  1. (( Well I guess everyone will just get booted from their home, and their items taken. On a serious note however, this system of taxation will be carried over to 4.0, and this is to simply see how it works within the Dwarven Community, and that is if it can even be used due to down time, and the limited time on Thales. If anything, the minas will just be replaced with materials that will be taken as tax, and used for the city we have now. ))
  2. -OBSOLETE- =-Taxation of Kal’Klad-= -Est: 16th of Snow’s Maiden, 1475- With the hard times ahead within the Kingdom of Urguan, by order of Grand King Midgor Ireheart, and Grand Merchant Thoak Goldhand in order to revive the economy within the Kingdom, has declared a reimplementation of ‘Tax’. This tax is to get trade between other kingdoms flowing, as well as funding projects for the betterment of the kingdom, and assured payment for the services of the Legion. Remember that taxes within the kingdom are for your protection, and the privilege of living within the protection of the kingdom, otherwise without it, there would be no kingdom. ___________________________________________________ -How to pay your taxes- Paying your taxes within the kingdom are simple and easy. Adopted and modified; presented to the kingdom by Kwint Irongut, this system has proven to be impregnable. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To find the taxation office within Kal’Klad, simply walk through the main gate of the hold, and take a right. There should be a small entrance: After entering the taxation office, simply approach the dwarf at the desk, Vakun, and purchase the amount of taxation notes you owe to the kingdom: Note Prices: 5 Mina Each After purchasing your taxation notes, turn back and find the taxation room. It should be to your right when facing the entrance of the taxation office from the desk: Head down the stairs, and enter the taxation room. Find your plot number and simply place the taxation notes into the box: - If you do not pay your taxes on time, then you will receive dirt in your chest until you pay off the taxes. If the dirt reaches a certain amount then your home, and possessions will be taken to pay off your debt to the kingdom - Plot Taxation pricing goes as followed: Company Plots: 25 Mina Company Fields: 100 Mina per Field Clan Holds: 15 Mina Outside Plots: 10 Mina Kal’Klad Plots: 5 Mina - If you are not able to pay off your taxes due to travel, or no mina, then write a letter to the Grand Merchant (Via PM, or Ingame letter) and he will work out something for you! -Taxation begins every Second Elven Day (Monday), and ends on the Sixth Elven Day (Friday) (Taxation will begin July 28th, or extended to August 4th due to server maintenance)
  3. Application: ((MC Name: Thoak_Sludgefist)) Name [First & Clan]: Thoak Goldhand How many Stone Hours will you be available each Stone day?: Seven Stone Hours per Stone day Why do you wish to become the Bak'Bergukli?: To uphold the honor of the name 'Goldhand Clan', and their known prosperous wealth within the Kingdom of Urguan If you become Bak'Bergukli what would you do?: Reform the merchants guild completely, and rid the flawed system of it that has plagued the kingdom for decades (I.E the merchants guild that never has done really much in the past) If you become Bak'Bergukli what is your first priority?: To bring back the organized method of taxation that Kwint Irongut introduced to the Kingdom of Urguan back in The Fringe ( http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/109344-urguans-new-tax-system/?hl=taxation ) Upon becoming the Bak'Bergukli will you sign a Blood Oath?: Of course. Finally, a Dreg within the Dwarvish Realm who owns property within the capital city claims he has paid his taxes but there is not recorded evidence of this occurring. They proceed to claim that the collection of the Kingdom's taxes infringes on their Dwarvish Rights, what will you do?: Accuse the Dreg of lying to the Grand Merchant, telling him that no records show of him paying the taxation. If he persists that he paid the tax, then threaten him, reminding him of his lowly position as a Dreg. If he does not pay the tax, then demand his property, otherwise accuse him of tax evasion and take his property by force, as well as sending him to the depths of Dungrim where he will be judged for his crimes against the kingdom.

  9. "T'orin does nae deserve tae position 'o Paragon. 'E may 'ave made tae Kingdom a great pooer, hooeva' 'e broke tae system 'o government, an' put 'ur kin throogh long an' 'ard 'ardships t'at still echo to tis day."
  10. Thoak exhales deeply underneath his mask as he listens to the three talk, turning his heard toward Zezimus, then to Gamle, and then to Hiebe. After adjusting himself slightly in his seat before speaking, his words drawn out, and his breathing slightly more heavier as he continues his words "Aye, somewot 'o a pleasure tae come all tis way... tae I'trune. Ye bring up 'o tis cooncil 'o clans.. t'at was suggested long ago, an' addin' .. anot'er cooncil. I 'onestly dunnae t'ink we need anot'er cooncil unless ye, Grandaxe remove one 'o tae existin' cooncils like 'Iebe suggested fer 'oot just takes up.. more space within' tae kingdom. As fer tis conflict ye be speakin' 'boot.. t'ere be none. Tae only conflict was tae.. stupidity 'o tae previoos King an' Lords, an' t'eir brash decisions tae go.. into a war, hooeva'.. t'at is be'ind us. Tae only conflicts t'at exist 'ur petty quarrels an' arguements 'o hoo'.. tis kingdom shoold be ran. As fer Kal'Garud, t'ere is ... nae need tae remove somethin' t'at 'as already been.. built.. from tae groond up. 'oot be also good tae keep away from It'run from time tae time.. tae keep away.. from tae.. hoo' ye say.. "petty rabble" wit'in' t'ere." Thoak nods slightly, adjusting his mask.
  11. *Thoak receives the letter at Kal'Garud and nods slightly after someone nearby reads it off to him. Thoak soon makes his way to the Kal'Garud Keep to pack some travel rations, and a dagger, as well as dawning on robes before making his way toward Kal'Ithrun.*

  15. ((Its nothing like Kralta lol, just the style was adopted while Oren occupied the neighboring lands when the war was going on. ))
  16. Sadly I am one of those people who do complain and if I could take action I would, sadly when I do people freak out and have a conniption. Also, I have never said anything to Kowa that was considered 'not nice', or to any dwarves at all, besides my side ramblings in private skype chats.
  17. -Accepted- Welcome to the Clan
  18. (( Lol just to clear some things up, I'm not mad at all, just messing around at the moment. I am actually happy that the village is under the Urguan Kingdom as it should have been in the beginning. Its just that its a shame to see so much ooc problems occur due to claiming a small piece of land and such, but owell. As for the whole noting part Kowa, it was in no way me trying to be aggressive towards you at all or the kingdom, it was to note the flaws in posts and such, rather than letting them slide and making the kingdom look like a box of idiots that other kingdoms think we are in hopes to make our posts look.. more professional. Also you say who cares if its Kal or not? Well certain people do and RP wise it doesn't make sense for it to be 'kal' because its not a city like Ithrun, or Azgoth. If anything, you should just throw out the whole dwarven language if its not going to be followed. ))
  19. -Thoak would continue to note that Thoak is not being negative, just pointing out some flaws, and is rather reassured that the Kingdom of Urguan will come to his aid when the big bad humans start tearing down Dol'Garud. Thoak would also add to the note that it is good to follow lore and such rather than just adding names and such were they don't belong.-
  20. Thoak would note that 'Kal' means city in dwarven tongue, and that Dol'Garud is only a village and not a city, thus making the term 'Kal'Garud' false, and misleading
  21. (( Its hard to unify ourselves who are serious about our roleplay with those who just wish to troll and cause problems. Honestly, if those living in the kingdom want to pull themselves back together to a more serious state then we might consider moving everything back to Ithrun, or whatever the city will be in 4.0, but only if leadership and playerbase wants to pull their act together. I am sorry for banging on the kingdom, and it isn't everyone within the kingdom who acts like a total idiot or troll, but it has come to a point where we who are serious are just tired of it and want something else, and more serious. ))
