  1. So it looks we are a bit split. Perhaps we can start a list of pros and cons between a mountain city and the traditional underground city. I'll start it: Mountain City: Pros - Can layer and make the city smaller Perhaps easier to construct in survival Can expand Easier Potential positive change from our normal city Cons - Weaker defenses Discrepancy amongst cave dwarves Absence of our grand halls Underground City: Pros - Keep the recognition of our beautiful underground cities Easier to protect, basically not able to be sieged Prevents scaring of our mountains Harder for enemies to enter for raids Cons- Causes the need for wings the make rp spread out Absence of a centered area for rp Harder to construct and expand upon Usage of fire and lava as a light source causes mega lag "What else?"
  2. 4.0 Dwarf Capital Planning/Ideas ((No names please)) The new map will soon be opening to a build server, and you know what that means, time for the new city, This post will enable ALL dwarves to share their ideas on how to improve upon what we have failed and what we can continue. However, we do not know who will be the dwarven representative, it's best that we agree upon what will be best for us. Now what the staff say. So let's get started. City Type: Same Old - Underground city Cavern City - City with walls and such and insider a large cavern. Remain to look natural of the cavern, and can even have farms outside the wall, but still be underground. Mountain City - City built on TOP of the mountain, though still has buildings and homes embedded into the side of the mountain. Typical city for mountain dwarves. Mix - A underground portion of the city with some outside areas and overhangs. Can also mean an underground entrance leading to a mountain city. Will be kind of like storms, however will maintain the mountain aspect. Copy of storms - Same idea as Storms crossing. Copy and paste. Entrance: Same old - Grand entrance into the mountain like Azgoth and Mount Ire Wall - A gate outside connected to a wall before entering the city. Underground - After walking through an underground cavern, with bridges and such, you come across a large gate completely hidden from the outside Outside - Would just be a gate for a mountain city. Will be at top and the point between exiting and leaving the mountain top. City Concept (Middle point/theme of city): Trade - city centered on shops and trade Roleplay - Centered around church, tavern, and other rp hubs ((City will like be revolved with the idea of Hammer and Anvil)) Others - Well there are just some ideas to decipher upon, however please reply with ANY suggestions. Here is a format to help you out. Idea of a mountain city in Asulon, Kal'Anart.

  10. Indago's Epiphany Into the life of Brathmordakin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeoxgxFH67A 6th of the Deep Cold, 1442; The storm of the high mountains in Urguan intensified, creating a sheet of snow blinding those who dared traveled through. Snow came from every direction known, constantly circling around. The wind whistled, creating a ring in the old dwarf’s ears as Indago made way to the city of Kal’Azgoth. His iron boots crunched the snow with each step his legs could endure. The continuous blizzard had risen the snow to the dwarf’s armored thighs making it an ambitious task to move forward. The escorting flames along the side of the narrow path had perished while the sun was falling behind the mountain peaks. Never did the storm let up as each stride tested the dwarf’s endurance and strength. Still, Kal’Azgoth was distant, a traveler's nightmare. With a hand shielding the snow from his eyes, Indago attempted to veer past the white canvas to gain a spectate of his home city. Though, each step took tremendous strength, progressing his legs past the snowy crypt while using his arms to maintain balance. The metal from his armor became ice cold, leaving only the strands from his honorary beard to maintain his warmth to survive the daunting task. The outcome did not look well for this individual. With every breath, his mouth became dry from the chilling air making the desire for liquified water astronomical. It wasn’t too long until his eyebrows and bushy mustache formed crystals jabbing against the dwarf’s face with every struggle of movement. Nearing the city of treasure did not give Indago the vitality to move on. However, the silent sky released a thunder echoing in throughout the mountains. The flash was intense as it maneuvered through the flying snow in the night sky. The bolt was easily visible to be a menacing blue which gave light in Indago’s eyes. It appeared to have struck above the lads destination, the haven. He became dismayed of the contingent sight. A solid ring entered his head, stronger from the continuous howling winds of the storm. The fresh snow beneath his feet concealed the dwarf’s head, after he had collapsed from fatigue. Though, there was no darkness, no unending void of pure black, but a vision of a soft glow. The ominous light was a soft tint of red radiating in his mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nksp7zjrYE&list=PLULxvGm3Qpbh86mjxw_iPPWjV2P2X-sRU It did not take long as the glow revamped into a shadow. The figure looked quite similar to the Brotheren’s from his nation. It was indeed a dwarf, emerging from this shadowy figure to confront dear Indago. The dwarf did not speak, nor did he ever look over took notice of his view. He was looking away, but for what purpose? Indago did not recognize this man standing in front of him, or the clothing that he wore. After several minutes, another shadowy figure appeared behind the mysterious dwarf. Again, it looked mortal, almost like a human. The figure stayed out of clear sight for a long moment before it too began walking, ever so slowly. It came toward Indago, to the point where the other mysterious dwarf was standing. The new figure was odd however. It’s body had no anatomy, more of a soft black radiance that was a shape of a man. A mortal. The figure did however wear a mask. A magnificent mask forged from the finest iron, that even the Dwarves rarely contain. There were no details, nor was there anything unique about what this shape had, besides it was made of beautiful iron. The figure rose a sketchy shape of a right arm and rested it upon the dwarf’s left shoulder. The dwarf did not move. He continued to stare off, away from Indago. They both stared off to their right. All of a sudden, the masked figure turned directly at Indago, the lifeless being muttered two words. Words spoken in a hoarse tone, from the crackle of a dried throat in a low, somber tone, “Nazka Kavir”. They walked out of view. Petrified, he did not stress to search for the two mysterious entities. Now, only the red glow remained. The glow soon to disappear. It slowly became dimmer, and dimmer, and dimmer. The mountain. The sight of the rocky slopes that held the city of treasure was in view as a small, ominous glow of red faded quickly revealing the sight of the Shrine of Yemekar. Indago looked around, moving his hands around the moist gravel that he laid on. The cracking of a fire was heard beside him. It granted him warmth, his life. The burning, orange flame survived the storm. The storm of taunting winds and blinding snow. With the armor clanking as he made his way up to his feet, he look around at the path he had entered through. The fires in which guided travelers to the city appeared to all perish. Only the one that stands alone was inches from Indago’s feet. He couldn’t but help stare at the dancing flames at awe as they waved in an unpredicting pattern while radiating heat. Moments before he was about to leave, the fire vanished, as if it had been drenched by water. The empty fireplace gave out an immediate hizzle, sounding almost of a name. “Urir Ireheart” The words faded amongst the steam leaving the dwarf to ponder. Epilogue: Indago eventually researched this name in the files in the remembrance halls. He discovered that it was a dwarf that sacrificed his life to save the races of Aegis after him, Kjell Ireheart and Valen Blackaxe entered the Nether to defeat the undead. Curiosity of the Shrine of Yemekar, he received knowledge that of the Brathmordakin. The lightning bolt is the symbol of Belka, the god of chaotic good. Reading further, he discovered that the iron mask is the symbol of Dungrimm, the god of lawful good and is known as the “Guardian of the Dead”. The discovery shook him as it was astounding to him. He was indeed grateful that these gods saved his life in the unforgettable storm. With this, Indago soon read up on the Brathmordakin that enlighten him. He now knew the questions. He was touched by the Gods and wanted to share the story and to make everyone he confronted know of this happiness you can have with yourself. Not too long after, he traded up his Legion uniform for a religious garment he designed that bared the symbol of the Brathmordakin. This began the start of Indago’s preaching of Brathmordakin.
