldhand stands among the crowd of the Dwarves with his assistant Dolgan at his side. Thoak stares blindly as he hears the announcement made, and the celebration soon after and mutters for only those around him can hear "Bah, T'orin calls tis a victory 'o sorts. T'ere was barely blood spilled durin' tis so called "Rebellion", an' tis Duregar lad is more 'onorless fer givin' up such a fight after makin' such a bloody reckless flee tae Vare'aven... bloody cooard." Thoak folds his arms staring blindly foward shaking his head as the golden bands of his beard that are braiding the his hairs jingle together.
  15. (( Well wouldn't the one who got killed assume he got his things stolen from a guy he set the trade up with? I mean, if I got knocked out and didn't remember anything of the event but was missing everything I had I would surely assume that something happened with the trade and that most likely it was a setup of sorts. ))
  16. Thoak mutters under his breath for a moment, and stares blindly forward "Bah, wot 'appens in tae Elven lands stay in tae elven lands. Tae crimes t'at 'appen t'ere 'ave nae meanin' in ur 'alls, even if oot was somethin' such as an' assassination. Wot kind 'o a King, an' Cooncil ur ye if ye ur bendin' ye be'inds to such gits 'o tae daggerears, eh?"
  17. Thoak sits upon his crude thrown in the Clanhall of the Goldhands. After receiving the parchment of paper, he reads over it and soon crumbles it up in his hands and tosses it upon the stone floor of the Clanhall. "Pah, bloody Grandaxes seem tae be takin' ova' much 'o tae Kingdom 'o Urguan. Good fer nothin' lots t'ey ur." Thoak mumbles on to himself about Grandaxes.
  18. Name: Thoak Goldhand Place an X besides the name of the candidate you wish to vote for: - Thorin Grandaxe - Dreek Stormhammer -Davern Frostbeard ------------------------------------------------------ Lettering is scribbled underneath the names listed "All because these Dwarves are known throughout the Kingdom does not mean they are worthy, or prepared for such garbs of royalty, and the burdens of leading such a Kingdom of Urguan"
  19. Thoak sits in his manor, or rather the Goldhand's Clanhall alone. Soon later he hears word of Omithiel's pilgrimage to the mountains, and the talk of a new king being elected. Thoak soon brings his hand to his forehead in a slight facepalm in frustration. "Bah, true kings shoold nae be nominated ur 'elected', rat'er 'o true blood." Thoak leans over and spits beside his throne in the manor, and returns to his previous pose and continues talking to himself. "Tae Urguan nation 'ill fall soon enoogh wit' tae Kings swappin' t'rones like nae anythin'."
  20. Welcome back to the clan Travista. Glad to see you back and just in time for Anthos. I also like to announce that we have purchased the biggest clan hall in the city of Kal'Azgoth for 8,000 Mina. It was a fierce, and fast competition when we heard of the Ironguts wishing to purchase it, but we still came out on top and bought the clan hall. The clan hill will soon be going under renovations, so please do not move out of your temporary homes just yet as we will be redoing the rooms inside the clan hall to fit our needs, and several other things.
  21. Thoak mutters to himself in disgust after hearing the announcement made by Omithiel "Nae even been a year on t'ese new lands, an' we ur preparin' tae Legion fer war already. A bloody waste 'o mina, an' good metals. When coold t'ere be a day when we ur nae in conflict."
  22. "'Ello me kin 'o tae Gold'ands! As most 'o ye knoo' we 'ave landed on tae new lands, an' settling in very slowly. If ye lads wis' tae knoo where we ur residin', t'en we ur residin' in tae Great 'alls of Kal'Azgoth. Speak to tae King Omithiel to get a temporary room tae sleep in. I also like tae welcome beck Dunhagen, and Delios Goldhand. Long kinsmen of tae Gold'ands, an' honorable kinsmen as well."
  23. Thoak makes his way through the Dwarven Halls of Kalos as he hears the voice of Hydrose. Soon Thoak is at the entrance of the hold, and makes his way toward him. Thoak then folds his arms. "Wot be 'o oot lad. Wot de ye wish 'o tae Gold'ands tae meet?"
  24. He can make a clan. It just won't be under the Urguan Nation, or if it is many Dwarves SHOULD be weary of the clan for awhile until they gain trust, and honor.
