Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am an 'A' student with blonde hair and freckles, nicknamed by my friends as 'the nerd'. My favorite subject is Language Arts and outside of school I play baseball and computer.
How much time could you be on the server weekly?:During the school year, about two and a half hours, and during the summer about three and a half hours.
What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:Roleplaying is when you control a character by thinking as the character would, not as yourself.
What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:I've been Roleplaying for about a year now on a friends server that usually has fifteen to twenty players on. Also, I used to play WoW, and did some RP on there.
In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:Meta-Gaming is when you use information known by you, but not your character, in game.
In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is:Power-Emoting is when one character acts in a certain way towards anothr character, and the second character's actions change because of it. For example, Player1 killing Player2 is Power-Emoting.
In your own Words, define what Out of Character (OOC) is:Out of Character (OOC) is when the player acts or talks as themselves and not as their character. If used in Roleplay, it is Meta-Gaming.
In your own Words, define what In Character (IC) is:In Character (IC) is when a player acts and talks as their character, and not as themselves.
In your own Words, define what the difference between RP and RPG is:RP is when the players in a game form the world and/or story. This is usually based off of what characters say and do. An RPG is when there is a story already set out, and the players have little or no control over what happens in the world. Often there is a group of admins or a company that comes up with what happens in the world/story.
What do you expect this server will be like?:I expect the LotC server to be a colosall world full of endless RP experiences.
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:I play on a friends RP Minecraft server, as mentioned before. I have not yet left it, but I plan on doing so if I get accepted into LotC. Also I played on WoW for about 3 months, and left it because I felt that I didn't have enough freedom, in the case that I couldn't really make any changes to the enviroment around me. I feel that I will not have the same problem on this server.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):
History: Gilan is in his early twenties, and grew up in Fairfield as a child. He lived with his Uncle, who owned the local Inn. He worked there, and because of this he has learned how to act in a way that most people enjoy being around him. This trait made him a valued worker for his Uncle, and he worked there until he was 18. In his free time, Gilan practiced his swordsmanship in the basement of the Inn. He had set up targets made out of straw, and drew targets with charcoal left over from the fireplace. His Uncle tragically passed away at the extent of a heart attack at age 54, leaving Gilan to run the Inn by himself. He did so for 7 months, and then the buissness took a turn for the worst. Travelers seemed to get more and more scarce, and he had to close. Now, Gilan roams the Holy Oren Empire, housing at friends of which he has made along his travels. In the evenings he goes to local bars and listens to old folk tales, and every once in a while he'll tell one of his own.
Appearence: Gilan is short for his age, at a meer 5' 3". His blue eyes seem to peirce through who/what ever he is looking at. He has light brown hair, and a scruffy, unkept beard. His green and brown tunic make it easy for him to blend in, which he does often in order to get out of harms way.
Personality: Gilan has the thought proccess of a wolf, meaning that he thinks everything through carefully. His curiosity tends to sometimes get him into trouble, but this is a trait that he is constantly working on. Another trait of his is that he knows how to strike a conversation with literally everyone. This makes it easy for him to make friends, and he is known quite well in Seventis, where he spends a lot of his time, because of it.
What are your Character's ambitions?:Gilan's ambitions are few and simple. He enjoys slaying monsters both for their Minas and for the safety of his fellow Humans. He also enjoys designing and building houses, for it reminds him of his Uncle who had a similar hobbie.
What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):Gilan's favorite tool is the sword because it gives him a sense of security. As a child, he had a close encounter with a zombie. Luckily a guard stepped in and saved him, but he will never be able to get the image of those bloodshot eyes, the ugly green skin, and the lack of teeth out of his head. Now he doesn't have to worry about such a problem because he always carries his sword by his side.
What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?Gilan's most skilled talent is swordsmanship. As stated earlier, he is always using his sword, and this makes him a very skilled swordsman.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?Gilan steps back into the shadows, out of sight, and watches the harassment unfold. After the departure of the warriors, he steps up to the halfling, who is sitting on the side of the road with a defeated look in his eyes. "Pardon me asking, sir, but what has just happened to 'ya?" After hearing the story through, Gilan helps the halfling up and gives him a small portion of his own money. Then, he escorts him to the Cloud Temple and asks the monks to care for the unfortunate traveler.
Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?Gilan cheerfully replies, " What're 'ya selling?" When he finds out that the man is selling simple items of small value, for a fortune, he says, "Highway robbery 'tis this!" He explains to the forigner that his prices are much too expensive, thinking that he isn't firmiliar with the trading system of the locals. The man replies, "Get out of me shop! I'll sell me items at the prices I want to sell 'em at!" Gilan quickly turns and continues on his way.
Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:Gilan takes a look outside to make sure that nobody is around, and then quickly and quietly takes one of the iron bars. He then leaves the hut and reports it to the nearest town, thinking it looks suspicious. Whilst having a conversation with one of the locals, he finds out that an old man lives there, and has for many years. Gilan then returns to the hut only to find the owner sitting inside, reading a novel. He knocks on the door, and when invitied inside, says,"I found this iron bar near your house, and was wondering if it was yours?" The elder man realizes that it is indeed his, and GIlan returns the bar. He is then invited into the hut for a drink and a quick bite.
Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?Gilan greets them kindly, with a sparkle in his eye, and explains his situation, asking if he can impose on them for a bite to eat and a bed to lay upon. The citizens of the trading camp gladly invite you in, and give you directions to the nearest village. Gilan finds himself to be feeling at home as he sips from his mug and chats with the locals in front of a fire. He tells them many a story, and in the morning is on his way.
You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:Gilan approaches the leader and asks what the reward would be, and how many bandits are about. When he finds out that the reward is reasonable, four iron bars, and there are a mere fifteen bandits abroad, he willingly accepts the offer and gathers with the other soldiers, preparing for battle. His heart pounding, GIlan says a quick prayer for saftey of himself and his allies, and departes to destroy the enemy.
