Gulroid, or zuluman111 might be able to help you with making an application for the clan. He knows much more about the clan than I do and will be able to help you out better than I can. Just send a message to zuluman111 on the forums

The Removal Of Dol’Garud
Serf replied to xSPULLERx's topic in Thales and the Fringe Roleplay Archive
-Thoak, talking to a fellow Irongut within Dol'Garud Keep who would be writing down what seems to be a presentation to the king asking him for Dol'Garud to be part of the Urguan Kingdom stops after hearing about Indago's request. After reading Indago's request Thoak chuckles slightly to himself before muttering under his breath- "Wot a foolish king. Per'aps we shoold just 'ave Oren take ova' 'ur lands like t'ey did to Adunia an' Vaer'aven. Better tae be under someone who knoo's hoo' tae properly run a kingdom, rat'er t'en some beardlin' fool an' 'is lords who worship false 'eretical gods. So much fer askin' tis bloody 'Grand' King tae be part 'o t'eir kingdom. Foolish mistake fer tae Urguan Kingdom.." -Thoak would simply grab ahold of the presentation from the Irongut and rip it in half before tossing it into the nearby brazier.- -

-Thoak grunts under his breath for a moment- "I 'ave warned t'ose 'o Urguan 'o t'eir failures, an' 'ave pointed t'em 'oot to tae kinsmen 'o Urguan, hooeva' t'ey ignored me, an' called me a traitor. Per'aps noo' t'ey will realize t'eir mistakes an' per'aps 'eed tae words 'o a wise elder."

Conclave Vs. Drawf Antag/antag Feedback
Serf replied to MetaSolaray's topic in News & Announcements Archive
I believe the issue really is, is that the people playing as the antag was most likely "Killing to win" rather than hitting people a couple of times and running off. Quite easily can someone or anyone kill someone in two blows with this plugin if they are killing to win, but otherwise it should have gone much like the San'Orka event. I played as one of the Morphs and only hit people 1-2 times before lumbering off and everything was cool, same with the zombie pigmen, there was much zombie pigmen, but since the players formed together they quite easily fought through them. As for no broadcasts, ET have no access to broadcasts whatsoever and that only GMs and Admins. There has been much talk about getting rid of broadcasts because its 'unimmersive' so I guess that could be the reasoning behind no broadcast at all. -

Thoak sighs slightly before sending his letter of initiation to Aldal "'Oot is time tae pay me respects to tae Brathmordakin in t'ese dark times 'o war." Whut beh yehr name?- Thoak Goldhand 'Ow active are yeh in our Kingdom? ((How long you are online each day/week))- Although my work is not shown in the kingdom, its shown elsewhere in Anthos in other kingdoms, however I believe that it is time to come back to the lands to put those kinsmen of the Kingdom of Urguan onto the correct path of worship. (Probably 5-6 hours on weekdays, around 10-16 on weekends) Whut god do yeh worship deh most? (( Who is your patron god? Please read up on the relevant information under "The Brathmordakin".))- Armakak, Ograhad, and Grimdugan, however all of the Brathmordakin themselves deserve proper worship.- 24 replies

Dwarven Characteristics (Ooc)
Serf replied to Zezimus's topic in Thales and the Fringe Roleplay Archive
Never really liked the "Stark Law" due to mostly everyone just breaking it and nobody enforcing it because there was just too much of it happening. Honestly there is no real way to stop the trolls, or generally 'bad roleplayers' unless they are willing to sit down and follow what is thrown at them. If everyone follows the guidelines (which isn't possible) then we are good, if not then the only thing we can do as a community is to make the environment more friendly for the race and hope people adapt to it. Also it isn't really the wars, but the attitudes and behavior of those in the race. Most times I really just see dwarves on for pvp and nothing else. Over the last few weeks I have went to Kal'Ithrun to find either 1 or none there. Its a shame that people seem to not be really enthusiastic on roleplaying other than just getting on for battles and nothing else. -
Dwarven Characteristics (Ooc)

I just hope that this won't drive every dwarf to be the same, paper cut out, flat character that only follows the basis of this. Overall pretty nice post. -
Thoak sighs deeply, moving his head toward the voice of Wulgar before adjusting his blindfold "It is nae me job tae shoo' ye a peaceful resolve, but fer ye kinsmen tae seek 'oot out. I can tell ye tis t'at tae Barons an' Coonts 'o Oren 'ur tired 'o war an' wish tae stop 'oot, but ye 'onestly t'ink t'at kidnappin' a queen 'ill resolve anythin'? 'Einrick an' Oren 'as nae intentions tae tear yer 'foundations' apart, but tae rid t'ose Kings an' Cooncil t'at act in a way t'at is dis'onorable, an' a embarrassment to tae kingdom. Also 'oot is ye who 'ur ignorant lad. Ye 'onestly t'ink t'at I blinded fer life, an' old can fight in a war? Tae Gold'ands fought in tae past fer tae Kingdom beck in Asulon w'en tae cause was just, but noo' I believe t'at tis war is somethin' different. A fool's war, hooeva' my words cannae change ye thooghts. If ye truly believe t'at 'onor is found on tae battlefield t'en ye 'ur mistaken."
-
"I did nae abandon me kinsmen, but simply left tae lands tae improve t'ose relationships wit' 'Einrick an' 'is people t'at ye seemed tae 'ave destroyed due to ye reckless bloodlust an' warmongerin'. Many times t'ere was an option fer peace but ye lads ignored it, damnin' yeself into eternal war, an' deat'. T'ere is nae turnin' beck fer tae damage ye 'ave done, an' dunnnae expect us tae aid any 'o ye gits fer 'oot was ye, an' t'ose 'o kinsmen 'o Kal'Ithrun who foolishly decided t'at war is tae only way 'oot 'o t'ings."
-
"We dunnae fight alongside tae dis'onorable. Even t'ough ye enemies fight lowly does nae mean t'at 'ur kinsmen 'ave tae. Great shame."

It is good to see another Goldhand arise.

Assuming that they stick with the original plan of the city, the houses were suppose to be very small with some houses being slightly bigger and costing more minas. This would give a reason for Dwarves to work more and harder to strive for getting that bigger house.

Warclaim- Dwarven Front And Surrounding Area
Serf replied to SirSnowMan's topic in Anthos Roleplay Archive
Word reaches Thoak and the Goldhands within the small town of Schattenburg "'Boot bloody time King 'Einrick decided tae make 'is move." -
There shouldn't be really any clan halls. The aim was for this build is to try and put people in actual housing instead of living in their own clan hall. If Clan halls are to be made then it should only hold the purpose of storage for the clan, and a meeting area.
-
No quartz, or netherbrick. Makes the place look rather evil, or just bad blocks to work with in general.
-
Be sure to fill out the complete application at the bottom of the Goldhand Clan thread. Also be sure to contact one of the Goldhands to see if they are willing to have you as a son for you can be born into the clan, otherwise you will have to be blood bonded into the clan.

The Defeat At Thoringrad
Serf replied to Cpt_Noobman's topic in Thales and the Fringe Roleplay Archive
Within the small town of Schattenburg, Thoak and what is left of the Goldhands recieve word of the defeat and chuckle slightly to themselves while having a small feast of sorts. "We 'ave warned tae fools 'o Urguan t'at tae Brathmordakin frown upon t'em, an' noo' t'ey fight fer t'eir lives as t'ose 'o Oren smash throogh t'eir lands layin' waste. 'O course tae Brathmordakin's work 'o punishin' tae 'eretics fer wot t'ey 'ave done. Very foolish as well tae start a war wit' tae biggest race while t'eir is so few 'o 'em." -
4.0 Dwarf Capital Planning/ideas ((Ooc))
Serf replied to xSPULLERx's topic in Anthos Roleplay Archive
Yep, if we aren't living in snowy lands.. which I hope we are not then we could probably establish some farms outside of the main city for Yemekar's Pick to control to get food for the Kingdom. I do not think that we should use the system of mushrooms in a cave because mushroom stew doesn't stack and isn't efficient enough to keep us going. Also another thing is, is that we should have someone distributing food to new dwarves as they come in, because I know that one of the main problems with Kal'Azgoth is that Blacklight was used but the food was hoarded and never given out. As for prebuilding, I know this has been an issue considering players enjoy seeing progression and something new however from a builders prospective its a pain in the ass, especially in survival. Also it really depends on the builders because I myself hate working/building something and then somebody else adds onto it, or builds something next to it that is of lower quality that takes away from the build completely. Also we could end up with another Kal'Urguan were we get lazy and just start building with straight cobblestone, however I do agree that most of the city shouldn't be prebuild because it gives the dwarves something to work for, and gives jobs for those such as mining out areas etc. Also I don't get the idea of building something that can change, unless you mean by making something very plain with no detail or varying blocks. If we go with this idea then I don't see the point really in building anything at all that will be prebuilt.
