  3. MC Name: xlr20ice ______________________ RP Name: Pythagorix Steelhand How skilled are you in regards to smithing? I have previously worked for the Lenblades, and mercenary group. There, I crafted everything from swords to axes to fine metalwork, such as statues and small trinkets. How skilled are you with your weapon of choice? After the Lenblades broke up, I was tasked with being a bodyguard for one of the young ones. My weapon of choice is a short-sword, made by me, one of my personal favorite creations. Reason for Joining/Bio (at least 1 paragraph): Pythagorix woke from a deep sleep. He awoke in a hospital bed, in Kal’Dwain. But there was something eerie about where he was. There was nobody around, which was strange for such a city. After working for the Lenblades, he had failed his mission as a bodyguard after he was wounded by a failed assassination attempt. For years after, he scoured the streets, looking for work from his past life, looking for a forge to work at. He then found himself at Elysium and Kalos, trying to scrape a living off of making cheap armour off of the few resources there were. When he came to Kal’Azagoth, he joined the Legion, hoping to make armour once again. But those days seemed over for now, unless he could find something like the Blacksmith’s Guild, so he can restore his former skills. What Will You Add to the Guild? On top of being a former blacksmith, I am obedient and will follow orders, as well as being independent when necessary. How active are you on the server? I try to be on every day, but due to complications with school, I can only manage to consistantly play on the weekends.
  4. Name: Vulpen Rae'Civi Truename ((MCName)):xlr20ice Origin: Normandor, a terrible mistake on the fault of my parents. How can you prove that you are Mali'thill? I was told from birth that I was of the purest of blood. I am tall and have silvery-white hair like my Mali’aheral bretheren, as well as sky blue eyes. I have a natural hate for races other than our blessed one, it has been something I was born with and my parents engrained forever in my mind. Besides my obvious appearance and behavior, I can speak the language of our ancestors, as well as read and write proficiently. Why do you wish to become a citizen of Haelun'or: I wish to become a true Mali'aheral by becoming a citizen of the blessed Motherland. What is your personal vision for our blessed race: We are the true race of Asulon, created in the perfect image of Malin himself. All other races are simply failed versions created by others that have tried to imitate our race in general. Other races do not posses the intelligence and reserve that we do. They are too loud, vile, and stupid to function correctly. Our blessed race is the only race out of all others, to become the living embodiment of perfection. What does maehr'sae hiylun'ehya mean to you: In the common tongue, it literally means, “Progress is maintaining purity.” I take that to mean that progress and purity go hand in hand with each other. Without our own scientific advancement and growth, we cannot continue to be truly pure. We must keep ourselves moving forward to be ahead of others, for even the most unlikely opponent is to pass the sharp mind when it is off guard. And where there is true purity, there is continuous progress and advancement. What Elven phrase do you particularly take to heart? Please explain why: Taelu hileia- to learn is peace. The gift of knowledge is what sets us Mali’aheral from other beings. Personally, when I learn new things it gives my life purpose. Essentially, it gives me peace of mind, and some peace in body as well. What is the subject of the first book you will submit to the college: The importance of keeping sacred knowledge secret. What would be your reaction if you ever saw a human, orc and unknown Mali'aheral travel the roads from Alras together: Well it would be obvious that I would become extremely irate at the Mali’aheral. He would be classified in my mind as a traitor. To me, becoming within even a few meters of those THINGS can make you feel terribly impure, let alone travelling with one. His credibility as a Mali’thill would be lost at that moment, in my eyes and surely in the eyes of others. What home would you like to receive: (if left blank you will be granted one of the free residences, if one is availible): I wish to own a small hall to shelter myself in the glory of Haelun'or. Are there any other details about yourself you wish to relay to the council: ((I was told by Kalenz Uradir to post my book here due to the bookworm plugin being broken, so here it is.)) *a small piece of parchment written with fine calligraphy is attached to the piece of parchment were the application was.* The Master Key: A short essay on knowledge and secrecy. Knowledge is the key to many doors. Having the master key to a house is an incredible power to have over someone. It allows you to explore new ways of doing things and new areas with ease. The master key of a house almost grants you ownership of the house itself. The world around us is the house, and knowledge is the master key. But the master key of the physical world must be kept out of the hands of the unworthy. Valah would obviously corrupt it in some way, just like they did with the discovery of cannons or the discovery of fire. Bortu would keep the knowledge to themselves, and use it to give themselves more riches and feed their bottomless pit of greed more material wealth and food for their interminable stomachs to feast upon. Uruks are easily corruptible, and the possession of such knowledge would only fuel the insignificant wars among themselves to the point of their own destruction and the destruction of others. Even our cousins, Mali’ame and Mali’ker, could use such knowledge to bring about destruction and evils to themselves. The sacred knowledge of our ancestry must be kept with the appropriate bloodline. And by that, I obviously mean that the Mali’aheral, the purest of the pure, should be the owners of the master key that we should rightfully possess. We cannot assume that we are the greatest of the beings of Asulon. We must work to become who we are truly. Truly, we are superior. But even the most advanced of beings can become overcome by the masses of ignoramuses when the mind is at rest. Wouldn’t it be horrible to be overtaken by those who keep working while we rest on our laurels of our past achievements? It would be, so we must keep working, keep advancing, keep growing, and keep moving forward. The use of such knowledge could bring about ways to better our lives to the point were we have achieved ascendance from our current state into something more, something even greater than the Mali’thill. With knowledge, we can stomp out plague and strife. With this knowledge, we can improve ourselves to become even more so incomparable to the other lowly creatures of Asulon. The greatest gift of knowledge was given to us, the Mali’aheral to be cherished and reserved for our own betterment. This is not an act of greed, but a fulfillment of destiny. *a name is signed on the bottom of the parchment, “Vulpen Rae’Civi”
  5. Thanks for the support man! It means a lot.

  6. Your circus group sounds awesome. :) I'd join, but it wouldn't fit my character very much. Hope to see you around Asulon!

  7. *as you walk by in the Cloud Temple you see a small sign posted on one of the walls. The sign says, “The Faciants are looking for actors, engineers, bards, and all other forms of entertainers!” Not knowing what that is, but are intrigued anyway, you look closer onto a small piece of parchment, decorated with strange calligraphy and symbols.* The Faciants Not too long ago, a man by the name of Valador stood in a small tent in a field, telling a story. He did this each night, as soon as the sun set, a fire was lit and all the children gathered around Valador to listen to his stories. He told stories of the Heroes of Olde, the Lenblades, adventurous bear-fighting Halflings, and of ancient beasts waiting to awaken. There were many children who came every night to hear his stories but one especially interested child was Galliex, Valador’s son. Galliex had a very active imagination, it was almost a gift. Galliex thought about the stories as if they were sung and acted out by a group of people. He pictured himself, standing on a stage, telling a story, surrounded by dancers dressed in amazingly decorated costumes, bards singing playing their lutes to the story, and tricksters shooting sparks and strange beams of light out of their hands. This imagination grew and grew, until one day, Valador left him to find his family. Valador was part of a family that his stories told about. Galliex waited every day until the day his childhood ended for Valador to return and tell the stories of his travels. Valador never returned, and upon the ill news of his death, Galliex was more determined than ever to achieve his dream of becoming the storyteller and taking his fathers place. He wanted to become just like Valador, but in Galliex's own image of glory and splendor. But to do that, he had to have a team with him. He tried to talk his other family members to join in and help him, but they all rejected the "foolish" life of a storyteller. So he started the Faciants, a traveling acting group that would entertain and enlighten the masses. The Faciants are recruiting people to become an entertainer! We are also taking jobs to perform around Asulon! Send a bird to Galliex Lenblade with an application attached. Entertainer Application ((MC NAME)): Roleplay name: Race: Age: Some basic information about you((backstory)) What can you do to help us?: What would you like to be?: Show Contract ((MC NAME)): Roleplay name: Where would you like this to be? 12. *Valador Lenblade's hands tremble as he writes on the parchment. His lip quiver and his eyes tear up with water, but he is not quite crying. His back is hunched, his legs are bent, and it looks like he had aged fifty years. His eyes were dead and dark, his skin was clammy and pale. He starts to write in shaky letters,* "Looking for my brother Borus Lenblade, He has brown eyes, hair and tan skin, He usually carries around his blade, sometimes used as a walking stick. He has a slight dwarven accent, but if human. He has a patch that says "BL" on his shoulder and he was last seen wearing the uniform for the Elendil Bannerman. *A crude drawing of Borus is hung in the middle of the paper http://www.minershoes.com/skin/view/i50358d7330d5203258774173653296322163296* "He has gone missing, pressumed dead. But I have not given up hope just yet. If you find him, contact Valador Lenblade by sending a bird to Ildon, Thank you, *An artistic signature is singed at the bottom of the page* ~VL~
  13. *Raldo gets up on the platform with a few other folks watching, and says, "T'is is a story about Poco and the Bear, me grandparents told me t'is one. T'ey said 'twas 'bout me grand gran-pappy." Raldo goes on to tell the story in a sing-song voice, making hand gestures.* ((Pretend to read the story as if it was in a halfling accent. I really couldn't be bothered typing a whole story with an accent.))
