Listen to this while reading. A stylised artist's rendition of the savage Kargul'Agrak, and his desert hawk, Fethaz... A screenshot of my new skin... And the magic card equivalent of Kargul as a Legendary Creature... This is for everyone who's ever fought me, or wants to, and fits with my character's backstory. GLORY TO THE LAUGHING SKULL CLAN! - _Grim1_, an orc of the to-be city of Shalatuwar, once lost but never forgotten. P.S. Feel free to post here, I don't mind. Opinions, comments, even thumbs up or down, whatever you wish. This is a good server, and I intend to be around for a while. P.P.S. Pictures will be taken down if requested.

I support this. Anyone who's ever fought Kargul would know that he's a vicious fighter but any kind of swordplay experience and/or long-term training trumps him greatly, for example. So yeah, I support this, +1 etc. It's a great guide and hopefully people pay a lot of attention to it. - _Grim1_

Letter Of Question To The People-Brotherhood
_Grim1_ replied to Ctc9592's topic in Anthos Roleplay Archive
Kargul'Agrak growls loudly and then scrawls on each and every poster he can find: "Ztup. Poztin deze. Ur mi flat lat. Hunt lat, agh flat lat." As always, a white skull emblem is daubed upon each poster underneath the messy scrawl. -
"Skah." is scribbled on this new note, along with an emblem of a laughing skull in white.
-
"Lat zteelin frum mi biznuzz. Ib lat zmurt, lat ztup. Ib nub, mi flat lat liek lat idz azh ob da monztaz lat huntz. Gruk?" a crude note is scrawled in the orcish tongue beneath the poster in Salvus, alongside an emblem of a laughing skull daubed in white paint.

A Man Walks Up To You With Stripped Orange Pelt In Hand.

"Lat flat da Kha latzelf?" Kargul growls, obviously disapproving of anyone but an orc hunting and skinning Kha. -
Letter Of Question To The People-Brotherhood

*walks up to the letter and reads it, taking a long time because he can't read your barbaric language very well. "Diz blahin bowd albai? Coz dey bin flatn urukz, tuu." *scrawls a laughing skull emblem in white paint on the note, smiling grimly. "Ztuupid shara." -
Kargul stares at the collection of notes. "Zo...dyd dey wund a assazin ur nub?" Kargul shrugs, scrawling a crude emblem of a laughing orc skull near the poster and the words 'Mi du id fur Dubdubety minas. Cheep.'

A crudely-made wooden sign is stuck into the dirt ground near the cloudwater bridge. It reads, in smatterings of orcish blah and broken common: Awl latz hooz wund a trayalblayza, a skowt, ur a hunta, latz fynd mi. Mi Kargul, uruk ob da war uzg, agh mi bi arownd da norf landz. Mi explorin, zo latz miyt nub fynd mi. A list of services is also provided, with appropriate costs: Skowt an ayreah fur h' minas Mi cleyah a trayl fur latz fur h' minas, agh compunzashun ib mi needz klomp fings Mi guyed latz froo da wildanuss, wheyrebah latz wunna gu. Latz kan haggul da priyz wid mi Mi hunt fur latz tuu, ib latz pay mi. [OOC] Please note that I am currently unable to acquire leather, wool, or meat easily through hunting, as passive mob spawns appear to be massively decreased outside of the wilds. Discuss it with me if you're still determined. Hunting, at the moment, includes: for arrows, rotten flesh, spider eyes, string and bones. Spider eyes at least, can be used as ingredients, AFAIK, so that should generate at least some interest from alchemists who don't want to risk their lives hunting giant spiders.

Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: _Grim1_ How old are you?: 16 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Australia, Perth. +8.00 GMT. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I do, and often find myself enforcing that grip on my friends or people around me. I don't like improper spelling/grammar. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Enjoys roleplay, plays many pen-and-paper RPGs, blonde, tall, skinny. Likes the vanilla survival mode of minecraft, dislikes crappy modded servers with building restrictions. Likes the idea of this server. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: On weekdays, something like 2-3 hours. On weekends, as long as all night or as short as an hour (but probably the former). What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Acting entirely as a fictional character rather than as myself, manifesting their mannerisms, appearance/voice/personality, knowing only what they know, etc. Not metagaming. Essentially, pretending you are a character you or others have created, immersing yourself completely. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: Much dungeons and dragons experience, both as player and as DM. Other roleplaying forums, including TheTyranidHive.Proboards.com. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: The use of out-of-character information to influence an in-character decision, or determining the way their character acts using external information to their character's advantage. For example, if a seasoned player and a new player are in a game, and encounter a monster that neither of their characters have ever faced before. However, if the seasoned player has fought one of these monsters before with a different character, and imports or uses that knowledge with the current character, that is metagaming. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: When a player powergames in a RP, they (usually over the chat or forum) control another person's character as well as their own. An example of this would be "Simon the Red lunges forward, grabbing Powergear's head and snapping his neck, killing him instantly" assuming Simon the Red and Powergear are both player characters. The example above gives Powergear no chance to avoid Simon the Red 'killing' him, which is powergaming. A better way to attempt it would be "Simon the Red lunges forward, attempting to grab ahold of Powergear and break his neck" but even that is still powergaming, a little. Another meaning of the term, is when a person makes their character do things that said character would find impossible to pull off. Say, if Powergear is a gnomish rogue, he can't state that his character "leaps one hundred feet into the air and crushes everybody instantly with a word of power". For starters, it's unlikely a rogue would possess/be able to use a word of power, and secondly I doubt any kind of player character, no matter how tough, could leap 100ft into the air. Thus, it is powergaming. What do you expect this server will be like?: Fun, probably a little (a lot) strict, but fun overall. I enjoy the chance to roleplay with others of a similar mindset, so it will hopefully be a challenging, fun and lasting experience for me. I have read many of the guides and much of the lore, and I think I now know most of the acts that could cause offence, like meta-gaming etc. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Not too many, but often I was forced to leave due to previous intermittent internet connection. Fixed now. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have and I do. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I promise to abide by the rules as they are written or dictated by an admin/op. How did you hear about us?: Through a friend, whom I watched playing for quite a while before deciding to join myself. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: I have not. In-Character: Character Name: Adramelech. What Race are you?: Orc. What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): N/A Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Adramelech grew up in the mines, with no knowledge of his parents or tribe, as a slave, mining precious minerals for a small band of thieves and slavers. He soon overshadowed the other slaves, due to his naturally-immense size--as an orc of seventeen years, he now stands at approximately eight feet and seven inches--and was soon considered more useful than most by his captors. At age fifteen and a half, he and several other slaves overpowered their guards and managed to escape the mines, Adramelech using his trusty pickaxe as a weapon. Before his escape, Adramelech had no name to speak of. The slavers simply called him 'orc'. When the slaves fought their way to freedom, those who escaped named him Adramelech--which meant 'demon of the mines' in the local tongue. For a year and a half, Adramelech wandered in the wilderness, living off the land and honing his hunting skills until finally he made his way to the orcish war-nation of Krugmar. Adramelech stands at eight feet and seven inches, and is seventeen. He fights best with a pickaxe, and knows much about the different types of metal and how best to mine them. He is also a proficient hunter. Being young, Adramelech has not yet acquired many battle scars. He is a black-skinned orc, with big tusks and piercing yellow eyes. He prefers to fight first and ask questions later but knows when to charge in screaming, and when to talk things out. What is your Character's ambitions?: To forge a new life and history for himself, to finally regain his clan name and to bring that name to glory, whether through mastery of combat or honourable death in war. Ultimately, to be remembered as someone great. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Pickaxe, due to his slave past. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Mining, and using the natural rythyms of the pickaxe to craft the implement into a deadly weapon of war. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): Other Information about your Character: Adramelech is a black-skinned orc, the pigments in his skin dark because of the lack of sunlight in the slaver mines of his youth. Bright sunlight tends to hurt his eyes, but slowly he is becoming accustomed to it. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? At first, Adramelech is wary. For all he knows, the halfling could be a thief or villain him/herself, beset upon by the city guard. Finally, however, the bloodlust becomes overpowering and Adramelech charges into the fight, swinging his pickaxe and acting upon his initial impression of an innocent halfling being robbed. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Adramelech favours simplicity over fanciness, and so his first glance at the shopkeeper is a disapproving one. However, the man does not seem to be hostile, and so Adramelech responds with a traditional orc greeting--"Ug!"--and proceeds to browse the merchant's wares. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Adramelech, seeing the hut, looks around to check that no-one is watching, and that the owner of the hut--if they still live--is not around, then ducks inside, taking what he needs, but leaving the sword and other basic supplies behind, considering robbing a person of their weapon to be an offence of the highest order. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Adramelech walks slowly up to the campsite, wary of the strangers, but when they greet him amicably, he responds in kind. "Ug!" he says, "Got any food?". Hopefully his words will prevail upon their presumed decency, and they will spare him some food. If not, then he'll have to move on and go hungry. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Eager for any kind of fight--especially one that doesn't appear to be breaking any laws--Adramelech volunteers, shouting enthusiastically in orcish. "Let's 'unt sum quikspawn!" he shouts, going with the town guard to fight the bandits, for the sheer thrill of combat. The reward is just an added bonus.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: First looking around to see that the owner is not around, Adramelech pockets the extra supplies. They might come in handy some day. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? In the typical orcish fashion--"Ug!"--and ask for food. If denied, probably fly into a rage and attack the traders. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: "Dabu! Let's 'unt sum quikspawn!" Adramelech shouts enthusiastically. Well, let's hope this gets accepted. This server looks to be enjoyable, and serious about its roleplay. I like that.
