Having been coaxed into writing his own letter, due to the ten straight hours of Guyden's yelling, as well as the pretty writings of all the other Druid folk who felt important enough to do so, a rather corrupt Archdruid would pen his own response.
Brother Song,
Years ago we met, though it was brief. I am Skale Avern, also known as Sae'kel Silma, or to the Druidic Order; Brother Hummingbird. Since last we met, I have taken the mantle of Archdruid and aim to change the way the Mother Circle views various topics. I offer to you an invitation. I would like to meet one on one, somewhere comfortable and where you would feel safe. If the Mother Grove is not that to you, perhaps the Naelurir can host our meeting. And if they do not or it does not entice you, I hear the Cloud Temple is still neutral ground. If we can meet there, I'm sure we both will leave unharmed and such. I can pen my feelings to you in regards to your absence, but it is pointless. Many come and go over the centuries. A year to a human is but a blink of an eye to our kind. As such, to be gone for centuries is nothing to our kin. I do not hold it against you. You feel as if you've wronged this order and the Druids as a whole by stepping away. Fine. Return to us, work with us. You do not have to fear unattunement or danger, as I hope to prove to you if we can meet and discuss our ideologies and beliefs. Sadly, there is much going on within the world that threatens not only the sanctity of our faith, our lives, or our homes; but also the Order's future.
It is safe to say I believe tradition is the corpse of a dying beast. To live within it alone will certainly lead to your own doom. To live without it entirely will close our eyes to the dangers presented to us in a world full of dancing shadows and bloodthirsty beasts. I would like to confer with you on traditions long forgotten, so the Druidic Order under my lead can work towards bringing a blend of tradition and modernization into the way things are done. If this interests you, please write back. You will find dozens who wish to tell you how they feel and believe. However, before I do such a thing, I would like to know what you believe.
Be well brother, may the Aspects guide your path.
Sincerely,
Brother Hummingbird, Sae'kel Silma, Skale Avern
